Nature's Bond Pure Breast Pump - Anyone tried this one?

I have a great Medela pump at home that I got from insurance the first time around.

Insurance will cover another pump for baby #2.  I am going to get a second because it will be nice to have one at work and one at home, as well as a backup in case one dies.

They both are electric, double pumps.  I already have the hands free belt thing at home.  I am honestly looking into it because it comes with the most accessories.

Has anyone used the Nature's Bond Pure Breast Pump and can give any pros or cons?

  • I'm getting a new pump this time around too and am going with a different brand then I had last time. I just went to multiple websites and read reviews and googled the pump name with "reviews" at the end and that helped me make my decision!

@NicknShan i also just noticed today that this pump is covered by my insurance and comes with the most 'gear'. I'm a FTM though and know nothing. The amazon reviews are not promising, sadly:

  • As a FTM I have no personal experience. However, I used to work as a mother/baby nurse and I remember the lactation consultants on my floor always said that Medela was by far the best brand. So for me, that's what I'm going for!

  • Uffda. Those reviews are terrible. The only good ones are the ones where they got the pump for free exchange for their review :-/
  • @MamaNicoleof3 I have heard really great things about the Spectra, if you're looking for something different.  Mainly that it's comparable to the Madela but quieter. I'm still on the fence as a FTM, but reviews look good.

  • @SweetMamaJune I think we get the nicest Medela available through our insurance. I'm pretty psyched :) with our last two (6 and 8 years ago), I had an okay pump, and they wouldn't take bottles anyway, so I'm super pumped (no pun intended) to have a nice one! And I'm bound and determined for this LO to take an ocassional bottle!

I just received my spectra s2 hospital grade pump that was 100% covered by insurance. Everyone I know has the medela PIS and highly recommended it. I did a LOT of research on the few brands that my insurance covered and settled on the spectra because it has a let down mode, is less likely to pinch than the medela, and feels most natural to breastfeeding. A lot of reviews were from moms who had previously used the medela and said they were able to pump more milk with the spectra. As a FTM, I wanted the easiest most comfortable pump that my insurance would cover.
