Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Nothing to rant about today. Rave: H and I are making the 4 hour drive up to my parents house tonight and spending the weekend up there. It's always so relaxing when we go visit. We only get to see them maybe once every couple of months, so they always get excited to see how much the bump has grown. Symptoms: Nothing new, just the same RLP and being uncomfortable. My feet always seem to be sore too.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Just working on baby's room and house renovations. Should be getting the trim put back up today, and hopefully getting the hardwood/laminate floors installed next month finally. FX. Also got registered for birth classes yesterday - the hospital I go to recommends taking them at 28-30 weeks, and spots tend to fill up fast according to my OB. Shit's getting' real!
GTKY: What is one thing your SO does that drives you nuts? He is a perfectionist about almost everything. Sometimes it really does come in handy and I like that he wants things done correctly, but other times I want to roll my eyes because he gets so heated about minuscule things - especially when it comes to work or house projects. But I love him regardless!
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Off today, so while the kids are at school, I'm hoping to go through some closets and junk to declutter.
Questions? Don't think so!
GTKY: What is one thing your SO does that drives you nuts? loud or repetitive noises drive me insane, so either the volume he keeps the TV (and I always have to ask him to turn it down) or being able to hear his chewing. Rage monster.
Rave-its Friday and its supposed to be in the 60s this weekend! It may be time to show off my belly to our neighbors since until now, its been hidden in heavy winter layers.
Symptoms- ab soreness/stretching, my belly button is starting to feel really odd as it shallows out too.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Almost done with her quilt, just have a tiny bit of quilting and adding the binding to go, as well as trimming off the 80 bajillion thread ends. Hoping to have it totally finished and polished up by the end of the weekend as long as the lovely weather doesn't keep us outside the whole time.
GTKY: What is one thing your SO does that drives you nuts?
He does plenty that bugs me but the most recent thing that comes to mind is when he is kind enough to stop at the grocery store on the way home. He brings in the groceries he got and puts them on the counter and just leaves, no word to me that they're there or anything, just drops them and leaves the kitchen, cold stuff out and all.
@MamaNicoleof3 Unfortunately, yes. I get up every morning with H before he leaves for work, and this morning was a brutal 3 am wake up call. I tried going back to bed after, but it took forever to fall back asleep and I ended up only sleeping for another hour anyway.
Enjoy your day off kid free today! Also, I have a habit of asking H to turn down the tv too lol I don't know why, but if I'm trying to sleep it's so distracting.
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: still stick but I'm raving that DH felt the baby kick this morning for the first time!! I've been feeling it for a few days but I'm so pumped he finally did!!
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Girl bedding should be arriving today, other than that not much this weekend. We have visitors coming to stay for the weekend so that trumps any nursery or baby progress!
Questions? None!
GTKY: What is one thing your SO does that drives you nuts? Leaves his socks in the living room, I find them in the couch cushions sometimes! Drives me batty... But I'm far from a neat freak so he could say a lot about me that makes him equally as crazy!
@mrsschmity have a safe drive to your parents & enjoy the visit!!
@Sgoldberg247 My belly button is feeling funny too. I had an innie before getting pregnant, and it's slowly becoming an outtie. I have a feeling it'll be a full blown outtie within the next month or so.
@MsBeachNJ Yay for H feeling baby kicks! That is so exciting
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Rave: it's Friday! Rant: I'm hungry, but trying to wait until the glucose test at 9
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Glucose test and Doctor this morning.
GTKY: What is one thing your SO does that drives you nuts? He gets frustrating when he is putting furniture or anything like that together. Doesn't help that he's normally adamant he's doing it right even though I tell him it doesn't look right. I have to let him completely put it together (the wrong way) before he listens and he has to do it again.
@mrsschmity have fun with your family this weekend!!
@MsBeachNJ - yay for H feeling baby! I can imagine it means a ton to our H's when they're finally able to feel baby sorry you're still sick though!
How far along are you? 23+1
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Rant: I think I'm going to finally have to call the doctor about my hand situation. I have far from full mobility in my right hand ever since they tried to get an IV going there (the tech definitely did some fishing around until she finally blew my vein) and any wrong movement send a sharp pain up theough my hand...my left hand is also completely tingly right now... Rave: it's a work day at school so I get to finally get caught up on paperwork (although that could be a rant) after all of my days out the past few weeks!
