Then I slept for another 3 hours and temped at my normal time and was 97.75. My body is all messed up wiry time zones etc but 97.75 isn't good so I'm pretty sure it will continue to drop. (13 day

R/R/CS: AF is definitely around the corner. Like I said yesterday I'm ok with it. I've got my Mabis on the way so I can start temping this cycle and I'm excited about that. Of course I talked to my mom the other day and she told me she got KU first time trying with me and both of my brothers so that has me a little bummed. But I know that's not reality for most people.

Nothing planned. We did our honeymoon in December and that was an expensive one. DH is also starting a new job this summer so we don't think he'll be able to get away this year. We would both love to do a big trip to Europe. Neither of us have been at all. We have slight disagreements about where in Europe we would like to make a priority though!

R/R/CS: We had an appt with an RE yesterday. He recommended that DH see a urologist but also said the low morphology is not too concerning. He also mentioned that at my age (29) only 1 of 4 eggs is viable. Kind of depressing but makes me feel a little better about being on cycle 8 because I'm telling myself statistically speaking we really only had 2 shots at getting KU. 0/2 is less scary to me than 0/8. Anyway, RE recommended Clomid + IUI. I was surprised he recommended Clomid as I seem to be ovulating every month (and he confirmed this month's O with ultrasound) but he said because my cycles aren't super regular (28-32 days) he would want me to do the clomid. Plus he said insurance doesn't like to cover natural IUI since the results aren't great. Anyone have any experience with Clomid + IUI or natural IUI? Would love to hear your thoughts. He also said we can start as soon as next cycle and they would do CD3 blood work, HSG etc. during the same cycle. Or we can do the testing next cycle and the IUI the following cycle. Part of me is reluctant to jump on the intervention but the other part of me feels like "If they're offering this to me how can I turn it down?"

We will be going to Philadelphia in a few weeks (DH has a conference there so I don't really count this as a get away). We are trying to plan a trip for the Summer--we want to go somewhere that would be ok if I am KU by then. So nowhere I would need to take malaria pills or travel vaccines and nowhere with Zika. So far we're thinking maybe Italy (Amalfi Coast), Spain, or Iceland. Decisions decisions!

Just found out last night H has been planning a 5 year anniversary trip this fall. We did a big vacation in November so we aren't doing anything huge this year. My parents live at the beach so we do lots of weekend trips and my parents love to watch DS when we go on a date night a few times per summer.

@michmich11 1 in 4 eggs?? I agree that is very depressing and alarming to me at 34. I guess according to that doc, I basically have no chance, haha. I don't have any experience with IUI (yet) but I did do my first round of Clomid this cycle, and will be doing another. I was ovulating on my own as well, but my RE said that using Clomid would just help to improve egg quality and cause a "stronger" ovulation, whatever that means. She basically said they just try to optimize everything to give you the best odds. We did TI, but after two more cycles, will move on to IUI. She said we could do IUI sooner if we want, since DH's morphology was slightly low (7%) but she didn't feel like it was a big concern. I had the same feeling as you, even just starting the Clomid, like do I really want/need to do intervention? Since it had only been 7 months and I'm not quite 35 and nothing was really found to be wrong. (We originally started seeing the RE because of possible MFI, but everything turned out to be good there other than the slightly low morphology). I ultimately decided that if the RE felt that it was a reasonable course of treatment, I might as well do it. Good luck with whatever you decide!

R/R/CS: Still spotting and my temp went up slightly today, but I also didn't sleep well and I was awake at least twice in the three-hour window before temping, so I'm sure that's why. I am crampy and I know AF will be here in the next day or so. Feeling a little better today than yesterday. We have a plan, I need to call the RE today and schedule my ultrasound for Monday and just get ready to move on.

We normally do a trip to Florida for MLB spring training in March, but we are buying a house so we decided not to spend the money this year. DH has two small trips planned to see his favorite band play, and I think I made him feel kind of guilty about it since we had decided against our vacation, so he said we can plan a long weekend away somewhere or something. Not sure what we will end up doing. Maybe I'll get an idea from this thread.

jmr1515 It sucks that your chart is being boring. I thought my thermometer was busted when I got exactly the same temp as yesterday morning, although I didn't sleep too well this morning. FX AF stays away.
aliciabhen Sorry about AF, but I'm glad your excited to temp with your Mabis for next cycle.
michmich11 Good to hear that the morphology isn't a big deal. I'm not on it currently, but next cycle my OB suggested putting me on Clomid to help with the quality of my eggs since getting KU isn't so much the issue as staying KU is. She said if what I'm doing now doesn't work this cycle, she's putting me on it for my next one. I also ovulate regularly but she said it increases the overall quality of the eggs being released but can also increases your chances of having multiples to about 10% which concerns me. Good luck with it moving forward.
Ash9614 I'm using the leap year as an excuse to test even though it's still super early at 8DPO. But how cool would it be to say your found out on a leap year. FX for a lucky 29th of February.
sarah0985 I'm already getting the itch to test too. Just get rid of that FMU as soon as you get up so you can't test lol. It works.

