@PSUBecky23- My dog can be needier than my 1 year old. She also likes to chew baby items when she wants extra attention (she gets into the mindset of any attention is attention, good or bad). Within the first few months of my son being born she ate the tip off of 5 pacifier nipples.. then would barf them up the next day. It was a joy. Now she prefers tissues, baby socks, wooden toys that we spend too much money on for a dog to chew up (Melissa and Doug tool set, blocks, etc).
She's a real PITA. I love her, but there are definitely times that I hate her.. very little in between. I just realized tomorrow is her birthday when i looked at the calendar to see how old she is.. woops, 4 years old tomorrow - can't she lose the puppy behavior??
My coworker whistles all the time and it drive me INSANE. It was really bad yesterday, so I brought a super crunchy apple to work today and emphasized every crunch. I ate that apple like a freaking CAMEL and I know she had to hear every last bite. HA!
@Tippy05 glad you're ok!! And that's awesome you get 2 new car seats
My FFFC is I look forward to the shower every morning because of our new removable shower head. It's the most action I've gotten in awhile (my fault, not DHs). We run on opposite schedules, so when I'm ready for it in the morning, he's passed out and vice versa at night. In the meantime, I'll see YOU tomorrow, Delta
Good to hear you're okay @Tippy05 and that you are going to get checked out. I would have done he same thing.
I'm totally expecting flame for my FFFC, so here it goes... We are re-homing our cat today. I have struggled with this for a while, but honestly think it's the best thing for her. A little back story: we have our house separated by a baby gate because the cat and our two dogs don't get along. Since she is never in the front part of the house she only gets affection when we go back there or right before bed. I think she started to resent us because of this and started peeing on clothing if it was left on the floor. Long story short one of DH's coworkers agreed to take her and we are taking her over there tonight. I already told DH that I will cry, but know she will get the love she needs.
Etid is because I forgot to add some words
No flames here. We may be in the same boat. We got 2 kittens (brothers) from the shelter about 6 years ago, and they're our fur babies for sure, but one has gotten increasingly agitated in the last 6 months or so, always beating the other one up who is a giant cuddle bug and softie. We took the aggressive cat to the vet to see if maybe he had a UTI or something but he's perfectly healthy, just an a**hole apparently. But at Christmas our niece was over and she was just walking by him and he reached out and scratched her on the cheek. So we're thinking we might have to rehome him . It's going to suck because our cats have been together since birth, and the gentle cat will meow and cry if he can't find his brother. So it's going to break my heart if we have to give one of them up. I feel your pain, trust me.
I've had the entire week off and had all these plans to do fun things with my 19 month old...instead we layed on the couch and watched TV because I'm so exhausted and nauseas all the time...I feel like a failing mother...I know every episode of Calliou word for word...
@blondie080300 I am guilty of the same. About a month ago I bought $200+ worth of clearanced items from Motherhood Maternity online and have yet to try any of it on bc I don't want to jinx myself. I need to look at the last possible date for returns. Also, I will be needing to wear much of it right now (esp the pants) so I better start opening bags.
I spent well over $250 on Zulilly the past few weeks. It takes so long to ship and I keep logging back in to check shipping updates and buy more stuff! The whole "free shipping till midnight!" after I buy one thing gets me every time...
So we have this red eared slider turtle DH took ownership of about 4 years ago. DH has now been gone since Sunday on a business trip and on Sunday night the motor in the aquarium filter blew. The smell of the turtle tank clean was bad enough but the smell of the unfiltered water is very very bad. I haven't even made a slight effort to change the water for fear of becoming violently ill. DH is coming home tonight and will be greeted by a 50 gallon tank full of filth. Also, I feel awful for the turtle for having to live in that nastiness all week.
@izzetoot I feel like my Zulily game has really been in shopaholic mode since they started reward petal points! Give me all the Zulily bucks! Lately I've gotten leggings, tunics, flows dresses and a belly balm. No buyer's remorse here!
My confession- I have been so exhausted and unable to focus that sometimes I sit at work and just stare off into space for a long time... Like, the last two whole weeks almost.
I am putting LO down for the night and contemplating how long I can get away with staying in here and bumping because I don't feel like being social in the living room with my MIL and DH. I'll start feeling guilty soon and go out, but I do love using LO as an opportunity for some alone time!
@SarahMConnors I totally did that at dinner tonight! I met some girlfriends at 7pm (which is around when I want to pass out) and by 8:30 I found myself completely tuning them out and just staring off. I finally had to get up at 9:30 and go home. I felt bad but I could barely see straight. So tired and spacey! And no, they don't know I'm pregnant yet and I used the Lent excuse for not drinking! @MojieJo if it makes you feel any better, I've never even looked at Zulily. I am weird about buying clothes without trying them on though. Then to have to deal with trying to return it...blah.

@MojieJo I feel like Zulily is kind of like a thrift store in that you really have to dig to get to the good finds. Right now they have maternity clothes split up by trimester so that might be worth looking through.
@izzetoot It's their rewards program but I'm not sure if it's in beta or something, it just started within the last couple of months. Some items earn petal points and when you fill up 5 petals in a flower you get $5 off your next purchase. If you order a lot I'd just email customer service and ask if you are enrolled. I'm a sucker for rewards programs (looks down in shame.)
I've been so exhausted and have been putting off my homework for one class I enrolled in before we got pregnant. I'm going to fail if I don't get back on track (it's self paced) but every time I crack open the book I want to sleep.
@blondie080300 You aren't alone regarding Zulilly. I've only been on there twice and left overwhelmed both times. I also don't like ordering clothes without trying them on or seeing them in person. A picture can be completely different than the real thing. Even for DD, I've rarely ordered clothes online for her.
Oh my word, @CoffeeBeanFiend91 , I had a real panic attack after watching the Joffrey scene. My mom was very sick at that time and something about it triggered me. I am very sensitive so I struggle with watching anything torturous or violent. I can't handle watching someone die a slow horrible violent death. Your kid your choice, I'm not judging, but I believe my daughter is hypersensitive to things like me so I wouldn't let her watch that with us. I was also pregnant when I watched the red wedding so the beginning of that scene made me physically ill.
Our dog sleeps in our bed, but if LO comes in, she gets escorted back to her own bed.
Our dog also sleeps in our bed. If DD comes in, he still remains in the bed. But at the foot of the bed instead of pressed between DH and I. That's his compromise, I guess.
@AmMcc12 honestly sometimes it's better to rehome if it means a better life for the pet. Especially when you have someone that you know that will give them a loving home, it's probably better in the long run! I know it'll be hard for you and I don't think that deserves flaming at all.
Thanks ladies! I think I was feeling more guilty than anything (Friday Guilty Confessions?) We rehomed her last night and the home is really nice and huge with a lot of toys for her to play with, so I feel better about it.
@blondie080300 isn't the Lent excuse great? I wish I could use it myself- my family knows me too well though. I've got a bunch of family coming next weekend for my exhibit opening, so the outing afterwards to the local pub will be tricky. Luckily I know a few bartenders at local places, so if we stick to any of those places I can just let them know that I'll be ordering one or two drinks but to hold the booze without me saying so.
