Borrowed some maternity clothes from a friend already just to see what she had so I didn't buy duplicates. And when I tried on the jeans I just thought (even though my regular pants fit fine) WHY wear pants with a button when I don't have to?!
I totally lost it in the hubs for trying to eat my fries without asking the other night. I came crawling home at 10pm from work with a vanilla milkshake and fries, which was the first food to not make me want to dry heave in 3 days. After drinking 1/4 of my shake he reached down and took a HANDFUL of my fries without asking. I proceeded to yell, slap his hand, take them back and stare him down while eating every last one. And I don't feel bad about it at all.

The only emotion I felt at my ultrasound yesterday was mild relief that the peanut was in the right spot. No wave of happiness, no sudden attachment to my baby, nothing. I'm usually an emotional person! Then I left feeling really guilty.
Although DH's excitement over the pictures when I showed him that evening made me cry so maybe I have some emotion in me after all!
@smmatt08same thing happened to me with my ultrasound yesterday too! I was so nervous that something was wrong, because of the spotting, that I only felt relief when I saw the little heart flickering away. DH was there with me and I could see him smiling but he said I looked so stiff and had a blank look on my face. Afterwards I was completely enthralled and couldn't stop talking about it but during I was so not emotional, I thought I would of cried but I didn't. Know you're not alone there!

Since I gave up Facebook for Lent (even though I'm not religious at all..) I've been Bumping like crazy. I seek out drama, and a couple days ago I got lost in the whole @Jessntim craziness from years ago. Also, I just learned from lurking on the TTGP FFFC thread that you can click on the BumpAdmin's name and find more drama more easily.
I got so mad at DH last night because I got home from work and he didn't have any food ready for me. In my defense, he kept asking me what I wanted and when I finally told him, I just assumed that meant he would make it. Apparently not.
My cousin is getting married today to a guy to whom she had to give an ultimatum. "Marry me or I'll leave." They have a 1 year old together and she can't fathom why he hasn't asked her to marry him. He finally conceded and they're going to court today to get married. He really seems to have zero interest in marrying her and even said something like, "Well now I'll have her health insurance at least." When she told me, I pretended to be happy for her because I know that it'll backfire if I do otherwise. Now I feel like a shitty big cousin because all I want to do is shout, "Don't marry him!"
@smmatt08 I was the same on Wednesday. I was so relieved when she saw a heartbeat right away that I just collapsed on the table. Then I was just impatient to go home. Lol. I got emotional later after the nurse called and said how far along I was.
I currently hiding in bed, drinking coffee. My husband thinks I'm still sleeping, but really I just want quiet time away from the kids. I'm letting him cook them breakfast and dress them and I don't feel guilty at all!

@KLBell17 I am so with you. My pre-preggo self DEFINITELY had a number of elastic-waist "pants" in the work wardrobe rotation...I swear, the ones I wear at work don't look like leggings...

I am five weeks two days and I just spent my weekly allowance on 50% off sale maternity pants at Jcrew. I know it will be months before I NEED maternity clothes, but this bloat is already making buttoning my jeans an issue. It doesn't help that all my pants are high waisted (I'm short legged). Bring on the leggings and tunics!
I'm thinking of having DH call me pretending to be DD's daycare saying that she is sick and I need to come get her so that I can leave work early.
In my defense, she truly isn't feeling well and I want to get her early so she can relax at home, but I don't have a good "excuse" (i.e. she's not truly fevered or anything, just has a cold and is kinda miserable).

I agree. After just glancing I know it's a thread I just need to stay out of. Most "FWP"s just make my head spin, granted I'm a black cat because I live in Africa (though originally from the first world)
I think I've said this before but I can't remember. But my FFFC is that I'm ridiculously paranoid about what affect my phone could have on my baby. Ever since someone told me storing your phone in bra can cause breast cancer, I've been very vigilant about keeping cell phones away from my belly!

Today is my last day in my position before I transfer to a different facility, and the girls ordered pizza as a surprise. I was really excited about the food I already planned to eat from the cafeteria today. I pretended to be thrilled about the pizza, but my irrational pregnant self was ready to cry.

@Jen080916 I think the snark will be coming out in the very near future. This was a topic on yesterday's UO too. I held back a lot because I knew everyone was so excited to be able to join the board at all, but now that we are getting to the end of line as far as due dates for the month are concerned, I think I'll feel better about getting snarky on people.

I can't stand to read the posts where users complain about their symptoms. I know they're hard to deal with sometimes, but we should all feel lucky to even be able to complain of nausea.
After three consecutive miscarriages and being stuck in a Groundhog Day of ongoing first trimester months... I don't have it in me to complain or listen to complaining.

Mine is that I have an unhealthy obsession with a girl I went to high school with...she's SUPER Catholic, to the point of posting all kinds of anti-abortion memes, Bible verses, you name it. Well, she and her husband had a lot of trouble getting pregnant (which she of course documented in great detail, along with prayer requests) and are now doing IVF. I have nothing against IVF, but it's completely against the Catholic Church's teachings. Every time she talks about how God is leading them through this process I just want to comment that it's actually doctors who are leading you, and according to your religion, God isn't cool with it.
I should just block her but it's more fun to snark on her with my friends. I'm a terrible person.
I've never participated in a FFFC, but I want to add that when I see people with outdated tickers, especially the ones that say they are like 183 weeks pregnant, I try to imagine their avatar with a HUGE, octomom sized pregnant belly about to explode. People really need to update their tickers and signatures.
