@atcwag I think maybe as long as you're only starting it at 3DPO/after O, you'll be fine on the CM front. May even be fine just avoiding it in the FW too.
@BerkeBaby that's so great that they found your car. I've had mine stolen or broken into a ton. It's a terrible feeling. I'm so sorry you're having to go through it.
@delujm0 FX you don't catch strep! Ugh, the worst!
R/R/CS: today we start with the post-AF practice sex! But..... (TMI WARNING) I have gross hot tub rash from our romantic valentine's day weekend escape to the mountains. DH is unphased by it. But it's so hard for me to feel sexy when I have what looks like razor burn all over my body! Total yuck.
GTKY: I'd love to learn how to sail! I think that would be a really cool skill!

R/R/CS: it is my own fault for not temping last cycle, that I have no idea if I even O'd with the 19 day cycle. It's probably a safe bet not. But this month, dang it, I will know for sure!
GTKY: Is there something you would like to learn how to do/try for the first time? I would like to learn to make lobster bisque. I can cook a lot of random things but I have never tried to make lobster bisque!
Late question: For those who check CP, if it feels like that sucker retracted up to your rib cage, do you leave texture & opening blank or just assume soft & open?
@JediAlly85 I feel like we are in the same boat, this weekend I told myself that I am going to put all my focus into working out so I can stop the worrying and self pity and take out my frustration lol

@cjt121413 - I hear you on the really weird dreams last night. Mine were batshit crazy!
@sarah0985 - welcome back! The crazies have been intense and constant enough that I’m beginning to think we’re being actively trolled… Anyway, FX for more high temps to confirm O!
@DiFazette - That’s cool for you if you can HIO when sick. It doesn’t work for everyone though. For instance, if your SO experiences performance anxiety and doesn’t want to have sex because he’s sick. Saying, “no, we have to have sex, I’m about to O” is sure not to work anyway.
@nwegman7878 - I’ve heard on hear of LPs shifting either way. FX for confirmed O soon!
@AL_TwinCities - sorry that you didn’t sleep well last night (or apparently ever on Sunday?)
@JediAlly85 - Good for you getting back to working out!
@SongbirdintheCity - yay for feeling optimistic! I hope it’s a very good day!
@kristah2 - Sorry that you’re having a long cycle, and it is frustrating. *hugs*
@beary67 - FX that you get that high temp to confirm O tomorrow!
@Zoey1019 - Yay for not needing antibiotics! Hope you’re 100% soon.
@kellybean1988 - sorry that you’re cranky and feeling like there’s so much time ahead of you in the cycle. I don’t think I understand what you said about your BCP at the end there, but I’m glad you’re loving it?
@QueenDaenersT - Sorry that you had CD1 at all, and also that it was emotionally difficult. *hugs* Sorry, I don’t have any extending LP information for you.
@kfair001 - How fun! Hope the work day passes quickly so you can look at it again!
@TrulyBlessed22 - I’ve had to keep waking up early, even though I have no cause to anymore, specifically so that I can test. I wake up at 5:30 because if I try to set a testing time later than that, I wake up by then half the time anyway. Granted, I’m not a good sleeper, so I have other sleeping/temping questions anyway, but that helps. Can you fall back asleep easily? If so, maybe try setting an alarm for 4am, temping, and going back to sleep? FX for a high temp to confirm O, and that you really did O when you think you did.
@furbabymom2007 - my phone eventually learned to accept that section. Sorry that you’re feeling pressured to continue using OPKs when you’d prefer not to. FX for good test results in the coming days/weeks.
@atcwag - Hooray for AF being gone! FX that the performance anxiety is improved. Oh goodness, only 20 oz of water? I can’t even imagine that.
@mokay19 - Think of it this way— if you drank that much, the temp probably would have been off anyway, and that would have bugged you too.
@LadyMillil - Sorry that you’re having Clomid side effects. *hugs*
@MissAmeliaPond - I use Pre-Seed and I kind of hate it too, but I haven’t seen anything with better reviews, so I stick to it, and try to only use it when I absolutely need it.
@BerkeBaby - Nice, glad you went to work after all! And yay for your car being found!!!! *hugs* for the six month slump, and thanks of the FX!
@SweetiePateetie - How does one even get a rash from a hot tub? I’m sorry you have full body razor burn though. That sounds awful.
I disappeared for a few days because I was feeling a little down & BSC because everyone I know is either currently pregnant or doesn't want children.

