@Julia70286 lol if by not cute you mean terrifyingly aggressive and powerful, then yes I've had enough encounters with aggressive pit bulls that I just don't think it's worth the risk given their attack abilities, even if many people think there are nice ones that should cancel out the danger concerns. It's pretty sad what's been done to them and that so many (not saying all!) people aren't responsible enough to handle certain breeds. Corgis just look like goofs to me hehe
My UO is I had family come visit me this week. While I love that they came to visit all I want to do is veg out and be left alone. Instead I'm having to entertain. Why couldn't they have come last week or in a few weeks?
I think pit bulls just shouldn't exist. Sorry I'm not sorry
WHAAAAAAAT?! SO unpopular with me. Why? Do you just not think that they are cute? I mean I know a lot of breeds that I just do not find cute... corgis... not cute. Don't know why.
Now what could possibly be wrong with a fat, stubby little corgi?

It really is a shame that so many people breed pits for the wrong reason. We have always had rescued pit bulls and they are the SWEETEST. My brother has one right now named Boo who was found abandoned. He has the sweetest demeanor and is scared of everything. My mom just rescued one that was saved after it's previous owner's house burned down. She has two smaller, old dogs, and he is perfect with them. They ARE strong dogs, which unfortunately makes them susceptible to being taken advantage of by breeders and trainers who train for the wrong reasons. It's all in how people train and take care of them. Can't blame the breed for that.
Edit to add corgi comment: @AverageAsh lol I just don't see the fascination with corgis! But to each their own! I certainly don't think they shouldn't exist!
There are far more good pitbulls out there than not. It is the OWNER that makes a dog, again ANY dog, aggressive.
Im sorry you had a bad experience, but saying that they shouldn't exist makes as much sense as saying McDonalds shouldn't exist because you got fat eating their food.
I think pit bulls just shouldn't exist. Sorry I'm not sorry
That is a very UO with me. Watch this video. These are part of the bully breed and often confused with pitts for those who are uneducated about breeds ::ahem::. You'll see here that a big head and strong jaw does not equal aggression. And remember, anything with teeth is meant to bite. My neighbor/good friend's 3 pitts can be trusted around a child well before my cousin's pug And for those of you who love a bully, watch this too #givemeallthepuppies https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HtXMiPCJfd8
My UO for today :Pregnancy is not a disablity. There are off the top of my head about ten women I work with who are pregnant. Several of them suddenly can't do anything because they are pregnant. I understand slowing down and being more careful, but to use pregnancy as a reason not to do something g is sbsurd. I have had several MC and a SB before, but I don't let that incapacitate me. Come on ladies....
@AshleyGemini24 I don't know to what extent your coworkers are slacking off because of their pregnancies, so I suppose they could be milking it, but I do know that I personally have been given A LOT of restrictions from my doctor. So many in fact that I actually can't work anymore unless I can find a desk job somewhere. Everyone's pregnancy is different. Some people work and exercise same as before, some people are bed ridden...
Damn, I thought I would break the Internet with my legging comment, and pitbulls took over. Lol
I agree the board is pretty tame, but I just keep thinking it will pick up more as we start to enter 2nd tri. Honestly, I'm always worried I may not be here tomorrow. Also, I need to read that link someone posted on how to gif!
My unpopular opinion is about Taylor Swift. I can appreciate her talent and drive, however when it comes to her whole girl power, squad goals stuff, I think she may be a wolf in sheep's clothing. I WANT to believe it's not an act, but I just don't know.
Also... I say this as if it even matters in the world and we would actually be friends! Ha ha!

Here's a CliffNotes version I taught myself- 1. right click gif, select "copy image address" 2. Go to bump and click on the drop down that looks like a piece of paper 3. press ctl+v and your image address will paste in 4. See your gif in the text box :-)