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Registering for classes today after you all have reminded me to do so! And registry (I need to get going on that)
GTKY: What is one thing your SO does that drives you nuts? H is a very intelligent man, which I love about him, but you can read on his face whenever he doesn't agree with something or you're incorrect about something. I know he doesn't mean to be demeaning or condescending but it comes off that way...
@mrsschmityare you doing the renovations yourselves? @MamaNicoleof3decluttering is the best. I always feel so accomplished when I get through with it. This last go around we found a women's shelter to donate all of our gently used items to @Sgoldberg247I'm so envious of your craftiness. I don't think I have the patience to learn something like that
How far along are you? 22+2
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Rave: Contractor and designer are coming over today - finally! Can't wait to see what the plan is for our house, especially the paint choices. Symptoms: Sore hips and lower back - nothing terrible though
What are you doing to prepare for baby? This weekend we're going to start cleaning the garage, I'm going to clean and organize the master bathroom vanity and I'm going to eat more mini eggs
GTKY: What is one thing your SO does that drives you nuts? WORST PROCRASTINATOR EVER!!! However, he's hugely supportive of me - everything from my hobbies to my career to my pregnancy and health - no one's perfect right?
@tjenkins528 Good luck at your appointment today! @junebabyjoy Hope you get some answers on your hand situation...that sounds very uncomfortable! @cdnrunning Yes we are doing all the renovations ourselves. My dad will be coming to help with the laminate floor installation. The big project will be later this year when we get started on finishing the basement. I feel like house renovations are a never ending list! Sounds like you guys have a lot going on too! Can't wait to see how everything turns out
Good morning, and happy Friday ladies! @MamaNicoleof3 I hate loud chewing to! @Sgoldberg247 I can't wait to see your finished quilt! I'm so impressed with how quickly you are getting it done! @MsBeachNJ My H use to leave socks in the living room, and then our dog stated chewing holes in them, which made it stop.
How far along are you? 23 weeks
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Not much new. Excited that is Friday and I got an email that my Zulilly order shipped. Hello new maxi and maternity shirt!
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Cleaning out closets and getting rid of junk
GTKY: What is one thing your SO does that drives you nuts? He doesn't use a clothes hamper and just throws dirty clothes on the floor.
@mrsschmity have a wonderful weekend with the fam! I'm going to my mom's for the weekend and hope it's similarly relaxing. @mamanicoleof3 enjoy your day off!
How far along are you? 22 weeks tomorrow- woot.
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Rave: Loving prenatal yoga. I always sleep well afterwards and it just is so nice to have a window of ME TIME on Thursday nights. By the time I get home, my daughter is either asleep or chilling in her crib... I often treat myself to a yummy biscotti and latte before the class, just a nice new ritual. Another rave (after so many rants early in the week): My eyes appear to be normalizing. I still look like a stoner (bloodshot and squinty) but they aren't so sore and my throat feels better so I MUST be kicking this. Rant: Heartburn this morning- hoping it goes away asap.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Yoga... and wondering how the backseat of our car is going to work out when we have a toddler, a baby, and a giant shaggy dog in it. My daughter gets annoyed enough with the slobbery dog face on/near her lap.
Questions? How is the zantac working out for those of you using it for heartburn?
GTKY: What is one thing your SO does that drives you nuts? Oh jeez, he's a lovely man and we've had 13 great years together but he DOES NOT TIDY!!!! Ever!!! He just leaves his stuff lying around all. the. time. He doesn't do it to be disrespectful, I just think he honestly doesn't notice. So I either just pick it all up or feel like a big nag. We live in a small apartment, and I love our small apartment, but with little floor space in the first place, I want that floor space to not be strewn with random stuff! My two-year-old is better at clearing up after herself!