WAYDTGKU: PNV, charting, sex, general healthy things. RRL tea (new this cycle)
R/R/CS: My DH's schedule sucks this FW. I haven't had a temp shift yet, but FF suggests it shall be tomorrow and that's likely. Our next chance to BD is tomorrow night - but he will have to wake me up for it because he won't be home until after I go to bed. I know O day isn't the optimum day, anyway, but since we won't get in -1 this time, we should try O, right?
Otherwise, our timing really isn't great. -5 and -2, if I do O tomorrow. Maybe it won't happen til Wednesday and I'll get -3, -1, O. I'm over thinking this.
In other news, I'm enjoying my RRL "regimen" very much.
GTKY: Honestly, I'm not sure... DH is pretty much the only person I can spend unlimited amounts of time with. I'm a nurse and he's a paramedic/fireman, so we would be covered on emergency medical help for each other. Maybe someone who's really good at survival outdoors?
@MrsDho11 ....no worries! I went off BCP in late December. When I was taking them, each month that I took the "placebo" white pills I would get my period, and I would have my period for every single darn day of those pills (7 of them!) It was always a heavy and painful period. Now that I've been off BCP and I don't have to worry about any placebo pills vs. regular pills, my period has been only 3 days long, light, and pain free. I am so happy about this!
TTC January 2016 BFP May 17, 2016 DS born January 31st, 2017: Rory "Mac" MacKinnon
@kellybean1989 - ah, okay. The placebo pills don't have hormones in them, so they probably weren't actually at fault making your period longer. It was probably just the way your body reacted to whatever dose of hormones you were taking on the other 21 days, and now you're evening out to your "natural" hormonal rhythm. Cool for you that it's shorter periods though! I am also experiencing shorter/lighter periods, though for me it's post copper IUD. Either way woohoo!

@adele85 good luck with your healthy eating and exercise! It was tough getting back in it, but i did my morning workout and I ate healthy for breakfast and lunch. So far so good. It at least is something else to focus on sometimes it seem all I think about day and night every day is TTC.
@JediAlly85 Yes that is why I have to refocus because I don't think it is healthy for me to be the only thing I think about 24/7, it becomes obsessive and I need something else to think about
If I might make a suggestion to the ladies who'd like to start crocheting, has anyone considered making wash cloths? A very simple square, one stitch, and it will go quickly!
To start all you need to know is: Starting chain One stitch (I recommend half double crochet over single crochet. It is easier IMHO) How to turn to start new rows How to finish off
These are all things you should be able to find easy picture tutorials for online.
Then you can build up to harder, more interesting stuff.
@MrsDho11I know, super gross, right? Hot tub rash (aka hot tub folliculitis) is caused by infection with a germ found in poorly maintained hot tubs. Women (or men) are especially susceptible in areas where they shave (micro-cuts and exposed hair follicles). We were staying at a private cabin through a mountain lodging company. It wasn't until the last day that the water started to appear murky and questionable. We were there with a few other couples and all of the women have rashes around their pelvis and/or their armpits! Needless to say, a strongly worded letter was submitted to the property management company!

WAYDTGKTFU: Regular HIO, PNV
R/R/CS: It was at this point last cycle that my DH was feeling some regrets TTC and wanted to stop HIO during the second half of my fertile week. No signs of him feeling that way now, but I have this small knot of worry in my chest that I don't think will go away until this FW is over.
GTKY: Is there something you would like to learn how to do/try for the first time? I'm pretty impulsive so any time I want to try something new I just do it. It's sticking with it that's my problem I picked up the violin a number of years ago (no natural music ability here!) but I would like to get back into playing it regularly. It's hard and frustrating, but it won't get easier if I don't play.
For those of you wanting to learn how to knit/crochet, your local yarn shop likely offers lessons. That's what I did to learn and it was pretty fun! Not cheap though.

