Different symptoms than previous pregnancies...possibly different gender?

Hey all!
I'm almost 12 weeks with my 3rd, and so far this one has been totally opposite! My first 2 were boys and I rarely ever had nausea, I was hungry alot, more tired with 2nd, but overall super easy pregnancies! The 2nd one, I did show sooner and was overall more uncomfortable...gain 30lbs with both. This time around, I was nauseous very early on (3wks) and it has come and gone ever since, especially if I'm hungry. I've had almost daily mild headaches this time and nothing helps them. Started showing super early and at almost 12wks, I look almost 20wks! It's insane! I've also gain like 7lbs already! I feel so much worse this time and I don't know if it may mean it's a girl or why else it would be so different from my boys! Anyone have a similar experience? How did it turn out or are you dealing with it now as well? Thanks!

  • All pregnancies are different regardless of which sex you will be having. My OB said you "show" quicker the more pregnancies you have because everything is already stretched and moves up easier than before. I had some sort of nausea with all 4 of my pregnancies so far and i have 2 girls, one boy, and this baby. My two pregnancies with my girls were not very much alike at all.

  • I also have 2 boys, super easy pregnancies and no nausea, this pregnancy has been exactly the same, and it's a girl. I was so convinced it was a boy because of it. Every pregnancy is different. So it's hard to judge by symptoms! Bet you can't wait to find out. :)
  • I'm having a similar experience. I have two girls and had very similar pregnancies which included lots of nausea well past the first tri. I'm currently pregnant with number three and having completely different pregnancy symptoms. I'm thinking this is a boy!
  • My first was a girl and like no symptoms aside from minor break outs and overly tired...like falling asleep sitting up. My current pregnancy is EXACTLY as you're describing...sick from three weeks til 14 consistently, haven't been since Saturday though...almost 16 now. Fingers crossed!!!

  • I'm feeling more nausea this time around I think, but DH says I appear about the same as when I was preggo with DS. Oh well, only time will tell!

My MIL swore her second pregnancy was a girl because it was a polar opposite experience than her first. She was wrong. Every pregnancy is unique, and while it's possible you're having a girl, it could just be different for no reason at all.
  • Symptoms don't correlate with sex of the baby. This pregnancy is totally different than with DS and it's another boy. My mom said her pregnancies with me and my brother were identical.

  • I'm preg with my 5th son and every single son has been completely diff. So, yes- still a 50/50 chance, regardless of symptoms
  • I guess it just makes me wonder more since the first 2 were so similar, why be so different now? I know that they're all a little different, I was just curious. Thanks!
  • With my 1st DS my pregnancy was bliss. My second was misery lol and I thought oh maybe a girl but nope another boy . Every pregnancy is different. This one has been both bad and good.
