1. 7 weeks/Oct. 16th

3. I thought MS hit this week, was sick a few days, but honestly not sure if it was MS or related to this cold I have (mucus drainage making me nauseous). Either way, I feel bad I gave in and had some ginger ale (was trying to give up pop for Lent). Also, a NBR Rave..I found out last Monday that I got tenure at my job!!! I'm soooo excited, it's something I've been working towards for the past 7 years and it's an awesome feeling.

4. No nickname. Right now just "baby #2" or sometimes "baby dos."

Congratulations @JamieK1882! Glad you finally found out and got good news! Also, the combo of MS and congestion/mucus from my cold is THE WORST. Dry heaving everywhere

Rants/Raves/Questions: My blood draw results came back and everything is looking good. Hooray for little victories!

GTKY: (stolen from Friday/Saturday): Do you have a nickname for baby yet and if so, what is it? Cosette (we are Les Mis nerds). Not really a name I'm considering, but it does come from the French word "chosette" which means "little thing". Seems apt for right now!

3. Rants/Raves/Questions: I'm still trying to make good food choices (emphasis on the word "trying"). But is it normal to feel this hungry so early on? I can really put some food away, and I don't want to mindlessly eat just because there's someone else in there. But my appetite has really grown in the last two weeks, before I even knew there was a little one in there.

4. GTKY: (stolen from Friday/Saturday): Do you have a nickname for baby yet and if so, what is it? We found out about LO when I was 5 weeks and 1 day. One of the apps I use said that it was the size of a BB pellet. DH and I looooove Star Wars, so we nicknamed it BB.

3. Rants/Raves/Questions: Thankfully morning sickness seems to be abating. That was a friggen miserable three weeks. Nothing really doing now, I'm just beginning to feel normal again (except for the gigantic boobs thing).

1. How far along are you/EDD? 6 weeks/10-232. How big is baby? The size of a lady bug or chocolate chip3. Rants/Raves/Questions: I have my dating scan on Tuesday. The nurse at my OB office said my beta draw from 5+1 was really high and that I might measure ahead a few days. I wish she hadn't said that because now I have my hopes up that I'll go in and they'll move my EDD up. Question: I think I forgot to take my PNVs last night. Should I double up today?4. Rants/raves/questions? I just had my first appointment this past week and now I'm waiting for a letter to come in the mail telling me when I get my dating ultrasound. I'm checking the mail daily!

GTKY do you have a nickname for your baby? not yet.
We probably will have one eventually. We called DD gizmo, after someone said you'll need all sorts of gizmos and gadgets for your new baby. DS got called bumble because we told dd we were having a baby at Christmas when we were reading the Rudolph book and she couldn't say baby, but she kept saying bumble (the name of the abominable snow monster in rudolph)so it stuck.

1. How far along are you/EDD? 6 weeks! Yay!!! EDD Oct 23rd

2. How big is baby? Size of a ladybug

3. Rants/Raves/Questions: has time slowed way down for anyone else? I feel like last week took forever to pass and I'm not even having MS yet. Last week my symptoms lightened (I'm pretty sure I just got used to them because if I thought about them, I realized they were still there). So on Friday night, I had spotting again, I totally over reacted. I was thinking crap! Symptoms gone and now bleeding has started! Turns out I caught the spotting as it was happening making me think it was more than it really was. Plus I had gotten dizzy and hard of breathing which turned out to be because I was being lazy and wasn't drinking enough water and was dehydrated. So don't forget to hydrate ladies!!

4. GTKY: (stolen from Friday/Saturday): Do you have a nickname for baby yet and if so, what is it? I call it my little buddy. I think SO is afraid of getting too attached so he hasn't called it anything yet...

@mrscorker I would not double up on the prenatal. Just try to remember today!