100% agree. I think she's SUCH a shrewd businesswoman that the entire persona she's cultivated is completely an act. She's BFFs with literally every young, famous (or up-and-coming) female in the entertainment business? Come on.
My UO for today :Pregnancy is not a disablity. There are off the top of my head about ten women I work with who are pregnant. Several of them suddenly can't do anything because they are pregnant. When I had easy first trimesters? I would agree with you. This time around is absolutely kicking my ass. I literally have a hard time moving without dry heaving. I'm not actually vomiting but the nausea, crazy ass fatigue and just general malaise have sent me for a loop this time. Today I spent the day coloring, watching cartoons, and making crafts with the kids while alternating laying on the floor feeling like death. Literally had to run to the loo or trash can a bunch of times because I thought I was going to vomit. I feel AWFUL.
So if I were working at a desk job outside my home? I don't know what I would do to fake it until I made it. I would normally say "yes, pregnancy is not a reason to be fragile". However, if these women feel like me or their doctors have them on any kind of restriction-- it can be limiting to function.
So we did interviews at my job this week and one of the people we interviewed went to middle school with Taylor Swift. He said her parents were total stage parents who pushed her from a very young age.
The Walking Deads last episode! Two of the strongest characters hooking up?! Definitely don't think was a good move! Michonne is too independent and kick as* to me for Rick!
My UO is that I hate when people say "you only need 300 extra calories a day". Um I need to eat like every 30 minutes or I feel like I'm gonna puke when I used to only eat 1-2 real meals a day. My body NEEDS it. So be it. I'm just trying to survive the 1st tri. Keep your judgments to yourself.
So very glad pitbulls exist or I would not have the sweetest most gentle, handsome and cuddly dog I have ever met who I trust with my kids more than I can trust most people.
The pics are really cute and it sucks that in real life I can't choose to only encounter the friendly, well-trained dogs like the ones posted and responsible owners! I guess my opinion is based on my personal experiences with dogs just like everyone elses's is based on personal experiences that were fortunately much more positive, and could allow for a popular opinion on the topic. Lol not everyone's expected to agree or get convinced, that's why it's just my UO of the week

Meh. You can dress it up however you want, but it was still a rather extreme opinion.

I would feel sorry for you if you ever met my lab/golden mix. He is 100 pounds and apparently very scary to people because his bark. But he is the nicest dog ever and wouldn't hurt a fly (I take that back, I've seen him eat a bird, but still).
I know others have said it but, a few bad example of a breed of dog do not represent the breed as a whole. Just like, radical muslims who are terrorists do not represent muslims as a whole who are generally peaceful.
It's not that your opinion was unpopular that caused this response. It is that you couldn't have simply said, "I really don't like pit bulls and I don't want to be around them." Instead you said a whole breed shouldn't exist because YOU personally have had a bad experience with them. I've had worse experiences with cocker spaniels than pit bulls but somehow I don't think they just shouldn't exist.
Ok well again, I think mostly the same points are being repeated and I really don't have any intent to argue with people on here. Unfortunately making a comparison to linking terrorism and Muslims just crosses a line for me....way beyond a seemingly lighthearted UO thread. I'm just going to move on to the other threads but I wish you all a Happy Friday
Note to self: do not post your real unpopular opinion, only post fluff. My dad is a pit bull activists and I love the dogs but isn't the point of the thread UNPOPULAR OPINION? This is so confusing. @UponAStar16 I think you win for this weeks UO! I disagree but isn't that the point? Lol, ya'll are funny.

It's not called "flame-free" unpopular opinion.
Sure, most people post fluffy stuff...but when you say something as inflammatory as "pitbulls shouldn't exist" I'm going to tell you how I really think.
@missteacherlady16 I think your comments belong in the First World problems board. I LOOOVVEEE the dogs and my dad rescues hundreds of them a year and saves them from kill shelters. But c'mon, seriously? Its the UNPOPULAR OPINION BOARD They shouldn't exist has too many flames for you? That is a very common unpopular opinion. Its not like she explained in detail a way they should all be killed and tortured. It was a simple opinion, definition of #firstworldproblems. I still think @UponAStar16 wins this week! I just personally think people shouldn't get but hurt over a VERY common unpopular opinion - and I know its common because my dad goes against these people on the front lines every week! Thousands if not millions of people think this way.
@octobermom16 The point isn't that it is a common unpopular opinion or that this thread is specifically for unpopular opinions. It says so in the OP that it isn't flame free so if some disagrees with your post (and sure @UponAStar16 had the most unpopular this week), then it makes sense that that poster will be called out.
i read the original post and know it's not flame free but it just seemed like the point of this thread is to HAVE an unpopular opinion. I get posting the cute dog posts to show your opinion is different and stuff but some people seemed genuinely upset that she had an unpopular opinion- I just found them funny. Just my unpopular opinion

I don't think you know what first world problems are.

Some people are genuinely upset because it's a very touchy subject. I know people who have had to put their dogs to sleep because of this idea that pitbulls are dangerous. It's a touchy, emotional subject and one that dogs loose their lives over because people are uneducated about the nature of the breed. You know that smaller dogs are actually more aggressive than pitbulls? But no one says that chihuahuas shouldn't exist because their naturally aggressive. And pitbulls are NOT naturally aggressive, but they can be taught to be so....same as any animal. Everyone who posts is opening themselves to criticism. It's just how the Internet works. And I can disagree with the OP and still get along with her just fine.
