Re: WTO Thursday

  • @babymish - Yay for no performance anxiety! Also, enjoy the acu appt. I have my first one in a week!
@sldp123 - GL with your u/s tomorrow! I hope those follies are growing!
@ash9614 - I hear ya on those hot flashes! DH will put his hands on me to cool me down. I've slept with no covers all week. It's been -10* here and I'm always cold.
@beary67 - yes! DH and I watched last week and then after we were like, wait, why did we watch this? Why didn't we DVR the whole thing so we could binge it all at once! Now we have to wait a week til the next one? What?! First world problems, I know...
@Sparty18 - I couldn't agree more, let's get this WTO business done with and on to the TWW.

    Month/Cycle: 14/10

    CD: 7

    WAYDTGKU: 7.5mg Letrozole, IUI

R/R/CS: I've got nothing...actually now I have something. I got an email from a coworker at 8:00 this morning asking me if I could do some calculations. These are huge calculations and take a lot of time. He emailed me again at 8:30 asking if I could just send him an example and he'll do it himself. I went off on him. I actually told him "it's only been half an hour. please have some patience." Like WTF dude?! You think your problem is the only one I have to deal with today? Umm no it's not! I have 30 sites that need my help, not just you. So rude and annoying.

GTKY:  what's your pet peeve? I'm on the loud chewing/noises train. I cannot stand it when people chew with their mouths open or breathe loudly or constantly clear their throat. Ugh. Misophonia to a T. And people like the guy in my rant above.

@beary67 I was going to record that show but my TV guide didn't find it for whatever reason.  Glad to hear that it's really good; I'm going to have to go to the FX channel for sure and find it now.

  • @beary67   That is crazy!  I'm excited to watch it.  Although, part of me still sees that picture and thinks, why so serious, Ross??
  • @michmich11 the actual time of the temping has never made a difference for me - as long as i'm using a temp from a time when i've been asleep for at least 3 hours beforehand.  I temp at a different time every night because of this (i have FF set up to just assume i always temp at the same time so i don't have open circles everywhere).  It never affected my ability to pinpoint O when TTC#1 and it seems to be the same for me now.  You probably just have to do it a few ways before you know what will work best for you.  Basically what you're looking for is your baseline temp - so the lowest temp you'll get that day.  If i wake up multiple times during the night, i temp all of them and then keep the lowest one, just to be safe.

    Month/Cycle: 2 (NTNP)

    CD: 13

WAYDTGKU: normal NTNP stuff plus temping.

R/R/CS: i don't have much today.  Temp went down to its normal "week before O" level this morning, which is about right seeing as i usually O sometimes between CD 19 and 22.

GTKY:  what's your pet peeve? people that don't use their blinkers (or that don't turn them on until THE LAST SECOND.  OTHER DRIVERS AND PEDESTRIANS NEED TO KNOW THESE THINGS IN ADVANCE, JACKASSES.)

  • @ShallowSeas ahhh!!  Your driving pet peeve is one of mine too!  I get so passive aggressive when that happens and sometimes pretend like I don't see the person trying to merge over.  Ooops!   ;)  It happens every day where I work to get on the highway--the left lane is always sooo backed up so people that don't want to wait in that line will just speed ahead and cut in front of everyone else and then try to merge into the left lane at the last minute.

Also, I wonder if taking letrozole impacts your ovulation date/OPKs?  I know nothing about that medication, so it's just a thought!

I'm the same way! I pretend I don't see them either.

I've been trying to research the affects Letrozole could have on Ovulation but I haven't really found anything on it.  I have to call my RE whether or not I get a +OPK anyway so they can get my progesterone levels, so I'll probably ask them about it.  I don't use OPKs so I don't even know if I can turn one positive.  I have in the past but I don't use them consistently.

R/R/CS: Same exact temp 3 days in a row?! Is this normal? So strange! I thought maybe my thermometer is broken but I checked again after being up and around and the temp definitely changed. Glad to hear some other ladies talking about having very little CM. Maybe it is from PNVs? I always have plenty after I O, but checking it before O is frustrating. Just don't feel like I know what's going on down there. Chart stalkers welcome and looking for feedback!