To add to what @RatParadesaid, if anyone wants any YouTube tutorials, I know of a few I can PM you. If you can't afford to pay for lessons. I'm just worried about posting anything on here because the last time I posted news articles to something, I got a warning from BGs. It is what it is.
I learned the basics on crocheting from my great grandma, and then filled in the rest with YouTube videos recently. I need really good directions, or I get lost easily. These videos are the only reason I can crochet for fun now.
WAYDTGKTFU: waiting for FW *possible TMI* we had AF left sex yesterday and it was actually enjoyable. Sex lately has been painful even with lube so it was nice to actually enjoy it for once.
R/R/CS: I had the day off and got a massage. It was well overdue. Then I surprised my parents with a visit. I love making there day:)
GTKY: Is there something you would like to learn how to do/try for the first time? Can I say make a baby? LOL Ok well then I'll say sew. I can patch things but it doesn't look very good. It would be useful to use a sewing machine. I learned in 7th grade but I lost the knowledge.

Wow!!! Totally worthless, my doctors office called me back saying there's nothing I could do to lengthen my LP and to "take prenatal vitamins"... I felt like I was talking to a wall. I'm going to see what levels of everything my prenatal has and address vitamin b6 and c individually I know that taking too much could be detrimental so I want to be sure of what I'm getting first. I will also look into that tea!
QueenDaenerysT My doctor gave me a prescription pre-natal that covers the B6. It's called Vitapearl. Even if your insurance doesn't cover it, if you order directly from the company its $25 a month. Here's the specs if you're interested. .
R/R/CS: Slinking back over here because FF took away my CH after my lowest temp of the entire cycle today. I didn't really believe the CH I had gotten - the supposed post-O temps were too low. So no love lost there. I think I am having another patch of fertile CM, so maybe I'm not out yet this cycle? Who f'ing knows with my wacky-ass body.
GTKY: Is there something you would like to learn how to do/try for the first time? I would like to drive a motorcycle.
R/R/CS: Rave: Work yesterday was great. Really good distraction, and my coworkers were awesome. Rant: I haven't been sleeping well for the past month, and since I started temping again a couple weeks ago I'm having a really hard time taking it at the same time every day. I have an alarm set for 5 am every day because that's when I get up on the days I work, but half the time I wake up around 3 or 4 am for no reason, so I have lots of stupid open circles on my chart. Other rant: It looked like I was going to O yesterday or the day before but it dropped a little yesterday and I didn't have much of a temp rise today. I guess I'll have to wait for my body to gear up and try to O again. I hate that it takes a day at a time to build a chart and see what's going to happen next.
GTKY: I wish I knew about construction and home improvement stuff so I could just fix our house up myself and not have to pay people to do it.
@cjt121413 Ooh, learning to speak Spanish fluently would be really helpful
@DiFazette I hear you on the sick thing. A couple days ago I woke up DH at 4pm (he works nights) for baby-making sex (our schedules are so opposite we have to fit it in at random times) and before we could start anything he started coughing (we both have colds) and his nose started bleeding so he had to go to the bathroom and make it stop. Once it finally stopped he came back in the bedroom to get dressed and eat breakfast and I told him, "Nope. This is happening." The mood was gone and neither one of us really felt like it, but we somehow persevered. It was some of the most awkward sex we've had, but I guess eggs and sperm don't care whether or not it's awkward...
@kristah2 Sorry for the probably anovulatory cycle
@beary67 I almost bought some bagpipes once because I really wanted to learn how to play. Then I realized how awful it probably sounds when you're first starting out so I didn't
@teamginger13 FX your IUI is timed right and goes well!
@Marley629 I never thought about a possible connection between AF length and early ovulation. The one time I O'd previously, AF was only 2 days long and I O'd on CD 11. Maybe you're on to something.
@becbec28 Hormones. Seriously. If having a MC wasn't enough, afterwards we have to have weird cycles and wonky hormonal stuff too? Not fair.
@mokay19 Thanks for the info about sex clearing sinuses! I'll have to inform my DH of this
