Re: TWW testing week February 22nd

  • Ladies - Is anyone else having any cramping? The last two days I have had what feels like AF cramping coming on, and today it is definitely worse. I think now it is up higher than usual but I don't know if it's just my imagination! Anyone experiencing something similar?

  • @sassysd7 - What was your paper for? Are you in school currently?

@emgem819 - I love crime thriller. Have you read the girl on the train? I read that one recently and loved it!

@wenikilina - I've been having cramping. I also had some brownish discharge yesterday at 1dpiui. My RE said I might have that though from the procedure, but I was expecting it right after the IUI, not the next day. It was brief though so I'm trying not to think too much of it.

  • @wenikilina I had some cramping right after the procedure and off and on for 2 days post transfer as well. It's pretty much gone today. I hope it's a good sign! Browsing through the boards - it looks like some people had lots of AF symptoms after IVF so it might be pretty normal? FX!

  • @wifeinraleigh28 lol about "vaginal probing". Does your DH shy away from having anything done to him (like a simple blood draw from the elbow), yet doesn't mind that 4-8 times a month someone is all up in your lady business? Mine complained (and still does!) about having 1 (1!!) vial of blood taken for std testings, and I'm just like "dude, I've had blood drawn like 100 times, I have no sympathy for you!!"

I'm still waiting on a call from my embryology lab with instructions for tomorrow. I assumed they would call early as my clinic isn't open for the rest of today, but I guess they need someone there 24/7 to babysit (lol) the embies.

I hope everyone has a nice relaxing week planned before the madness starts!

  • I can test on 2/27. I don't even like going in for the beta anymore just to wait to get bad news. Did anyone ever have a triple lining but it be thin? They did say my number, so now I'm worried.
  • I had my FET this morning so I am officially (10 day) waiting. I go in for a hormone check on Sunday then beta on the 26th!

@kwolf002 I totally get not liking getting the beta done. I was super nervous last time because I broke and did a poas test the day before and it was negative so I knew the beta would most likely be negative too. I've had so many negative betas that I don't even get excited at all. I had a trilaminar lining last time that got to 7.9 before I started PIO. My clinic likes to see between 8 and 10.

  • @kwolf002 my lining was thin with trilaminar lining too.. 7.9 on Estrace 2mg three times a day, they bumped me up to taking it three times a day by mouth and then twice a day vaginally. This got it to 8.9 (my RE won't transfer until it's >8)

@wenikilina are you still cramping? Mine started up again right after I posted (spoke too soon!) so now I get occasional cramping and a lot of just odd twinges. Most likely all these dang hormones but still. It's driving me crazy! Don't think I'll make it to beta without POAS  :D

  • @sassysd7 Thank you, I sure hope it is!! Congrats on your test being darker today! That must be semi-exciting!

    @wifeinraleigh28 Thank you!!

@kwolf002 It seems weird that they would tell you no supplements. If your body can't produce enough lining on its own that doesnt guarantee an unhealthy pregnancy. Maybe you should look for a different clinic?

  • Add us to the cramping. Today we are on day10 and have had cramping and twinges for four days. This is much longer than the several times we had our CPs. With our CPs she only cramped for 1 maybe 2 days. We transferred two gorgeous day 3 embryos (one 8 cell and one 10-12 cell) last Wednesday. It's hard to believe the cramping is due to the ET at this point. DW is on lots of meds and her progesterone is at 26 and estrogen is at 1833. We'll POAS Friday morning.

We are pretty nervous. We've never been pregnant and it's so hard to mentally wrap our minds around it actually happening.

  • @AandDM2014

We are trying to determine when we want to POAS. The idea of bailing on the beta, never testing and just seeing if a baby shows in the Fall has been discussed but tossed out. We want to keep the hope alive but honestly a four month late implantation seems too funny. Our beta is scheduled for Monday and we want to know what to expect.

Nausa, fatigue, sore breasts and bloating are all thanks to high progesterone which is great but doesn't equal a BFP unfortunately. My wife always has those. Cramping is different and other then the areolas changing color I haven't been able to find much else but pregnancy that makes these happen. Obviously, a period can but we aren't close to that timeframe and her hormones are way too high. There is a chance that the progesterone could be just preparing the uterus of course and it leading to cramping.

  • @sassysd7 That has happened to us. Missed the blank trigger test and test got darker. We had a CP every time but hopefully it's good news for you. As long as you are testing the same time of day and aren't changing your hydration drastically than the trigger doesn't usually go up.

  • @wifeinraleigh28 Today I am 6dp5dt and still dark/positive! I am holding my breath though until Monday!

@Cmartin6706 Yay good to know that it is possible. I have been testing at the same time with little hydration change. It has gotten darker today so I am cautiously happy!  I can’t wait until my beta Monday! I can’t wait to hear your wife’s results from POAS! Good luck!

@pugmama915 it is addicting POAS  but I only do it once daily in the am around 5.

@wenikilina any update? I hope you got your BFP today!

How is everyone doing in the TWW? I have been doing lots of HW to keep me busy.

  • @pugmama915 I started with wonfo until it looked a bit darker. Then in the afternoon of my 4dp5dt I took a first response and have been doing those ever since. So 3 strong positives so far!

@wenikilina they need to get a move on ASAP!

Update: I just had the most terrible episode. I got really hot,  broke out in a sweat,  thought I was going to faint,  and had severe pain behind my belly button.  I ate a salad with egg and meat then  drank gatorade  and took my daily prenatal and stool softener. It was the worst pain of my life! Idk what just happened. I took a shower and have taken my progesterone and am laying down now.  Very scary!

  • @sassysd7 I'm so sorry about your episode...that sounds really awful and scary.  I hope it passes soon and you are able to get through it ok.  Could it have been a side effect of a medicine or something you ate?

  • Oh no, @sassysd7 I hope you feel better now and that this doesn't happen again!  I'm so excited for you that this could be a real BFP!

I've been feeling really crampy and tired the last couple of days.  I've actually been sleeping much harder and for longer than I usually do, and having a difficult time getting up in the morning (and I am a morning person).  Not sure if this is normal or not, but I'm assuming it's because I put my body through a lot the last couple weeks with all those injections and of course the IUI itself, and now those progesterone suppositories.  I probably need all that rest.  I've also just been feeling a lot of pressure in my abdomen, with occasional sharp pains.

The TWW is going okay for me other than that.  I feel strangely at peace, but not because I feel like the IUI worked.  In fact I'm expecting that it didn't.  But I just feel at peace.  I'm hopeful, but I'm aware that there's nothing I can do about it either way.  I also don't plan on POAS until 14dpiui, which is an agreement that DH and I made shortly after we started TTC.  No testing out the trigger for me, just waiting until the day that we know we can trust the results and trying to not to think too hard about it otherwise.  There have been days I've been tempted though!

  • @wifeinraleigh28 I test 2/26 so we will know right around the same time!  I'm trying to stay busy to distract myself...going away this weekend to Boston.  No symptoms except what you describe as "heavy sleeping" where it's hard for me to wake up in the morning, more than it ever was.  GL in this last week...you can do it!