@MRSCORKER I wouldn't recommend doubling up the prenatals. While there are some vitamin that anything extra flushes out with your urine (water soluble) like vitamin C, some vitamins are fat soluble and won't flush out extra which means you can overdose and it could cause health isses. I don't think that taking two one time would cause any damage but be careful!

Rants/Raves/Questions starting to slow down and feel exhausted all the time I have to give myself blood thinner shots daily due to having a history of blood clots so I just need to whine how my stomach is getting super bruised I'm so over doing them already but have so long to go! Oh well, completely worth it in the end

MS kicked in full gear this week. And I've been an emotional wreck the last few days because my husband is out of town for a few days. So I'm a hot mess over here. Lol

We call our baby Bean, which was inspired by 2 different things. My dad used to call me Christine the Bean when I was a little girl. And when I found out I was pregnant I told my husband that this baby would be more Mexican than he is (because he was raised by a Scottish woman and never knew his father) and then I called it our little Mexican jumping bean. He started pouting, which I found hysterical, so Bean stuck.

@wegme27 I know what you mean about the blood thinners! My stomach looks horrible and I'm running out of spots to inject myself because of the bruising. Do you have to do them throughout the entire pregnancy? Mine are just the first trimester but it still feels like a long time away- but totally worth it!

@TKBain I have to do them throughout my whole pregnancy. The last couple of weeks I'll be switched to heprin shots twice a day since I'll be getting a csection. I did the same thing last pregnancy it's definitely not fun! I'm surprised your dr isn't keeping you on them throughout due to the increased risk of getting another clot during pregnancy.

2. How big is baby? Blueberry according to TB, a Brookesia micra chameleon: approximately 0.5"

3. Rants/Raves/Questions: we told our in-laws this weekend - that was fun! My parents are next weekend

4. GTKY: (stolen from Friday/Saturday): Do you have a nickname for baby yet and if so, what is it? Pumpkin! Probably because it's a combo of the baby being due in October and I love everything pumpkin, so it seemed fitting

@mrscorker - I echo PP. I incorporated my PNVs into my evening routine...flossing/brushing my teeth and peeing 3x so it's just habit now. I also do this to avoid taking it too close to an caffeine since it can interrupt the absorption of folic acid (and also, if it s going to upset my stomach, I'll be asleep...hopefully).

I guess I should be enjoying the reprieve from symptoms but its making me worry a little. I have always carried my morning sickness into the beginning of the second trimester so the fact that I am feeling so good is different. I actually got tons of housework done yesterday because of it which was nice.

Okay, kind of silly so don't judge. When I got pregnant with our IUD baby I asked the doctor at what point would she no longer be concerned. She said once we see a healthy heartbeat. Hubby is big into music and likes to make his own beats for fun. So baby became known as "baby beats". So this time around we have been calling our little one "Remix". Something my hubby said being silly and it just stuck, we aren't finding out the sex, so we will probably be referring to this little one as Remix for a while

I'm super excited right now. Going tomorrow to get confirmation at Doctor and hopefully get first appointment set up. Teaching again for this 3rd pregnancy after taking some time off and being a sahm and living abroad in Germany.

@wegme27 I'm not actually officially diagnosed with a clotting disorder. Historically, i wasn't able to stay pregnant past 5 weeks and all of our chromosomal testing on our embryos looked normal so this time around they decided I should try blood thinners and an antihistamine protocol which has worked so far! I think they said by the second trimester the baby would be protected by the placenta and we wouldn't need to worry but I'm definitely going to ask again when we get out US this Wednesday!

@TKBain oh I gotcha. Well I hope you only have to deal with them for a little! I had 3 DVTs so when I'm pregnant I'm more prone to blood clots because of the increased hormones. The coincidental thing about my clots is I originally got the first two from birth control! So now I can't take birth control (has to do with the hormones in it)

3. We did the ring test last night and it shows to be a girl. Also the morning sickness is dying down a bit. I still vomit first thing in the morning but the all morning long nausea Is staying at bay as long as I keep food in me.
