Disney Movie

Currently, I am watching Lilo & Stitch with the kids I watch and it got me thinking...what is y'alls favorite Disney movie?? And why?? Just a fun idea.

Mine is a tie between Lilo & Stitch and Beauty and the Beast. Besides both of them obviously being awesome movies ;) I love everything about Lilo & Stitch, that kind of music along with the atmosphere and location make me happy and put me in a good mood. I like Beauty and the Beast because I'm French and love the music.

Re: Disney Movie

  • Its hard for me to find a disney movie I don't like. but Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, Lion King, and Pocahontas take me back to my youth and make me happy.

  • Wow.. tough question! I basically love all Disney movies! Beauty and the Beast and The Lion King are probably top of the list... I'm also a sucker for Frozen and not ashamed to admit it.
  • As a kid I loved fox and the hound. For the newer Disney movies I actually like frozen a lot. I'd say monsters inc is one of my all time favs.
  • The Lion King is my all-time favorite!
  • Beauty and the Beast! 1) Because I looooove French everything 2) I like to think I give people second chances to show how awesome they could become.
  • @court5608 I completely forgot about frozen!!! I'm obsessed
  • The Little Mermaid was my favorite growing up! I wanted to be a mermaid so bad! I also love The Lion King and Finding Nemo. I'm quite excited for Finding Dory as well.

  • I love the Little Mermaid! i assume it is because I love to swim and my dad always called me a fish
  • I like the Lion King and Finding Nemo... I guess I am just a sucker for the cute animals! And of course as a child of a certain generation, I grew up obsessed with the Little Mermaid, too.
  • Lady and the Tramp! And frozen now but maybe that's bc my 2 year old is obsessed...

  • I love most Disney movies, but I did not like Lilo & Stitch...it's depressing! It may be the only Disney movie I have only seen once.

Otherwise, I really like Beauty and the Beast, Up, Wall-e, and Frozen.

But also Monsters, Inc, Cars, and the last Toy Story (3?)--what a sob fest!

  • Pocahontas for sure!

Mulan and Lion King are in the top for me, too.  :D
  • I would say beauty and the beast and pirates of the carribean.
  • Lilo and Stitch and Finding Nemo. I'm excited for Finding Dori. I just hope they don't destroy it.

I grew up loving Beauty and the Beast, Lion King, and Aladdin so I get nostalgic thinking of them.

I also love Toy Story and Monsters Inc too.
  • Beauty and the Beast was my childhood fav and of the new movies, Tangled
  • The little mermaid and beauty and the beast. I was both for Halloween as a kid and won 1st place at school for both.  I love all Disney movies really though.

  • Little mermaid (because I'm a redhead and there was finally a redhead princess) lion king (hakuna Mattatta ) Aladin snow white omg I love them all !!
  • I'm glad I'm not the only one who can't choose just 1! I would have to say, it's a toss up between The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast and The Lion King. They all bring me back to my childhood! I love Ariel, because like me, she loves to sing. Beauty and the Beast is just incredibly romantic, and I love the Be our Guest scene. The Lion King is just awesome!!!
  • My vote is for Frozen because it's the first Disney movie that poked fun at "falling in love" and getting married within a few days, and because it focuses on sisterly love more than romance, PLUS it's hilarious and Olaf is amazing! All-time favorite Disney song is definitely "In Summer".

  • I love all the Disney films from the Howard Ashman/Alan Menkin era - beauty and the beast, little mermaid, aladdin. I also really love Lilo and Stitch, Emperor's New Groove, and Incredibles (are we letting disney/Pixar in the mix?) for their irreverent humor. Frozen was fun and I like that the love stories for Frozen and Brave for bring about sisters and mother/daughters respectively

101 Dalmatian. Hands down my all time favorite. I was lucky enough to have the bedding as a kid. I would love to have a dalmatian now but it's not practical to have one in northern Canada, it would be cruel. The music is great, the relationships, the humour. Just good old fashion.

    Edited: I cannot words today
  • Beauty and the Beast was my favorite growing up because Belle was brunette and loved to read. I wanted to be just like her and read everything.

  • I haven't watched many Disney movies since I was a kid, so I'll go with what I remember was my childhood favorite: Aladdin. I thought it was hilarious and loved all the songs. My parents bought us the soundtrack and my siblings, friends, and I would put on "plays" for our parents where we would act out parts of the movie and sing and dance to the songs.

Also, I totally had a cartoon crush on Aladdin as a child. Please tell me I wasn't the only kid in the world to have crushes on animated character! Haha The thought of it still makes me laugh.