@GhanimaAtreides I have always struggled with figuring out what is EWCM and what is...other stuff. I've never been able to tell one way or the other using the float/sink thing. If we just had sex it's pretty obvious but if its later in the day or the next morning or something I just count it all as EWCM just in case. TMI, but I read somewhere that semen smells and EWCM doesn't. I've never noticed a smell either way. In summary, I have no idea and would love to hear about it if you find out a reliable method of differentiation. ***Question: How do you like your saliva microscope? I was thinking of getting one since my CM is so unreliable. Also, I check CP and I find it to be useless. It never seems to line up with where I am in my cycle and I don't think it helps me at all, yet i continue to check just to have something else to be annoyed and confused by. That didn't answer your question at all. Sorry.
@kellybean1988 I've been drinking 2-3 cups of raspberry leaf tea a day to help get my body back on track. Do you happen to know if it's ok to continue drinking it into the LP or is it one of those things you stop after O? It's so yummy with honey and a tiny bit of milk.
@QueenDaenerysT All my online research said B6 to help lengthen LPs. Be careful with Vitamin C! I took it once when I thought I was getting sick and started getting nose bleeds... My DH also bought me a different B Complex recently and I realized that was making me nauseous every day so I've had to toss that too. Just be on the look out for weird side effects when starting new supplements! FX they work for your LP!
WAYDTGKTFU: Normal things (no OPKs...I have a clearblue fertility monitor, but I rarely use it since I never get a "peak" reading. It goes to "high" (flashing smiley face) and then just stays there..it just drives me bonkers. The sticks are so expensive, too. I hate that I spent so much money on it.)
R/R/CS: I have a cyst on my left ovary, and it's killing me! It hurts so bad! I am seriously a baby! Also... After getting my highest temp yesterday, today I got my lowest temp. Now, FF says my fluctuations seems to be on the high side..ugh. I didn't sleep well the past few nights so maybe that has something to do with it?
GTKY: Is there something you would like to learn how to do/try for the first time? I'd like to learn how to garden and not kill the plants I've spent a bunch of money on! I have a serious brown thumb.
@MrsDho11 it was my OB's office but the nurse who called. I'm sure if I spoke directly to my doctor I wouldn't have had such a terrible phone call. The girl literally after telling me to take PNVs said "if it was a year of trying we could discuss IVF but it's too early" ... Like WOW that came out of left field and actually we wouldn't be discussing that after a year, I would be going to an RE and getting tests done NOT discussing that with you!!!. Oh lord......
@kellybean1988 do you only drink the tea after O? Or your whole cycle? I'm giving up coffee before O this cycle just because, why not I guess lol. So something hot would be great!
@MissAmeliaPond - thanks! I'm sitting here like, "last time they collected my blood at 9am, had more tests to run, and still got all the results back to me by 4pm. This time they collected my blood at 7am and only have the one test to run... it's already 3pm. I'm sure they're just more busy today..."
Me: 30 DH: 32 ~~ TTC #1: Sep 2015 ~~ BFP: Mar 2016 ~~ Daughter: Nov 2016 TTC #2: April 2018 ~~ BFP: May 2018 ~~ EDD: January 2019
@zrain I like it ok enough. It gives you a bigger window than urine OPKs do. The trick is to kind of make a gleeking motion with your tongue to get the saliva to well up underneath and let it drip directly onto the microscope. (Transferring with my finger gave me false negatives because the stretchy stuff would rather stick to my finger than go on the glass... I always forget this if it's been awhile since TTCing.) It dries over the next 30 minutes or so, then you can look at it with the green light to see the ferning. The container looks just like lipstick, you test first thing in the morning. So if you don't mind HIO over a slightly longer FW, it's a good fit. I got it 7 years ago because I remember reading a study then stating that rhesus monkeys needed 3 days of sustained high estrogen levels to trigger the LH surge and ovulate, so I figured it would give me a bigger heads up, and it definitely let me know if ovulation was going to be delayed. Now I need a subscription to Experimental Biology & Medicine to read it But here's the link: https://www.ebmonline.org/cgi/content/full/227/7/455
R/R/CS: Finally Got my Positive OPK AND my EWCM so hopefully my temps line up in the next day or so and I'm about to O!!! Starting to feel slightly less stressed about this cycle!
GTKY: Is there something you would like to learn how to do/try for the first time? I have always wanted to learn to crochet! I can knit like a champ, but crocheting baffles me.
R/R/CS: Feeling in a bit of a funk the emotions around CD 2 is not helping, it really surprises me how much people do not understand how stressful this process is and how judgemental people can be when trying to talk about it
@QueenDaenerysT I feel you on being really upset I had a really though time when AF showed up yesterday
@sweetiepateetie I do not even know what I would do about getting something from a hot tub I would be very unhappy, I got something similar from a pond once it was gross

