@housewifehobbyist I wouldn't worry too much about what your hcg level is, what is more important is how it is increasing. There is an extremely wide range of what is considered a "normal" hcg by week. In fact if you google it (like I did) you will find that even everything you read online has different ranges for each week and that the very by thousands (for example one week can show 18-7000 being normal). Hopefully once your dr tells you your actual numbers (thats weird that he didn't) and you can see how it increased yourself you will feel better.
This is my first time posting in this thread. I got a BFP last Wednesday at 13dpo. We lost a baby girl in September at 31 weeks, so I'm excited/cautious to be expecting our rainbow.
I'm 4w4d
The next milestone I'm looking forward to is my first prenatal appointment.
I'm so excited to be pregnant again, but I'm also terrified of something going wrong. I have a feeling this will be a very emotional pregnancy.
My favorite thing about spring is everything coming back to life- the trees and flowers starting to bloom and the freshness in the air.
2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? Hearing back from the nurse today on when I'll have my first appointment/ultrasound; I expect it will be late next week or early the following week
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: I smell *everything*. Makes commuting on public transport a joy.
4. GTKY: What do you most enjoy about the spring season? Enjoying the outdoors more!
Anyone mind if I jump in too? I had an early loss in September 2014 followed by a year and a half of just nothing. I'm thrilled to be pregnant again but also terrified of losing this one too. I don't have it in me to go through that for another 18 months. Reading through everyone's posts has helped- I don't feel like I'm crazy and I don't feel so alone!
1. How far along are you? 4w4d
2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? another round of betas on Friday, this time to help establish when I'm far enough along for an u/s.
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: I'm trying to be calm and enjoy the moment. Anxiety will get me no where but it is easier said than done!
4. GTKY: What do you most enjoy about the spring season? Being outside! I love farmers markets and there are several really beautiful parks nearby. Unfortunately my allergies are brutal but it is worth it for the sunshine!
2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? The end of the first trimester? haha But really first apt/us March 16
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: I'm tired of being tired all the time
4. GTKY: What do you most enjoy about the spring season? I'm in the southern hemisphere so right now we're in hot season (or summer) moving in rain season (or fall?) but it never really gets "cold" here so I prefer to enjoy temps from 80-90 F all the time. After a whole 18 yrs in New England two winters in the upper midwest, I do NOT miss snow.
Thank you so much for all of your positive vibes yesterday ladies! My OB just called and said my beta draw yesterday was 14,252 and she's very happy with that number for 5+1. She also gave me a requisition for an early US for my peace of mind. I'm going to make the appt for sometime next week so I can hopefully hear peanuts heartbeat. I'm so grateful for all of your kind words, I don't know what I would do without this board!

Hi! I'm new! Been lurking and introduced myself earlier today. Looking forward to hopefully staying and getting to know all of you all:)
1. How far along are you? 4 weeks, 4 days
2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? making it through first trimester. I lost my baby in May after seeing a strong heartbeat at 7 weeks so I won't begin to relax until 12-13 weeks
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: I feeling really positive. I've had great numbers so far and my dr thinks my last lost was a fluke and doesn't think it will repeat.
4. GTKY: What do you most enjoy about the spring season? Being outside with my boys. I have a 3 and 5 year old and we love being in our yard.
More good(ish) news! I got my number back from my doctor. Hcg was 492 Thursday and 1386 Monday, progesterone is hovering around 11.57, was 12.9 Thursday. So I am probably closer to 4 +4 than 5 +6 but still increasing so I'll hold that hope.
@MRSCORKER I'm switching doctors because I need to find an OB in New Jersey (not traveling to Manhattan while in labor!) so hopefully I can find one I like this weekend and get another check up with beta draws soon. He also told me I can take vitamin C and B6 daily if I wanted to try something that would naturally help my progesterone levels.
2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? Hoping for a heartbeat at my ultrasound on Thursday. I decided on DH missing this first appt so he can definitely get out of work to be there with me for the first trimester screening that was awful last time, so I'm hoping I can brave it on my own and get good news at this one
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: I hate that ultrasounds can seem dreadful. And I hate that dreading an ultrasound in itself seems like bad luck. And I hate that I sound only full of negativity but I know it's just my anxiety right now.
4. GTKY: What do you most enjoy about the spring season? Things turning green, winter dirt washing away, and more sunlight
Positive thoughts, FX and good vibes to everyone for another week!!!
1. How far along are you? 8+1
2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? We have our 8 week ultrasound Friday. Cannot wait for some reassurance.
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: I started progesterone suppositories last week and had VERY LIGHT bleeding? It was right after it was inserted so it's probably cervical irritation. I've heard this happens to SO MANY people. Still, freaks me out a bit. I'm trying to stay positive, but I can't shake the feeling that something isn't right.
4. GTKY: What do you most enjoy about the spring season? RAIN! Hopefully... Come on, El Nino, bring on that rain you promised! After the rain is when the paperwhites pop up... my favorite scent.
@Julia70286 - I really bet that it's from the progesterone suppositories. I am taking mine orally, but I've heard that it can cause spotting if taken vaginally.
*Loss & bfp mentioned*
me 28 (Lean PCOS, hypothyroid) dh 33 TTC #1 since early 2011 May 2011- natural pregnancy (metformin only); m/c @ 9 weeks + D&C July 2011- lap to remove dermoid cyst August 2012-current- 9 rounds of Clomid, 1 cycle of Femara, several cycles of soy isos, 1 IUI, O'd every cycle, BFN August 2014- lap to remove uterine septum. Everything else looking good. Moving onto IVF Feb/March 2016 Just kidding. Natural bfp 1/30/16. 1st beta 2/1 = 110. 2nd beta 2/3 = 332.
First ultrasound 2/19 - one baby with a heart rate of 127! EDD 10/11/2016
Ultrasound 7w4d done... one step closer to breathing easy once I hit my mmc point but either way Great Sonogram Day!!! Great heart rate of 141bpm and measuring pretty much dead on!
Sorry I haven't interacted with you ladies more. It's hard cause I only use my phone to get on The Bump.
Very nervous right now. Have a second ultrasound at 9am and the dread is kicking in. I'm 7w 3d. Last pregnancy I got to 9w but baby always measured small and never got bigger than 6w 3d. That's how big this baby measured last Wednesday, so I'm praying baby is still on track and I'll get good news tomorrow. I've been spotting off and on for about a week and a half, which I know is normal bu it's still nerve wracking.
Anyway, just some midnight ramblings because I can't sleep....
@MRSCORKER@UponAStar16@anna.oskar Thank you ladies! It was a LONG morning (we had to drive thru a snowstorm to get to the doctors) but it was worth it! Baby measured 7 weeks and 2 days with a heart rate of 157! The ultrasound technician was the same one who was there when my doctor told me I had lost the baby 3 months ago, so we both started crying when we saw how big the baby was!

I take both of those also, along with B12 and extra folic acid. Good luck!

It really is fantastic seeing all this good news on this thread. Happy creepy internet hugs to all of you! I'm having a really rough PGAL day -- I'm stressing over whether this is a viable pregnancy, I'm stressing about how the next nine months are going to go even if it is a viable pregnancy, and each day that's passing feels like an eternity. Getting to 6 weeks or an 8 week ultrasound feels like it's going to take forever, let alone getting to 12 weeks (can't even think about full term at this point). It helps to see all of you get good news and makes me hopeful that I can get good news too in due time.

@simcal18I totally know what you mean! Each day feels like it passes so slowly. I am so anxious for the first ultrasound but also slightly scared because I'm so used to getting bad news on this topic. Hang in there!
I'm so happy for everyone's good news! Keep it coming!
