    WAYDTGKU: all the things

R/R/CS: got my temp spike this morning so hopefully will get another two to confirm O. We failed to hio on O again (we've never managed it) as SO had pretty much worked out what was happening and after two attempt realised the stage fright was back.

I know it's the the most important day but as we have never managed it and I'm not pregnant I can't help but wonder if that's what we are missing.

GTKY: Do you have a fun/interesting hobby?

Hhhhmmm not so much anymore, I used to be into ice skating and took lessons but haven't done that for a while now. I don't know when I'd manage to squeeze a hobby in now.

R/R/CS: annoyed to be on CD 25 with no temp shift. I'm pretty much at the point where any day that goes by, 3 more high temps would give that day CH. however, I've had negative OPKs since CD 12 (I didn't want to miss it in case my body decided to regulate and ovulate early). I have only O'd twice before and it was CD 23 and 31 so I guess I'm still in the game. I fricking hate these long mysterious cycles.

GTKY: Do you have a fun/interesting hobby? I am a nerd and decorate my Erin Condren Life Planner. It's both crafty and organizational so it's a pretty soothing hobby. My friend and I reserve a conference room at work and decorate on our lunches.

CM is all gone and my temp was rull low this morning so maybe I have O'ed?

GTKY: Do you have a fun/interesting hobby? Beer is a hobby! At least, it is the way I do it. Also I run mid-distances (10k to half-marathon) and lift heavy things.

R/R/CS: I haven't been feeling 100% the last few days (congestion, a bit of a post nasal drip), so my chart is ugly, I haven't gotten a positive OPK or a confirmation of O from FF yet.  This is my first cycle charting so I'm starting to get a little frustrated, even though I know there's probably some sort of learning curve.  But, I know I'm regular until I'm not so it's possible I'm having a longer cycle, so maybe I'll hit O by the end of the week.  If anyone with a little more experience looking at chart has insights I'd appreciate it.

@babymish Sorry to hear about your SO's stage fright :(  Mine had a little himself last night, I think sex has become very regimented and it's freaking him out a little.  Going to try some lingerie tonight to spice things up.

@sldp123 Sometimes kids say the darndest things, but at least you know when the time comes he'll be ready!

  • **Question in R/R/CS**

babymish Sorry about the stage fright with your husband but I agree with sldp123, hitting O day isn't the most important. If you BD the few days before hand, you've done well.

sldp123 I'm sorry for the frustration. I completely understand the anxiety of little kids expecting you to be KU. My 5yo niece is obsessed with babies and Auntie so-and-so is having a baby so she keeps telling me that I'm having one too. It's bad, to the point of her making me show her pictures of newborns and watching the Daniel Tiger episode where his mom is having a cub. Love her to death but she's making me crazy. FX for O-day!

Megzb510 I'm sorry to hear about the long cycles. I can only imagine how frustrating that must be. At least you're still in the game and FX for O-day for you soon.

R/R/CS: So this is my first cycle supplementing with OPKs. For you ladies who use them along with temping, when do you start using them during your cycle. Based on previous charting, my average cycle length is 30 days with an 11 day LP. I've seen a lot of different opinions on when and how often to test for the best accuracy but I trust your experience. Also, I have the Wondofo test strips so there's plenty of them. Thanks in advance for your answers.

R/R/CS: Made my piece with the utter fail that was my first cycle lol. ***Question: Due to the fact I experienced mittelschermz cramps and light spotting yesterday, do you guys think yesterday may have been my O day? (I unfortunately haven't been temping). I had a tiny bit of cramping earlier this morning, but other than that, nothing. Trying to decide whether to move on to TWW or not.

GTKY: Do you have a fun/interesting hobby?

Hm, I write and produce short films outside of my ~regular writing~. That's fun!
  • @babymish I agree with others that no need to worry about O day...  FX that it is your O day!

@Megzb510 I feel you on the long cycles... I've been charting since coming off BCPs 6 months ago and I haven't ovulated or had a period naturally yet.  I wish you the best and I hope your body O's soon for you!

R/R/CS:  My temps are always so much more consistent when my husband is away so I'm hoping that I have a pretty chart this cycle... and I hope the pretty chart consists of ovulation!  I caved and bought VIP for FF since the year was on sale.  And then I went into a deep hole of other's charts.... but, I'm still glad that I got it.

GTKY:  hmmm... I used to play soccer 5 days a week but then I had to move.  Now I work longer hours so I suppose my hobby is lifting weights in the garage? ... Oh! I paint sometimes to relax.  I'm not good, but I enjoy it :)

R/R/CS: all opks have been negative so far - I'm doing just one per day in the afternoon, as that is the recommendation in the instructions. Today would normally be O day, so I guess we'll see how off things are this cycle.

GTKY: Do you have a fun/interesting hobby? Err, probably not. I like to read and crochet... Also we have backyard chickens, if that counts.

@babymish sorry for the O-day dilemma. I am just impressed you guys managed to hit all 3 days prior.

@nwegman7878, I am so sorry about your horse. I used to ride as a teenager and my horse was basically my BFF, so I am having all the feels on your behalf.

@lcsrva if your temps are still low, you are probably still waiting to O and the CM is likely to come back.
Rainbow baby Dean is due 2/17/17!
  • @nwegman7878 I usually start OPKs on CD10 (I have O'd anywhere between CD13-CD19, but most frequently on CD15-16). I test once a day until the lines start showing up/getting darker, then I test twice a day.