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Headaches! I had to cancel my chiropractor appointment on Monday when it started ice-storming, so my neck is killing me! Rant: Our 75 lbs dog has decided that his favorite place to sleep is now in between us in bed (this is a new development, he has 2 beds on the floor)... the boy needs a reality check cause I didn't sleep at ALL last night. Rave: Friday. That is all.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? We're going to a class tomorrow for "New Moms and Dads". Might be worthless, might be good. I don't have high hopes, but I'm hoping to get lunch out of it! And H assembled the glider last night! Time to do some daily reading/show watching to teach the dogs that they get no attention from whoever is in the chair...
GTKY: What is one thing your SO does that drives you nuts? I have to pick just one?! Just kidding... kinda. How about two? He gets easily distracted (like stop talking mid-sentence level distracted) and leaves his stuff everywhere! He's gotten so much better at picking up after himself and I'm super grateful for that.
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Rant...Day 4. I'm feeling a bit better (yay) but still not 100%, & I'm bored. I barely slept last night between struggling to breathe, heartburn, & H snoring...ah! Rave...I'm going to try to re-join the land of the living today & run some errands. Woo! Also, I had some Zulily purchases arrive yesterday! Symptoms...heartburn is killing me right now!
Questions? Yes! Are you ladies planning to use a separate laundry detergent for your LO? Have you given any thought to which one you will use? H & I were thinking of Tide Gentle & Free, & I'd love some opinions.
GTKY: What is one thing your SO does that drives you nuts? Sometimes he chews VERY loud...he completely grosses me out. I think he does it on purpose sometimes just to get a reaction out of me, but it's such a pet peeve of mine & absolutely drives me insane.
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Rant is that I took my dog to get his teeth cleaned yesterday and he spent all night coughing. The vet said he threw up while he was under and put him on an antibiotic as a "preventative" for aspiration pneumonia. I called this morning and let them know it's not preventative anymore as he is sick and now i have to take him in today. I'm super paranoid and worried about him now poor baby.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? I might test my baebe babycook out this weekend. Ya know, so I'm super prepared for around December when I might try solids with baby.
Questions?
GTKY: What is one thing your SO does that drives you nuts? Hmmm. Maybe the fact that he can't pay a bill on time. So I ended up taking all the bills over so I know they get paid on time, which is annoying because I don't like the process of writing the checks out either and it would be nice to split the duty. I can literally hand him a bill before I go to work and ask him to pay it and when I get home and ask about it, he forgot. I guess it' mostly with his $ that we pay the bills so I guess I should just suck it up haha.
The other thing is the sounds he makes while eating and drinking. But that's actually everyone.. I have issues.
Married July 2014 DD born June 2016 Second due August 2020 (team green!)
@MsBeachNJ - My husband does the sock thing too and it drives me bat shit crazy! He knows that our dogs will play tug o' war with anything on the floor (or stuffed in the couch cushions). I used to rescue the socks for him, now I don't. If he's home I just say "hope you didn't need that sock anymore".
@junebabyjoy- Yuck, I hope you get everything taken care of and feel better!
@mrsallikat- My maxi dresses also shipped from Zulilly yesterday...there is a solid chance you and I may be twins when they arrive
How far along are you? 24 +4 . I also said that yesterday but realized that was a lie last night.
Rant/Rave/Symptoms:Rant- none, I'm just ready for this work day to be over. Rave- a coworker brought me mini banana muffins...I also happen to have a jar of peanut butter in my desk. This could be the best cubicle breakfast ever. Symptoms: Still hives & tired. No new developments.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? This weekend we are supposed to finish the touch up paint on the walls and organize her closet by moving all of our junk out of there.
Questions? Nope
GTKY: What is one thing your SO does that drives you nuts? I am going to preface this by saying that my husband is the kindest, most patient man maybe ever. I can be a little tough to get along with. I like things done when I want them done, the way I want them done but I am not necessarily a perfectionist. I'm just a little set in my ways. All of that to say...my husband does a lot of things just a tad wrong. If he offers to make dinner (which is very sweet) it will be all perfect except that he uses 3/4's of cup of egg whites instead of two tablespoons and now our burgers are pancakes. Or my favorite recent one- he took care of cleaning up a mess the dog made where she peed on the floor. In my mind, that means it has been sanitized, you know, so we can walk on clean floors and stuff. In his mind it just means the actual pee was wiped and it is no longer wet. I love him, I promise I do. I am appreciative of how kind he is to me but sometimes I just have to step away and try to figure out what logic he used.
