Re: Cloth diapering?

  •  How many cloth diapers would you recommend getting? (First time mom here!  :))

  • Any thoughts on how to try and convince a less than willing daycare to at least give CD a try?
  • I have cloth diapered my 2 year old since he was about 4 weeks old when he fit in my one size diapers! I love it! I cannot wait to cloth my new little fluff butt! They save SO much money, aren't nearly as bad as people think, and are freaking adorable! I use primarily pockets so I can choose what I want to stuff on the inside and add absorbency as needed, but once they are stuffed, they go on pretty much like a disposable! I do have a few different covers, that I use with Flour Sack Towels from walmart, that I actually like a lot more than I thought I would! You can reuse covers, as long as they don't get dirty, and the flour sack towels, are actually pretty absorbent and super easy to clean! I would definitely recommend trying out different brands until you find what you like, instead of investing in a whole stash and hating the fit! My personal favorite right now are Applecheeks, they don't have as many cute prints as other companies, but they just work for us. The fit is good, and I love the ruffles around the legs and waistband, it helps keep everything in! DS was in daycare from 6 months to a year before I decided to stay home, and they were fine using cloth, I had them pre stuffed, and they just put all dirty diapers in a wet bag!