R/R/CS: I am so thrilled because the RE agreed yesterday to start a medicated IUI cycle. I am on 50 mg clomid from CD 3-7 and then trigger next week and hopefully IUI 2 days later (shooting for next Friday but it all depends on how my body responds).

GTKY: Do you have a fun/interesting hobby? Not really. I played piano for most of my life but let it go after college. I also rode horses growing up.

Try to stay positive and if I were you I'd make sure to let him know he did well. Hopefully this is your month, but if not, it wouldn't hurt to build up his confidence a bit. Good luck!

GTKY: Uuuum not so much. DH and I are both pulling overtime, and we have such active jobs (nurse and fireman) that when we are home right now we just want to be still. We are looking at buying a home right now and want to do kind of hobby farm.

@babymish - Sorry for your DH's anxiety! O day is hard anyway, I think!
@sldp123 - What team? DH and I don't live near any pro teams but we hit minor league games!
@Megzb510 - I have a Purposeful Planner that I love using but I just can't get into decorating planners! It makes me use them less because I don't want to "mess it up" if it's ultra pretty.
@Icsrva - I really want to get into running 5k's this year. There's one in May I want to run in but I'm currently a couch potato... Idk if that's enough time to get up to running one. Especially with all the cold weather.

My only hobby is crossfit. I would laugh two years ago hearing myself say that, but I love it! I work out 5-6 times per week. I am naturally very competitive, but didn't inherit the athlete genes from my mother.....so I just compete with myself :) I honestly have never met a community of people that are so tight knit and supportive. I am one of those people who drank the kool aid and am never going back! One of the big things I have been researching is crossfit while pregnant, I am sure there are many opinions on this, but I will keep it up, but at a reduced pace and intensity. No more heavy lifts, or going for broke! Just slow and steady...

More performance anxiety from DH last night... I am hoping tonight works out better for us.

  • @Zoey1019 Yay, another CrossFitter! I also CrossFit 5-6 times a week, and have totally drank the Kool Aid. Are you ready for the Open?

Quite a few women at my gym have recently had babies, and did CrossFit throughout their pregnancies. Obviously, certain movements were a no-go and they reduced their intensity, but they just modified to whatever worked for them and their bodies.

Have you ever heard of the podcast Girls Gone WOD? Aside from being HILARIOUS, one of the hosts just had a baby a few months ago, and worked out all through her pregnancy. She is also a CFL1, and had a lot of good recommendations about modifying movements and WODs for pregnancy. They've talked a lot over the last year about CrossFitting while pregnant, and gave a lot of advice, recommendations, etc. It had a lot of good info, and is also really entertaining to listen to.

@teamginger13 happy to hear about RE and your new plan! I always keep my fingers crossed for you!

@writeress without BBT it is impossible to tell for sure :( I didn't temp my first cycle until half way through, but once I started I was so much more relaxed, felt good to have the data to know. FX you O'ed anyway!

@nwegman7878 I bought the cheap wondfo OPKs because I have long weird cycles so I needed a lot! I will probably start this cycle at like CD 11 or 12, just to be safe. I would even recommend using two a day when you get close to normal O time, I do SMU and once I get home from work, just to make sure I catch the surge.

@Megzb510 I feel you on the long weird cycle thing! I hope you O soon!

  • @Zoey1019  Yes, I use the CB adv digital OPKs and got a peak on CD11, so that could still support CD11 or 13 as O day.  I guess I should just be happy to know I likely O'd and not focus so much on which day!
  • @Lecool  so excited to have someone to talk with about this! This is the first year I registered, so we will see how it goes  Our gym does a friday night lights kind of thing for all the workouts and it takes over my friday's for the next month! Super excited. How about you?

I haven't heard of that podcast! Thanks for the rec, I will be listening in! I would be the first (crossing fingers) at our gym when it happens, so I am sure it will be an interesting experience. How long have you been doing it for?

It's funny because one of the things that keeps me positive when I get the negative HPTs is that I can still keep pushing and working towards getting stronger  Anything that keeps us positive right?

  • @Zoey1019 This is my second official open (I've technically done three, but wasn't registered for the first!) and it's my favorite time of the year. It's so much fun to make a party out of it at the gym, and it seems like people are hitting PR's all over the place and the energy is really great. I just took the course and got certified as an official judge last week, so this year I will be competing and judging, which I'm really excited about. :)

It's my favorite podcast! The hosts are so funny, and it's great to listen to normal women talking about CrossFit, rather than listening to elite athletes talk about it. It's a lot more relatable! I've been at it for about three years, although my first year was at an unaccredited gym, so it was more CrossFit inspired than actual CrossFit. It's the first fitness type thing I've ever been interested in and been able to keep up. I actually started when I was very overweight, and have lost 115 pounds since starting. I love the measured improvement. I couldn't even do a single sit up when I started.

It's definitely a good distraction from TTC. And a good way to get out frustration over the BFNs for sure.

R/R/CS:  DH went snow boarding yesterday and assured me he'd be home in time for me to go to yoga but due to inclement weather he didn't make it on time and I was p*ssed because it was the last class I could attend at the studio since I cancelled my membership to join a gym instead.  He owes me a drop in visit now - out of his pocket lol

Otherwise just really hoping I O shortly after he leaves for his trip so that our HIO this week won't be in vein, otherwise I'm out for this month.

GTKY: Do you have a fun/interesting hobby?

DH bought me a really nice DSLR camera for Christmas so I'm starting to get into photography.

I love trivia so I go to bar/pub trivia, both regular and music.

GTKY:  I show dogs as a hobby, though I haven't been to a show in several months.  I rode horses (English Pleasure) growing up, which I really miss.