@mrsschmity : Have a great weekend! Now I think I'll try to sign up for classes before I leave. @cdnrunning : What are mini eggs? @junebabyjoy : Yikes, I hope they figure out what's wrong with your hand! @msbeachNJ : Yay for your DH feeling baby kicks! @sgoldberg247 : Would love to see the quilt when it's finished!
How far along are you? 22w4d
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Rant: While it IS Friday, I feel like the day is going to go by really slowly and I have a TON of stuff to do to prepare for our vacation. Rave: We leave for Miami tomorrow! I'll see you all in 10 days! Symptoms: Super stuffy nose, per usual, RLP or something similar, super gassy today. Last night my belly almost felt like I had had an ab workout or something.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Gestating. Taking this baby on his first plane ride and vacation SIL found a weekend that works for her and my gfs so it's looking like it will be 4/10. Next is getting the invite list with addresses to her. Registered for "Just Between Friends" on 4/16 so the timing works great since I'll know what I still need.
Questions? Are there any precautions I have to take while flying KU? I don't think there are...
GTKY: What is one thing your SO does that drives you nuts? Only one? haha. The major thing that gets to me is when he gets on me to get something done. I know I need to and he's just making sure I do the things I need to do, but I hate being told what to do and sometimes I feel like a child when he does it. And on the flip side, I hate when I have to repeatedly tell HIM to get something done. But it's all about the execution. There are also minor things, but he's a really great guy and I feel extremely lucky to have him. Also want to rave that he always puts the toilet seat and lid down. I don't know why this is a big deal to me, but I'm so glad that he does. Our entire relationship, he has always done that.
Me - 33, DH - 33 Married - May 2014 DH - Low Count/Motility/Morph - Varicocele vein x 2 - surgery (8/11) - success! BFP - 10/10/15, EDD - 6/20/16 - It's a BOY! @DeePaddy24 we plan to use the same detergent we have been using but it's one of the dye free perfume free detergents. If baby has sensitive skin, we'll switch it up but at least to start, she'll get what I use for everything else.
@Kballew10 Kick that dog out of the bed! Mine knows what shut up means (he will start pacing in the middle of the night) and retreats to his bed. Good dog. Good thing he is cute
How far along are you? 23+6
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: My doctor is awesome!! My mom came with me to my appointment yesterday and she starting of the sono machine and we got to see him again. Precious baby hates getting his picture taken. He is looking great and measuring 1lb 7 oz. And it looks like he has his uncle's (my brother) ears. This makes me smile for some reason. Measuring a few days early as well.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Breastfeeding class registered. Hospital tour registered. Shower invites out this weekend. He still has no name. GTKY: What is one thing your SO does that drives you nuts? Nothing - he's perfect! LOL just kidding.Biggest annoyance? HE SHAKES ALL THE TIME WHILE SITTING STILL. I can't handle that movement out of the side of my eye. Granted, most people do this. It just bothers me. Lay off the caffeine.
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: No Rants! It's Friday and it's supposed to be 75° today!! Woo hoo! Rave: going to enjoy this glorious weather, sit outside, go shopping, breathe in fresh air! Symptoms: just sore - legs, hips, feet, back. Not terrible, but enough to notice.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? I'm going to try to take some photos from around the area. I will be taking ones that have some pop of blue in them, then Photoshopping the rest of the picture to be black and white, so the blue stands out against the gray nursery walls. I already have some from Yosemite and Tahoe from our last vacation that I'm using, now this boy needs some STL pictures.
Questions? Have a separate thread with a question. Hope to hear from the neuro today.
GTKY: What is one thing your SO does that drives you nuts? Like everyone, he has little unique quirks that irk me sometimes, but his major flaw is a lack of time management. He gets overwhelmed when his list gets too long, blows up and gives up. He wants to be spontaneous 24/7, but has a business, so that doesn't work.
@BakerBird525 Cadbury Mini Eggs come out for Easter. They have a hard crunchy candy shell and a milk chocolate interior. They come in a purple bag. I'd post a pic but I've been too lazy to figure it out, maybe I'll give it another shot this weekend!