R/R/CS: All I can say is that if there is a baby, it better stick. This medication sucks. It's messy and makes me feel terrible. I can't wait for next week so I can see if all this hassle is worth it. Blood work next week to see where my progesterone levels are and if I can convince my doctor to test my Hcg so I can have a definitive answer. Hopefully this cycle is a BFP and a viable one at that. I really don't want to go on Clomid if I can help it, but if I don't have success soon, I guess my young eggs just aren't quite up to par and I'll have to give it a try.

The doctor took blood yesterday to try to figure out what was going on with my stomach and I asked her to throw in HCG test while she's at it. I'm sure it'll be - if the urine test was - this morning. On the plus side, temp was still nice and high this morning.

I stopped at walmart this morning and got a pack of FRER. trying to convince myself to wait until sunday or monday
R/R/CS: My temp was up again this morning even though it was only 65 in our room (brr) so I have hope but now Im reverse SS, now every twinge/smell thats offensive/time I tear up/feel like my boobs are stabbing me/have to pee etc etc I automatically assume its AF. I'm more than an little crazy this cycle. grr

@aliciabhen I feel ya on the mom had a super easy time front. My mom had always said that they really struggled conceiving my little brother, come to find out that "struggled" means 6 months. Whereas she got pregnant the first month with all her other pregnancies. She also mentioned my grandma was also a first month try achiever. I feel just awesome heading into my 8th month, but who knows you could still be a month two conciever!

I keep taking OPKs and all have been negative, so I really think I O'ed on CD 17 but my post-O temps are just really low, which is concerning. I will just wait and see what tomorrow brings!

R/R/CS: I'm feeling no signs that AF is on her way but still getting BFNs. Starting to wonder if I've got a slightly long cycle ahead of me since I think I ovulated on CD17 and I don't know how long my luteal phase normally is since this is my first month trying. Temp went up 1/10 of a degree about 4 days ago and has stayed there, but I think that's too small of a change to be a triphasic temp, yeah?

We went to Iceland for a month in December 2014 (for Christmas) and it was a gigantic blizzard the entire time we were there so I'm excited to see it without snow!

@michmich11 yes that stat is concerning, especially given that I'm 35 but I'll remain hopeful because I got KU with DD at 32 so I have to stick to positivity. Glad the morphology isn't a concern.

R/R/CS: Charting is very interesting but it sucks that I really don't have a point of comparison since this is the first month I'm doing it so right now I'm overanalyzing everything about it LOL. I was using OPK's prior to this but not temping and checking CM, wish I would have started these two things sooner.
I'm going to try to hold off till Leap Day but according to my chart tomorrow I'll be at the -5 day mark from when AF is expected so I'm tempted BUT I know that I'll likely just be wasting a test since there's a big chance it would be negative whether I am KU or not. The only thing that will probably keep me from caving is that I currently only have 1 test left.

GTKY: Do you have any "get aways" planned this year? If not where would you like to go?
We always head 8hrs east to visit my folks for Thanksgiving and 22hrs south to visit his folks for Christmas. Crossing my fingers that we can't make it this year due to getting knocked up. We've also got about a thousand weddings in my home state, some of which I may go solo. I am really hoping we can take a hardcore mode camping trip in some wilderness, but we'll see.

R/R/CS: I had a really hard time waiting to o this month. I had a pretty bad panic attack and had to take a break from all things ttc. So I've been mia from the bump lately. But we've made our appointment with an RE, and I feel well enough and positive enough to be back in the swing.

We were just talking about going to the Dominican this morning so we'll see!

Testing: BFN this morning, I want to test every day, but I might do every other day just to keep my sanity.
R/R/CS: I know 10DPO is early, but it's so hard not to get discouraged. Trying to focus on the positive things going on this weekend to distract me.

None planned. But I should really get on that, because we could use a mini-vacation. Maybe for our first wedding anniversary.

Month/Cycle: 4/4 (7 benched)
CD/DPO: 34 / 17 or 13
Timing: -4 -1 +1 and HIO over the weekend to cover my bases
Testing: Tomorrow!!! I had dreams of BFP all night where I took like 20 tests and they were all positive... I woke up really wanting to test but H was in the bathroom with all my tests and I couldnt wait.
R/R/CS: the last 3 nights I have been getting nauseous/dizzy and crazy heartburn after dinner. It has been not fun at all. The first 2 nights I blamed on dinner/food choices but last night was a very simple "easy" dinner of shrimp and rice and I still had a rough night. I dont know whats going on there. But today is FRIDAY! H has been working 14+ hours a day and its catching up with him, so this weekend is going to be sleeping and relaxing i think.

A few tentative plans, nothing set in stone yet. We usually can get away to spend a week at the lake over the summer and I am hoping lots of camping this spring/summer
