Something is trying to tell me not to drink coffee while pregnant. This will be a fun meeting with my boss's boss and corporate economics this afternoon... Edited to add... this happened after I spilt pickle juice on the floor of my office while trying to get the last pickle out. My office does not smell great right now... vanilla coffee and pickle juice... mmmm.

I had a stomach bug about a month ago and was admitted to L&D to get fluids. I knew it was time for me when I started having what I thought was a heart attack- rib pain, chest pain, jaw pain, arm pain (all caused by dehydration). I left it dangerously too long. I still couldn't urinate after 2 bags of fluid. Are you urinating at all? I would call back and ask specifics. Get better!!!!

I love the Food Network, by Giada DeLaurentiis drives me freaking batty. Her boobs are always hanging out, and even worse, whenever she tastes something, she chews like a cow. Gahhhhhhh.

Maybe be this should be on the UO thread. Who knows.

@sdnybrk I had this last week! Couldn't stop puking so after 7 hours and a long drive home I went directly to the ER. They put me in the OB triage unit. I had two bags of fluids before I could per again and it took several doses of anti nausea for my stomach to stop convulsing. I was hospitalized for almost 24 hours and don't regret going because I've never been so sick. This virus or whatever it is is going around so don't mess around and just go. It took all day for my doctors office to call me back just to say go to the hospital if I couldn't keep fluids down.

Edited to say I hope you feel better soon!

i think it had to do with some posts in 2nd tri about the TDAP vaccine.... That thread went ballistic with anti vaxxers going off on possible side effects, and vaxxers willing to risk a possible side effect in order to avoid their kid slowly dying from a disease that can be preventable. She will be missed!!!

@MamaNicoleof3 - Cannot STAND Giada. And every time I think of her or say/type her name I think of Giardia, which is probably appropriate given my dislike of her.

@crdo - I love that about big dogs. Someone tried to sell us an alarm system for our house once over the phone...H put the phone up to our Great Pyrenees (who was barking like mad at the indignity of the fact that the phone dared to ring without his permission) and they said "never mind".

I'm sure it was because by the time I got there to read it, most of her stuff was marked as "removed for violations" or whatever. It made me sad to have missed them.

My mom is coming to take me to get fluids. we can't really afford the extra bills (thank goodness for taxes), but an UTI and dehydration caused me to have a late miscarriage last june and I'm just not willing to risk it. Only been 18 hours, but 24 will be the middle of the night for me.

@Lilwatz we've been calling our LO turtle too! At the 8w u/s baby looked like a sea turtle with the webbed hands and the way the picture was taken too. Looks a lot less like that now but we still call the baby turtle sometimes.

re: our banned friend... Only anti-vaxxers should be banned IMO. We like science here. And babies not having whooping cough! That post was actually really informative before she jumped in, I didn't know about it being a newish thing to get TDaP during 3rd Tri instead of right after birth so it made sense to me that OP was asking the question. And she got a lot of really nice explanations about TDaP and class C drugs that helped me learn stuff too! Then one crazy jumped in and ruined it with personal attacks and uninformed opinions.

And rock on @DeePaddy24 - I just had steak and my only regret is that my husband cut a giant steak into two... so we could share... and I didn't really want to share. But then he made dinner and cleaned up, so I guess I shouldn't complain. There's Oreo ice cream in my future (and that I will not be sharing).

I think I'm going to have to quit wearing my wedding rings soon. It makes me want to cry. I love my rings and had to quit wearing them at around 12 weeks last time (we had only been married for about 5 months) and then it took me over 2 years to be able to wear them again--I don't want to not wear them for that long.

I thought I needed to make tater tot hotdish for fonner tomorrow, and then someone posted about tatchos and I think I need those instead!

@hbmama2b I do agree that it is a little much. I was really intimidated jumping into the thread. I spent a few weeks waiting for a new one that never came.
And I saw that about baby Cindy. Such great news.