I read all of your lovely posts and wanted to respond individually but this app is seriously awful!!
How far along are you? 21+6
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Rant: This app is the worst it makes it so difficult to participate because I'm on the go all day not at a computer (besides my work computer which I can't use for this ugh). Also I'm so tired!! Rave: It's Friday! My mom, sister, and I are having a girls evening today! Symptoms: Baby kicks, RLP, heartburn. Basically same old, same old
What are you doing to prepare for baby? I'm going to look into baby classes today and call about scheduling the hospital tours for the 2 hospitals my OB delivers at. Also hopefully going to try out car seats tomorrow. And still trying to find new names to tell H
Questions? @DeePaddy24 have you guys made any progress on a boy name? I know we're in the same boat ha
GTKY: What is one thing your SO does that drives you nuts? I love him to death but the man drives me crazy sometimes. One thing I absolutely hate is that he doesn't like the sound of nail clippers (I know he's weird) so he literally rips his toenails off!! It makes me cringe and I have to walk away!!!
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Symptoms: Sore back. Also, fairly sure baby likes to kick at my right floating rib--ow.
Rave: TGIF, duh. Come hell or high water (although neither appear in the weather forecast), H is painting our kitchen cabinet doors this weekend. YAY! Also, have an appt with countertop contractors on Sat. Hallelujah, progress on the kitchen. If I have to look at a half done project for much longer I will flip my ever-loving sh*t.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Nursery prep this weekend while H paints kitchen doors. Finalizing registry
GTKY: What is one thing your SO does that drives you nuts? Seems to be a running theme here, but he doesn't pick up after himself all that well. He's notorious for doing something, leaving some sort of mess, and then when I ask him to clean it up, he says "oh, I was getting to that. I wasn't finished." BS. He is fantastic about jumping in to tackle laundry, cook dinner, do dishes, and stuff around the house, though.
@SMLmom Zantac is the only thing that works for me! I have to try to remember to take it proactively otherwise I have nights like last night where it took over an hour to kick in and I thought I was going to throw up my heartburn was so bad. Definitely recommend it!
@DeePaddy24 we used the Tide gentle for DS for the first few months and then transitioned back to he regular Tide after realizing it didn't irritate his skin. Same plan for this one
@MrsB8214 Yes! We were pretty sure we knew what it would be, but I needed to be 100% sold. I struggled because I was so set on a girls name & struggled with having to let it go. But our boys name is Jackson. I know it's super popular & people are probably rolling their eyes at me, but it's my maiden name & since I'm an only child this is how we're carrying on the name. It's meaningful. The MN, though, we are undecided on. We're stuck between 2. Do you have any names on a short list yet?
@KOR121 - I plan on it. This is a new thing, but he seems to be getting closer since a few nights ago, he was at the bottom of the bed (which is fine because I'm short!). He is SUPER lucky that he's so damn cute. He knows "off" and always listens to it, but at 4am, it didn't occur to me to do it so I just slowly pushed him until he moved enough for me to doze off for an hour or so...
@mrsschmity - Perfect time to take classes in my opinion! I wish I had gotten in earlier...I'm taking them from week 32-28...yikes! @crdo - Yeah for painting kitchen cabinets!!! You guys are moving along in the remodel! @junebabyjoy - Oh no! I hope your hand feels better soon! @msbeachNJ - Yay for your H feeling baby kicks! I feel like little girl is shy and hides from my H when she is kicking around...I run to him say "feel this" and she stops. lol Already a brat. @sgoldberg247 - I can't wait to see the quilt when it's finished! @tjenkins525 - Yeah, some battles you can't win...I don't try to tell H how to put things together anymore...lol @mamanicoleof3 and @deepaddy24 - Hearing people chew is the WORST! @bakerbird535 - Have fun in Miami!!! Get some sun for me please.
How far along are you? 24 w, 2 d
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Feeling ok but I need a day to sleep in...I'm tired. Baby girl was ACTIVE yesterday though. It was adorable.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Tiling the bathroom this weekend!!! Thank God we are getting closer. Also, buying a few baby things.
