@DeePaddy24 love it! Do you think you can get away without having a zipper on it? If you say yes I am going to kick myself for not ordering it because it's so cute!

I sure hope so! It's big enough that I think it will be fine. I'm also very type-A & love organization...so if I keep it nicely organized (hah) I don't see it being an issue at all. I didn't consider the zipper thing until I had already ordered it, but I talked to a few other ladies who said they think I'll be fine, & I will like the convenience of not having one. Fingers crossed!!
Ack I'm so far behind! I'm at my parents' place this week helping out after my mum's knee replacement surgery (well, trying to be helpful while taking care of my toddler and being a slow sleepy pregnant lady) and I haven't had any computer time, boo.
@MamaNicoleof3 I love the lack of periods too! Every time someone complains about their period I'm like "oh yeah, that thing, I had that once." I've only had one period since July 2013 at this point. Thank you hormones!
I see posts about weight gain and I want to roll my eyes. I know that isn't nice so I try to take the time to write out ideas/thoughts to the posts and then OP never comes back and it makes me want to roll my eyes again all over.
I wanted to post my nursery questions here because I feel like this is the most regular thread. I posted them where they should go (on a nursery thread) but can someone who is not designed challenge like me help a girl out?
ETA - Thank you @MsBeachNJfor weighing in on the nursery point.
@mkemommy I think grey would look ok with the room. And a glider can pretty easily be recovered. Or, until LO is old enough to use the blanket, you could keep it over the back of the glider (or another blanket) that could be easily washed if it got spit up on and would keep the glider cleaner during those early months. If reply on the nursery thread, but my phone hates it and all of its pictures.
Pretty sure we need a baby brain/distraction cruise '16 for all of us with focus issues. Because lounging in a chaise with an umbrella drink and soaking up vitamin D sounds WAY better than winter in MN right now.
@mkemommy we had a light gray rocker/recliner in the nursery with our first. Didn't have any issues with it staying clean. We're using it again this time. Seemed like the baby mostly made a mess of me and my clothes, not the furniture.
Also, same deal for me with the weight posts. I broke my own rule about replying to post whores who don't participate...
June 2016 April Siggy Challenge: Reasons my kid is crying
@mkemommy - I will also respond to the nursery question here because I just can't handle that thread! So.many. pictures. I think grey would be perfect. We just ordered a grey one for our room too and while my sister said she wishes her glider had removable/washable cushions, I can't find one that I like that does... so I just don't care. Spot cleaner will be fine and let's be real, it's in the nursery and nobody else will see it or care. Kid's puke. I'm sure the glider will be the least concerning of the things it spits up on! Also, cute bedding!
@PBear93 - Very good idea about the cover/blanket!!! Didn't think of that either.
@hockeyfan42 - I feel you, I purposefully checked OP's history and saw this wasn't her first post at least before I bothered to respond. Still did no good apparently...can't win them all I guess. Also appreciate your input on the rocker. I think I'm ordering the grey today.
@kballew10 - Thank you! Yup, you all are selling me on just getting the grey. It was the first one I feel in love with (color wise) anyway...and its $300 or so for the chair and the ottoman so, yup, purchasing. I know this is going to be the dumbest thing to look back on and think "I was worried about spit up on a certain color chair?!?" at 24 weeks and not the whole sleep deprivation/breast feeding struggle/raising another human aspect. Priorities, I clearly don't have them straight...lol.

I rolled my eyes at the calorie counting one because OP comes on randomly and asks dumb questions then disappears until her next dumb question.
I feel bad saying this but I'm seriously thinking about only responding to regular posters' posts from here on out for that very reason @courtjack - I've tried to reply to people who aren't regular posters to give them the benefit of the doubt and it just ends up being a waste of time for me (and maybe them too but I'll never know...because they never respond).

Do it, it feels good. I sometimes comment on stuff that's either super annoying (if I'm feeling witty - so rarely) or fluff posts like names (if I've recently ingested candy and am happy), but for the most part it's the regulars ONLY.
Can we start a twatwaffle Wednesday?! I'm so mad at H, I don't even want to see him after work today. He apparently thinks playing golf is more important than cleaning out our spare bedroom for the nursery. He went on Saturday to play when we had been planning on cleaning and is going today, on his day off, to freaking play golf. This is a VERY new hobby of his and now I want to burn his clubs, is that going too far??
Bear14+ At least I'm not the only one, thank you!! I would understand more if he had been playing his whole life and was so awesome at it, be honestly-- he sucks. But he MUCH rather go play golf than help me with anything, at least that's how I feel.
@bankssl1 It's hard because you want to support his hobby (assuming he doesn't have a million of them haha) but also he needs to honor his commitments made to you. DH always asks me before he commits bc he's not good at remembering plans and if we have something planned, I let him know that it won't work or ask him how he will make it happen.
So so maybe have a talk with him about how you want to support him, but also make time for the things you want.
I don't know if you have any kids yet or not, but it's definitely nice when DH goes golfing in the morning and then I can take off in the afternoon to get my nails done or a little shopping in exchange! Or vice versa!
Bear14+ I used to enjoy when he would go like on a Saturday morning or something becuase I can sleep in and do my own thing in the morning. However, he has gone golfing Friday, Saturday and now today. It sounds like he's cheating on me when I write it out.. But he works two jobs, he's a firefighter and does electrical work on his days off from that, so I know he enjoys to get out of the house and de-stress, but I've already told him we're going to have to talk tonight. Hopefully these hormones will calm down before then, I've already broke down once today!
My mom just delivered H & I dinner, along with a crib sheet she made (pictured below). This ties with the Kate Spade bag arriving as best moment of my day. My mom is the greatest...she deserves all the awards today!!
@DeePaddy24 very cute! Moms are the best! What brand of crib is that?
@MsBeachNJ I honestly can't remember...it's from a Canadian manufacturer. I know that it's the "Tiffany" model, but I'd have to ask H to look up what brand. Sorry!!

SUCCESS!
Can we officially say that we just got shut down for talking tots?
Wow, so it's true. There is a gif for EVERYTHING!
