I orders this one off of etsy. I feel like shopping for boys was so much harder than it was for DD. Everything I found in stores had something sports related or said something about locking up your daughters. I'll probable add some grey pants depending on if Phoenix is in full summer mode or not.
Finished the design for the Big Sister/ Little Brother shirts! SFIL does sales for a screen printing company, so he's going to get them printed for us. I also found flannel to make DS some matching pants and a hat, and a headband for DD. Now to actually get out the sewing machine... Next house, I really want a craft space where it can stay out!
@linzoirv yes, it's from H&M! It's so cute. I probably won't decide until I can see what the weather is like at that time. It was snowing all day yesterday and today was very sunny, you can't trust the Scandinavian spring
We don't know baby's gender. i got this body suit from gap, but in a size 0-3mo otherwise we have a tigger body suit in a newborn size - isn't very super "welcome home" but would work.
I honestly just learned this week that the going home outfit was a thing. My husband is perplexed by the idea and I am a bit too but I like be shopping for stuff for the little guy so this is just an excuse for me to find something else that is cute. I haven't found anything I like yet though =/
Also mini rant: why is so much boy stuff sports themed? Neither my hubby or I care about pretty much any sport and are annoyed at all the sports and car/truck theming for little boys. Really limits your selection when you don't care for that stuff. =/

Yeah sport themed or super macho themed about hiding your daughters, or how they had boobs for breakfast. It's awful.
I got this today. It works. Now I just need to find some bottoms and a hat to go along with. I'm trying to find some footed pants, but can't find any in NB.

So, I'm thinking their idea of newborn is a little off. This is my 24lb 2 year old. I think I'll just have her come home in the same outfit my last two came home in. Pfft. Newborn.
When my Canadian family was here last week, I polled them about an outfit to bring baby home and they unanimously picked this one. My question is: is this safe for carseat? And I should probably put a onesie underneath , right?

Yes to car seat safe. I would only do a onesie if it's scratchy inside or if it's really cold. DD had to have her legs wrapped in a blanket (like being swaddled) to be happy in the car seat and that would be a lot of layers.

Fine for the car. I would probably put a short sleeve onesie or a light undershirt on underneath. At least that way the zipper isn't rubbing directly on his umbilical stump and once you're home it can be a quick change since that might get hot.

Considering I am in Canada, and often there is still snow on the ground in early April, I don't think heat is an issue we will face. LOL
@thaisac1 I will be giving LO a short sleeved onesie with a suit on top, and then put in a similar driving coat as I do not think heat is a problem here too
I wasn't going to worry about it, because who cares what they're wearing really, but I came across this one on the Target clearance rack and couldn't help myself. : )
We haven't found anything we just love, and my cousin sent us this.... We aren't dead set on him wearing it home, but it's an option if we don't find anything we like better.

Holy Adorable. Any idea where she got it? I love elephants
My grandpa was 12 or 13 (nobody can remember now) and my five foot nothing, 90 pound great grandma said he was the easiest of her six births. I myself thought my eight pounder was way easier than my six and a half ... and my eight and a half pound baby had sticky shoulders, but was still out in under five minutes of pushing. Stay upright for pushing!
This is DD coming home outfit,, its NB ,,my other children were 7 lbs 0.9oz and 6lbs exact so it should be fineand i could not help myself,, also got teddy blanket
@mrstrax It's from Etsy! I had to look it up to find it to attach the picture. lol I think I searched "elephant newborn coming home outfit" or something like that. It looked like they had different colors, too.

I am using a similar outfit, since we don't know baby's sex we have the gray and white one. I love the little bear on the butt.
Finally picked out LO's coming home outfit. Found it at a little boutique shop in my small town. Its very classic, and has a bonnet too. DH doesn'tcare much for it, says its too girly and he doesn'tlike the bonnet....but I think its precious and he will only be wearing it to come home And maybe for some pics well.! he will also wear little crocheted blue booties that my grandmother made before she passed.
I'm a Harry Potter geek and this LO will be born in England so we are going with this. I have a blanket to put over her in the carseat and socks but I mean... she will be outside for 2 minutes so I'm not all too worried.