GTKY: What is one thing your SO does that drives you nuts? Like @bakerbird525 I'll ask the question "Just one?!?" Let's see...he thinks Trump is funny (full disclosure, he thinks the man is funny, NOT that he would vote for him) and that irritates me right now because it means that stupid face is on our TV sometimes. Normally though he has a little OCD and it can bug me if he tells me to do something mundane (like the way I clean) differently. I usually end up putting down whatever I'm cleaning and tell him to do it then....and it usually works so I guess it is a win for me in the end.
@mrsschmity Don't forget to show pictures of baby's room when you get it painted. @BakerBird525 I would also like to recognize my husband for ALWAYS putting the toilet seat down. I take that for granted. @MeganF08While I'm sure it gets old, your DH sounds precious. @samsonator My husband sucks at the bill paying thing, too. I was taking care of paying all the bills but it kinda stressed me out so he volunteered to take over when I got KU so I could relax a little. Well now I just have to follow-up about everything because he sucks at it so I'm not sure that really worked.
How far along are you? 24+2
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Rant: I haven't been the most productive at work this week and I feel like I really need to make up for it today. Rave: It's Friday and that means Friday lunch club at school. I'm so tempted to go down there and see what I have to look forward to for lunch. Symptoms: Feeling good! Tired.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? DH and I are working on getting the boys beds finished this weekend. One step closer to clearing out baby's room.
GTKY: What is one thing your SO does that drives you nuts? Oh man... my husband is the most sentimental person I have ever met. Sweet? Yes. Annoying as Fack? HELL Yes. He REFUSES to get rid of anything!! We have hardly any room for new baby stuff because all of our closets are full of stuff his kids played with when they were little... like 10 years ago. I am a FTM so maybe this will make more sense to me when I have kids of my own, but you aren't honoring or cherishing that set of pool rings by just shoving them in a closet and I'm pretty sure if you toss them out, your memories don't go with it!
I absolutely love the name Jackson and it's one of the few that H hasn't said no to! That's so special that it has such an important meaning for you guys, I love that!
These are the names H hasn't completely said no to although he hasn't said he loves any of them either: -Andrew (H wants to call him AJ) -Max (possibly Maxwell) -Jackson -Parker -Evan (H's middle name) -Luke
@mrsschmity: Sounds like a nice weekend ahead! Yay for nursery progress!
@MamaNicoleof3: Enjoy your kid free day! De-cluttering is so satisfying, amirite?
@Sgoldberg247: Can't wait to see the finished quilt. My inner is slowly stretching to an outie--it's weird. I'm excited for warm weather this weekend, too. Noticed some daffodils that bloomed yesterday--ahhh, spring.
@msbeachnj: How exciting H felt baby kick! Enjoy your visitors!
@DeePaddy24: Hope you keep getting better, and are able to stay entertained For detergent, we're cloth diapering, so we may just use whatever we choose for the diapers for baby's laundry also. I'm thinking tide free and clear, or seventh generation. In any case, it probably won't be the same thing we use.
@samsonator: Oh no! Hope you're able to get doggy to the vet and get them better soon.
@mrsschmity have a good trip this weekend! @MsBeachNJ Yay for your H feeling movement! And I hear you on the socks. They. Are. Everywhere. @tjenkins528 GL with your glucose screening! @SMLmom & @DeePaddy24 Glad you are both starting to feel better! @DeePaddy24 we switched to All Free detergent when DD was born. @BakerBird525 Have fun on your trip to Miami!!
**Thanks to everyone who congratulated my H and I yeseterday!**
How far along are you? 22w6d
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Rant: I hit 90% of my data a few days ago, so that's limiting my time on here, hah. Poor me. Data rolls over Sunday... Rave: H found out the bonus amount we'll get this year and it's almost double what we'd estimated! I'm trying to convince him we should take DD to Disney for a day or two on the cheap. We live pretty close and it would be nice to do something for her before the baby comes! And DD would lose her mind with excitement.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Not sure I'm going to get all the things done that I'd planned this weekend. But I'm almost finished clearing DD's toys out of there so I can paint.
GTKY: What is one thing your SO does that drives you nuts? Just one? hah It drives me insane that he can't go 5 minutes without his phone in his hand . We've talked about it before and he just doesn't care. Even if he sits down to watch a show he specifically recorded, you can bet he'll be reading news stories on Yahoo the whole time. I want to throw it away. Trouble is, he has to be on call for work 24/7 and check/respond to work email ..so it's not like I can force "no screen time". Blah!!
