@dragonfly321 eh, not really crazy exactly. More I kinda roll my eyes at the ignorance and think, "go ahead! Have fun with that! You'll learn."
It's not like I knew beforehand how terrible they were, but that being said I do think it's more than a little ridiculous to willing (blindly) want a very invasive and risky procedure, without researching what it really entails, just for funsies or "convenience." Cause I didn't find being more or less tortured very convenient. Not a pleasant experience.
I'm being induced tonight (for medical reasons) and tbh you're scaring the living light out of me! I know every situation and person is different, but yikes! Really, YIKES!

Thank you! Good luck to you too!!! Yay for meeting our little ones soon! :):)
  • @J1D Thanks! I shouldn't have read it! Haha. So far the worst parts have been the iv in my hand (OUCH!) and the rough midwife checking and then placing cervidil(sp?). Contractions are ramping up and pitocin starts in about 45 minutes, so I'm sure those will be distant memories soon. I told H that this baby may be an only child. Haha.
Well, I'll tell you what: I'm 4 months postpartum and have been thinking maybe it wouldn't be so bad the second time around and have been considering on and off since 2 months pp having another kiddo soon. So, again, cliche, but the bad memories fade real fast when your baby smiles :) (In fairness though I consider getting my tubes tied and my hubby snipped everytime the baby has a 3am crying jag and then pukes on me, lol. I think one has to give it a few years before making any permanent descions. I have a 10 year IUD so my baby shop is closed until I'm good and ready. So no oops babies but easy peasy if we decide to try again.)
  • @Monkeybutt80 Thanks! Everything went well, super painful, but baby us out and healthy! I'll post a birthstory on Feb16 soon! :)

@J1D I think it's going to take a while for these memories to fade. They'll work as good birthcontrol for a couple years! Haha
Ha!!! No joke, at the hospital they asked what I was going to use for birth control, and I totally seriously said, "trauma." Everyone laughed but me! Lol!

Congrats on getting your baby out! Rest up if you can! It's totally fine to send baby to the nursery so you can catch a few z's. If you have no complications, find out if they can put a Do Not Disturb sign on your door so you can get a few hours of sleep without people coming in and out every 15 minutes.
  • I didn't go into labor until 42 weeks for my first. People wanting to get induced for comfort and convenience make my head hurt.
