Anyway, what I actually meant to post before getting derailed with that tangent was "earplugs."
Specifically, cheapie foam earplugs that are like $10 for 20 pairs at Walgreens or CVS. They work wonders. Just be sure to get the foam kind and not the more expensive but less effective silicone or plastic plugs.

I find I don't sleep well with earplugs because I worry about hearing my alarm. I should give it another try though.

I've only used the Sonic Boom clocks and the Krown manufacturing one (which is what I'm currently using) so those are the only ones I can attest to...but holy hell, do they work. I have to stick the signaler under the mattress instead of my pillow, because that's how strong it is. As long as it stays plugged into the source, trust me when I say that you can safely wear earplugs and not worry about missing anything.
They also make special signalers that connect with smart phones that are made for going underneath a pillow case (and are much less pricey), but I've never tried them before and can't attest to it. Though I think I might order one out of curiosity...it'd be great for travel if they work well. (Link: https://www.harriscomm.com/equipment/alarm-clocks/bed-shakers-for-smartphones.html )

I'm in a similar boat- DH, dog, and cat all sleep near me and snore like crazy! I found that putting earplugs in made me anxious so instead I put in an earbud and listen to a relaxing book on tape (usually something I've read before). Helps drown out the noise.