June 2016 April Siggy Challenge: Reasons my kid is crying
@SMLmom : Zantac 75 is working out great but it definitely works better if you take it before you get heartburn so I will usually take it an hour before dinner if I think it will cause heartburn and then, viola, no heartburn!
@cdnrunning : Ah, yes! I love the Cadbury mini eggs! I didn't even notice easter candy was out yet. Yay!
@DeePaddy24 : glad you are feeling better! We are planning to use a kind of detergent we saw at BBB and registered for. It's called Dreft.
@kballew10 : have DH kick him off. I have this problem a lot where Daisy (who is about 70 lbs) jumps back on the bed at some point during the night and it's always on my legs and then I can't move so I have DH move her or push her off and then she goes back to her spot. If you do it now, your dog should get the hint fairly quickly (hopefully).

@DeePaddy24 - I think that's awesome that you're able to use your maiden name, how meaningful!! Love it. I also was just thinking about the laundry detergent last night as I did laundry, so thank you for asking that question!
@tjenkins528 Good luck at the glucose test this morning! I hope you pass!
@junebabyjoy I hope you figure out what is going on with
your hands! It sounds frustrating, and I’m
sorry you have to deal with it.
@cdnrunning Have fun with the contractor today! It sounds exciting to figure out what you’ll
do!
@kballew10 I totally understand the dog frustration – and I
can’t imagine it being a 75 lb dog. Our
15 pound dog likes to sleep between us or between my legs. It’s frustrating to
try to roll over in the middle of the night, move the pillow that is between my
knees, all while dealing with even a little dog!
@DeePaddy: For laundry detergent, I don’t know if we’ll use something
different for baby’s clothes, but we are planning to cloth diaper so I have to
figure out what will work best with our soft water. Maybe that will be for baby’s clothes as
well?
@samsonator So sorry to hear your dog is sick. Hopefully it isn’t anything too bad and they
can take care of him at the appointment today!
@BakerBird525 Enjoy Miami!
Have fun!!! My doctor said that
if I fly later in pregnancy, just to make sure to bring a water bottle so I can
stay hydrated and walk around a little to keep the blood flowing.
@shannonrnbsn I love your picture idea. Be sure to share them once you’re done!
@MrsB8214 Enjoy your girls night! Sounds like fun!

Rant/Rave/Symptoms:
Nothing to rant about today.

Rant/Rave/Symptoms:
Nothing out of the ordinary
What are you doing to prepare for baby?
Off today, so while the kids are at school, I'm hoping to go through some closets and junk to declutter.
Questions?
Don't think so!
GTKY: What is one thing your SO does that drives you nuts?
loud or repetitive noises drive me insane, so either the volume he keeps the TV (and I always have to ask him to turn it down) or being able to hear his chewing. Rage monster.
Rant/Rave/Symptoms:
Rant- nothing particularly rant-worthy yet today
What are you doing to prepare for baby?
Almost done with her quilt, just have a tiny bit of quilting and adding the binding to go, as well as trimming off the 80 bajillion thread ends. Hoping to have it totally finished and polished up by the end of the weekend as long as the lovely weather doesn't keep us outside the whole time.
GTKY: What is one thing your SO does that drives you nuts?
@Sgoldberg247 - that would drive me batty!
@MsBeachNJ - yay for H feeling baby! I can imagine it means a ton to our H's when they're finally able to feel baby

Rant/Rave/Symptoms:
Rant: I think I'm going to finally have to call the doctor about my hand situation.
@MamaNicoleof3decluttering is the best. I always feel so accomplished when I get through with it. This last go around we found a women's shelter to donate all of our gently used items to
@Sgoldberg247 I'm so envious of your craftiness. I don't think I have the patience to learn something like that

Rave: Contractor and designer are coming over today - finally!
@junebabyjoy Hope you get some answers on your hand situation...that sounds very uncomfortable!
