Hello everyone,

I am so happy that I discovered this community of members. It is so nice to be able to openly discuss these topics and struggles. Please forgive me I am still learning all of the abbreviations & lingo here! lol.

My husband and I have been TTC for the past two years. A little over a year into the process, I found out I had hypothyroidism and a pituitary micro adenoma (small tumor). I went to see an endocrinologist who started me on medication (synthroid & cabergoline) right away. In the meantime, my husband went and had two semen analysis appointments and it came back normal. I had an HSG done in the hospital (that was not fun), and my tubes were clear. I also had an ultrasound to make sure I had no cysts on my ovaries and that also came back normal. My doctor said it was a good thing we did not conceive because my thyroid was so under active it would not of been able to support a healthy pregnancy. I have never been pregnant before so of course I had thoughts of "will I ever become pregnant?" throughout the process.

Once my levels were normal, the micro adenoma disappeared, and we were healthy according to doctors. We tried for 4 months on our own with no luck. I was ovulating every month and giving it our best shot but, no luck. We saw our OBGYN today and he sent me to RMA in Danbury, CT. We have an appointment with Dr. Hurwitz on **date removed for privacy  by Goldenkey**. We are hopeful and excited for these next steps and are looking forward to possibly learning more about our "unexplained infertility" as our doctor put it. I am hoping to learn a lot from all of you during this process. I am a bit nervous, as my husband and I were hoping to be as natural as possible in conceiving, but I know we are now entering a different realm. Any advice on if anyone has seen anyone from the group would be welcomed! Thank you!