GTKY:  what's your pet peeve? Oh where to begin! I'm convinced I have that Misophonia - "hatred of sound". It's all the little things...people eating (especially if they are smackers), toenail clippers, picking nails, I used to get mad at my sister for blinking! I could honestly hear her eyelids opening and closing. Hearing my dad scratch his head, ugh! So ridiculous, I know. Gotta stop now before I get upset just thinking about it!
  • @beary67 when TTC #1 my RE told me not to bother with OPKs because letrozole and other fertility meds can mess with them, but I have seen some people on here have had there REs recommend using them. I guess that doesn't really answer your question... But I don't think using them hurts things as long as you understand that you may see more surges. I think this is one of the many reasons why it's important to be monitored while taking fertility meds.

R/R/CS:  Ugh.  I woke up feeling amazing and posted in TWW about a temp spike, and then AF showed up.  CD1 this cycle means that the travel and moving and craziness is behind us, and entering cycle 6 has prompted me to order a new thermometer as well as fork over for CBFM test strips.  The monitor was given to me as a gift and my SIL swears by it so I will at least try it this cycle, at the same time as temping/OPKs/CM/etc.  I'm still side-eyeing it and not really expecting it to tell me anything I can't learn from what I'm already doing (or get me KTFU outside of what I'd be doing without it) but it's not much extra effort.  And also the real truth is I'm not above thinking of it as a good luck charm.  *Face-palm* me.

  • @beary67 We just watched the second episode last night.  I was 9 when all this was happening and I have vague memories of it (like the low-speed highway chase), so it's pretty interesting to watch it now.  And I didn't realize that the Kardashians were so involved in it!

  • @Hayrock- Ok, I have to admit I'm so glad it's not just me LOL.  I just started temping this morning and I guess It was heavy on my mind because I spent the night having strange dreams about temping and  not writing it down and then being confused about what temp went with what date etc etc.  It was so strange and when I finally woke up I realized it was all just a bunch of strange dreams and then proceeded to taking my temp and log it in FF <sigh>

  • @RatParade same here!  I had just turned 10 and remember seeing the coverage on TV of the chase.  It's crazy to watch it again now.  I think they are doing a good job with the show.  I kind of wish I could just binge watch it all at once!  I did read an article that the Kardashians were upset with how they were portrayed in the scene where Robert was reading the letter OJ wrote on TV--and saying that never happened.

    WAYDTGKU: all the things

R/R/CS: looks like EPO delayed my O day...didn't even know that was possible until too far into taking it (ugh, bad nurse, not researching side effects better). So now I'm sitting at CD 14 without having turned an OPK yet, despite usually turning them day 12 or 13. It's just shy of positive this afternoon, so I may take another this evening to see what happens. I'm also on nights the next two days, so no temping for me tomorrow or Saturday since I get false high temps when I sleep through the day and wake in the afternoon.

Is is there any point in bringing my bbt to work and taking my temp at my usual time? I nap from 4-6 on nights and 6 is my usual temp time. It'll only be 2 hours of sleep though so I don't know....

    GTKY:  what's your pet peeve?

People walking slowly and taking up the whole sidewalk or who stand in the middle of a hall/walkway and take up the whole space. I just want to scream.

I also agree with everyone who hates people who fail to merge or drive slowly in the passing lane. Ugh!

And grammar issues...I hate people who misuse homonyms. DH does it all the time when he's texting out of sheer laziness (and probably when he wants to bother me lol).

@michmich11 - I'd set your alarm for an earlier time to temp if you find the hour or so makes a big difference. I temp at 5am on work days and 6am on off days (and not at all on nights). It makes for a rocky chart sometimes but with tracking everything else I still get a pretty confident O date. As for pnvs I take Materna or Jaimeson (whatever is on sale).

R/R/CS:this cycle BD has come pretty easily for us, which is nice because before TTC our BD could be sporadic. DH is usually a 1-2 a week guy but we've been enjoying (?) TTC in that one respect. My OPK was way darker today than the past few days so FX O happens in the next day or so. My cycle is usually 27 days, so that would give me 11 days or maybe longer if B6 actually works.

@TheRealVeronicaSawyer no trigger.  Was there Monday & yesterday for US and labs.  Follies were 22mm, 19.5mm, 19mm and a 14.5mm one yesterday.  LH was 13 or something Monday and then in the surge yesterday.  They didn't say the value.  Today at least the big 3 were confirmed ruptured.  Not sure about the little one.   Hopefully the egg was waiting happily and had some hours left in it!

@sldp123 Thanks!!  The whole RE thing is so tiring.