@cdnrunning Yes we are doing all the renovations ourselves. My dad will be coming to help with the laminate floor installation. The big project will be later this year when we get started on finishing the basement. I feel like house renovations are a never ending list! Sounds like you guys have a lot going on too! Can't wait to see how everything turns out
@MamaNicoleof3 I hate loud chewing to!
@mamanicoleof3 enjoy your day off!
How far along are you? 22 weeks tomorrow- woot.
Rant/Rave/Symptoms:
Rave: Loving prenatal yoga.
@SMLmom - Glad you're finally getting better!
How far along are you? 22w1d
@cdnrunning good luck with the contractor! That's exciting!
@mrsallikat maybe I'll have to get a dog! Haha! Yay for new clothes, enjoy!!
@smlmom that's awesome that you are loving prenatal yoga! I can't seem to find a class around me but I do want to try it!!

Rant/Rave/Symptoms:
Rant...Day 4.
SaveSave
Rant/Rave/Symptoms:
Rant is that I took my dog to get his teeth cleaned yesterday and he spent all night coughing. The vet said he threw up while he was under and put him on an antibiotic as a "preventative" for aspiration pneumonia. I called this morning and let them know it's not preventative anymore as he is sick and now i have to take him in today. I'm super paranoid and worried about him now
What are you doing to prepare for baby?
DD born June 2016
Second due August 2020 (team green!)

Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Rant: While it IS Friday, I feel like the day is going to go by really slowly and I have a TON of stuff to do to prepare for our vacation. Rave: We leave for Miami tomorrow! I'll see you all in 10 days!
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Gestating. Taking this baby on his first plane ride and vacation

Rant/Rave/Symptoms:
My doctor is awesome!!
LOL just kidding. Biggest annoyance?
Rant/Rave/Symptoms:
Symptoms: Sore back.
@DeePaddy24 we used the Tide gentle for DS for the first few months and then transitioned back to he regular Tide after realizing it didn't irritate his skin. Same plan for this one
@BakerBird525 have fun in Miami!!
@shannonrnbsn those photos sound so cool! You definitely need to post a pic when you're done

@tjenkins525 - Yeah, some battles you can't win...I don't try to tell H how to put things together anymore...lol

@BakerBird525 I would also like to recognize my husband for ALWAYS putting the toilet seat down. I take that for granted.
@MeganF08 While I'm sure it gets old, your DH sounds precious.
@samsonator My husband sucks at the bill paying thing, too. I was taking care of paying all the bills but it kinda stressed me out so he volunteered to take over when I got KU so I could relax a little. Well now I just have to follow-up about everything because he sucks at it so I'm not sure that really worked.

These are the names H hasn't completely said no to although he hasn't said he loves any of them either:
-Andrew (H wants to call him AJ)
-Max (possibly Maxwell)
-Jackson
-Parker
-Evan (H's middle name)
-Luke
@MamaNicoleof3: Enjoy your kid free day! De-cluttering is so satisfying, amirite?
@Sgoldberg247: Can't wait to see the finished quilt. My inner is slowly stretching to an outie--it's weird. I'm excited for warm weather this weekend, too. Noticed some daffodils that bloomed yesterday--ahhh, spring.

Blah!!

@cdnrunning Have fun with the contractor today! It sounds exciting to figure out what you’ll do!
@kballew10 I totally understand the dog frustration – and I can’t imagine it being a 75 lb dog. Our 15 pound dog likes to sleep between us or between my legs. It’s frustrating to try to roll over in the middle of the night, move the pillow that is between my knees, all while dealing with even a little dog!
@DeePaddy: For laundry detergent, I don’t know if we’ll use something different for baby’s clothes, but we are planning to cloth diaper so I have to figure out what will work best with our soft water. Maybe that will be for baby’s clothes as well?
@samsonator So sorry to hear your dog is sick. Hopefully it isn’t anything too bad and they can take care of him at the appointment today!
@BakerBird525 Enjoy Miami! Have fun!!! My doctor said that if I fly later in pregnancy, just to make sure to bring a water bottle so I can stay hydrated and walk around a little to keep the blood flowing.
@shannonrnbsn I love your picture idea. Be sure to share them once you’re done!
@MrsB8214 Enjoy your girls night! Sounds like fun!