I really want to try fostering dogs, I am not sure I can do that now with the size of my house but I would love to some day, I also want to buy one of those adult coloring books to see if it helps with some of my stress
Good news! Results of my CD3 test from Saturday came back all in normal range. (Even though I disagree with the doc on what CD3 is...).
Month/Cycle: 12

WAYDTGKTFU: Scheduling tests... Blah. Waiting for AF to GYFO.
R/R/CS: Next test will be CD21 blood test. Since I disagree on what CD1 was (they said first day of any spotting, which lasted 2 days, I say first day of true bleeding...), we will disagree on what cd21 is. But I'm going by their count for the tests. I'm just afraid it will be before ovulation because my O date is usually CD 19-20, which will be right when the test is. But we will see. For today, I'm just happy about my CD3 results!!

@thefarmerswife0411 - Haha! I love that “peace the f out”.
@virginiaham - that sounds like a smart mantra.
@20T - so sorry for CD1. *hugs*
@WinchesterGirl - *hugs*
@adele85 - GL with the diet/healthier eating.

To start all you need to know is:
Starting chain
One stitch (I recommend half double crochet over single crochet. It is easier IMHO)
How to turn to start new rows
How to finish off
These are all things you should be able to find easy picture tutorials for online.
Then you can build up to harder, more interesting stuff.

It's sticking with it that's my problem
For those of you wanting to learn how to knit/crochet, your local yarn shop likely offers lessons. That's what I did to learn and it was pretty fun! Not cheap though.

@2Dash ; @20T ; @WinchesterGirl Sorry for CD1
@SweetiePateetie Oh no! Hot tub rash sounds awful. I'm sorry
@khbear Trying to hit O just in case would be good, but you would probably be fine with -5 and -2 if it doesn't work out.
@dogmomwantinghuman Yay for enjoying sex! And also for massage. I'm jealous.
@lcsrva Sorry you're back here and your body is being confusing *hugs*

@sarah0985 hi! glad to have you back!
@AL_TwinCities a LOOM?!
@MrsDho11 Hugs for beginning month 6. I just started month 6 on 2/4, and it was a hard pill to swallow. FX for your blood tests!
@GhanimaAtreides I would just go for soft/open! lol
@lcrsva sorry FF took away your CHs.
CD: 18

WAYDTGKTFU: The usual things.

WAYDTGKTFU: PNV, BD EOD to ED, OPKs, BBT, CM
R/R/CS: Feeling in a bit of a funk the emotions around CD 2 is not helping, it really surprises me how much people do not understand how stressful this process is and how judgemental people can be when trying to talk about it
@QueenDaenerysT I feel you on being really upset I had a really though time when AF showed up yesterday
@virginiaham I like that mantra
@sweetiepateetie I do not even know what I would do about getting something from a hot tub I would be very unhappy, I got something similar from a pond once it was gross
GTKY: Is there something you would like to learn how to do/try for the first time?
I really want to try fostering dogs, I am not sure I can do that now with the size of my house but I would love to some day, I also want to buy one of those adult coloring books to see if it helps with some of my stress
Month/Cycle: 12
CD: 3
WAYDTGKTFU: Scheduling tests... Blah. Waiting for AF to GYFO.
R/R/CS: Next test will be CD21 blood test. Since I disagree on what CD1 was (they said first day of any spotting, which lasted 2 days, I say first day of true bleeding...), we will disagree on what cd21 is. But I'm going by their count for the tests. I'm just afraid it will be before ovulation because my O date is usually CD 19-20, which will be right when the test is. But we will see. For today, I'm just happy about my CD3 results!!
GTKY: Is there something you would like to learn how to do/try for the first time?
I would love to take a photography class.

WAYDTGKTFU: Watery CM--It has begun. Bow Chicka Wow Wow! Of course don't expect to O until next weekend--I get an obnoxious number of days of Watery and EW CM so its not really a reliable predictor without the other things I'm doing, namely temping and opks.
R/R/CS: No rants or raves, just bonus points to anyone who knows what song this meme is referring to. :-) My husband and I periodically play it right after having sex, lol. Like, still naked, watching Lonely Island.
GTKY: Is there something you would like to learn how to do/try for the first time? I've never been skiing, but I bet it would be fun.
