So, this weekend at the mall I was standing in front of a pregnant girl who was with her husband in the food court. We were in line at Snappy Salads. She asked her husband if he thought it would be ok if she had a crab cake on her salad. He said no. I assumed she asked him this out of concern about the seafood. Although out of my character, I mentioned to her that I was also pregnant and that the crab cake was most likely ok b/c it was cooked. She said "oh i'm not worried about the seafood, it's the calories. He is monitoring my calories."
After talking for a few minutes she shared she was pregnant with twin boys and was 20 weeks along. Never in a million years would I have guessed it was twins. I know everyone carries different, but she was small. I'm pretty sure I would kick my husband if he told me I couldn't have a crab cake on a salad. But, perhaps there is something I don't know? Are crab cakes a really bad idea??
@LWC1112 hopefully there's something there that you don't know because I would probably cut my husband if he was counting my calories. I'm always like hey babe would you judge me if I finished off the rest of those Reese cups and he's like nah toss me one. Just no. I'll eat what I wany(within reason) when I want.
@LWC1112Unless she was over weight or has another health issue she really doesn't need to be that concerned with calories! I'm pregnant with twins and am supposed to aim for close to 2000+ calories (my normal daily allowance that I tend to stick to is 1500). I doubt a crab cake is going to hurt that! That poor girl...
My fur baby is obsessed with my growing bump. I finally popped overnight and he's been climbing up on my chest then laying his body on my bump. He'd just lie there and sleep on it for good hour or two since the last two days. It's the strangest thing but I'm not complaining because he's keeping me warm!
Had my NT scan today and everything looked good for baby. I was hoping we would find out the sex but we have a stubborn one. I guess I'll have to wait until next month. Will be the longest 5 weeks everrr!

Small celebration is in order! We just heard from our first choice daycare, and the ONE spot they are predicting to have between now and August (another August baby is aging out) is ours, and we can start early Nov!!!
I got to hear the baby's heartbeat at my doctors appointment yesterday but it took him a minute to find it. The baby is hanging out kinda low so I was laying there holding my breath waiting and then I finally heard that glorious sound. It was quiet but it was there and going strong! Thank ya Jesus!
