    Month/Cycle: 8/8

    CD: 4

WAYDTGKU: Waiting for AF to end, then BBT, HIO EOD

R/R/CS: Haven't been on TB in a while--actually just took a 2 month break from charting as well because it was making me a little nuts. But on one of those cycles I must have O'd earlier than usual and on the other later than usual. This last cycle was killer because I hadn't had a cycle that long and didn't know when I had O'd so was POAS like crazy and was super confused/overwhelmed. So now I'm back (at least for now). And I've got two questions for you ladies:

    1. I know consistency is pretty important when temping and I really haven't gotten it down. I often wake up to go to the bathroom an hour or two before my alarm. I had been taking my temperature at that point (sometime between 5 and 6:30 am) but the time would vary night to night and if I didn't wake up before my alarm I would temp around 6:45-7:00. So my question is, would it be better to temp at the same time (but after having gotten up and going back to sleep) or different times but always after a solid amount of sleep? Or am I being crazy and it doesn't actually matter that much?

    2. I've been having terrible dry eyes for a while and am pretty certain I've finally figured out the cause--my prenatal vitamins (Nature Made Multi Prenatal). Has this happened to anyone else???? I've googled prenatal vitamins and dry eyes but can't seem to find a link. Either way I'm going to try switching brands. Anyone have any recommendations?

GTKY:  what's your pet peeve? Hmm I have a bunch to be honest but I'll go with spelling, especially they're/their/there.

    Month/Cycle: 2/1 TTCAL

    CD: 32

    WAYDTGKU: All the things.

R/R/CS: I'm sorry to be such a broken record, but I thank you guys so much for your support. Yesterday morning was a rough TTCAL morning. A friend from college announced her pregnancy, complete with u/s picture and gender reveal, on FB. It hit hard because her EDD is close to what mine was and, well, she's kind of a brat who never in more than ten years has wanted kids. Then later in the day a neighbor who I don't know messaged me for daycare recommendations, stating her baby is due in 4 months. She was super sweet, and I know she meant nothing by it, but ouch all around. I've also been have weird cramping that I haven't had before, and I'm wondered if it is cysts from my PCOS? I'm contemplating emailing my doc (who is super responsive over email) even though it's probably nothing, just because I'm so on edge right now about all this. I would feel a lot better if I had any signs of O.

GTKY: I have a lot of pet peeves, but at the top of the list is when people say "nuculer" instead of "nuclear" or "heighth" instead of "height."

WAYDTGKU: Still waiting for AF to GTFO

R/R/CS: Just realized DH will be gone at the beginning of my FW, and on a weekend trip I REALLY want to go on. So I'm missing out on baby making and a fun time, because my brother and SIL are having their gender reveal party. Thanks, world.

GTKY: Eating noises. Having to eat, or be around someone eating, while in a quiet room is like torture to me.

@michmich11 in answer to q1: it's better to temp at the same time every day so I'd suggest setting an alarm for 6:45/7 am. Personally my temps go up massively a couple of hours after my usual time.

Q2: it's funny you should say that about your PNVS as I suspect mine are drying up my cm. If I switch to plain old folic acid it comes back! I'm going to switch to just folic acid until I look into this as I'm approach O.

WAYDTGKU: cm pnv bbt preseed OPKs HIO ED?

R/R/CS: I was so annoyed cuz I'm in the FW part of the month and my BBT thermometer disappeared on CD 18. It fell somewhere deep behind my bedside table so I couldn't temp that day. I didn't find it til later that night. So it just made me so annoyed that when I really need the temp data, I missed a day. I am hoping I'm gearing up to O now cuz I got some EWCM yesterday. I've been testing with wondfos and CB advanced OPKs every day. I am hoping to turn one of those but nothing yet. DH works afternoon so I just sucked it up and HIO at 230am cuz right now all I have is CM info to go off of and I just want good timing. I want to know I tried everything I could do for this cycle. Keeping up the 230am HIO ED will suck so FX I turn an OPK and can have more confirmation of O coming. I wish sooo badly that I had a "standard" 28 day cycle just for timing.

GTKY:  what's your pet peeve? I have a few. I hate when people stand over me when I'm sitting. I dislike people who post ignorant and racist political things on Facebook. I also love cold milk and hate when people cook with milk and leave the milk out for 30 minutes.  Yuck!

  • @babymish interesting about your experience with PNVS! I think I may copy you and stick with folic acid for a bit. Let me know what you find out in your research.

Regarding the temping, you think it's ok if I get up at 5:30/6:00 to go to the bathroom, sleep for an hour or so and THEN temp? I remember reading you have to sleep for 3 consecutive hours before temping which is why I'm a bit confused. Thanks!
  • @cjt121413 Sorry you're having such a tough week  :(

    WAYDTGKU: BBT, PNV, OPK, BD

R/R/CS: I was exhausted last night and told DH I wanted to skip BD in favor of sleep. Then I POAS and got a positive OPK! Time to HIO, here's hoping my BBT will confirm.

GTKY:  what's your pet peeve? I agree with @GreatGigInTheWombI especially hate eating sounds when I'm on the phone with the offender. Just wait a minute and talk to me, or call me back later when you're done.

  • Month/Cycle:  3/2
    CD: 8

WAYDTGKU: starting to use opks today since I have no clue what my cycle will do after the 77 day one last time

R/R/CS: today was one of those mornings I wish DH could do his business in a little cup and just pour it up in me. We aren't morning people and nights we're always tired from a long day.

GTKY: I HATE when people take gum out of their mouth and save it on a cup or plate while they eat. Makes me gag every time.
  • ** Question in R/R/CS**

    Month/Cycle:  1/1 (of actively trying/timing. 6/5 off BCP)

    CD: 23

WAYDTGKU:  OPKs, Temping (starting next cycle), EOD during FW (estimated by FF right now, hoping to narrow that down in the next few months), CM checks, etc.

R/R/CS:  So yesterday I finally got a positive OPK at 12:30 pm and a second positive at 5:30 pm. This morning I test again at 6:00 am and got a positive. I will retest again around 12:30 pm today. From what I’ve read on FF, you should keep testing with OPKs until you get two negatives. If you get more than one positive test, the last one means you have actually ovulated. Given this information, I don’t believe I’ve actually O yet, but hopefully will today –thus I posted in the WTO thread. If I should have just moved to the TWW thread, I apologize.

Question: Once you get a positive OPK, you typically O within 12 to 48 hours (with the average being 36) and the egg is viable for 12-24 hours. So, my question is really one of BD timing. I was under the impression you should BD the day of the positive OPK and the following 2-3 days. Is this right or am I totally off? And should I start counting from yesterday’s positive OPK? I may just be over thinking this….

GTKY:  what's your pet peeve?  Smackers. Someone who makes a lot of mouth noises and sounds no matter if they are chewing gum, eating food, etc. Can’t stand it. Not sure why, but it has always bothered me since I was young. Close your mouth and chew quietly please.

WAYDTGKU: All the things.  First cycle on Letrozole.

R/R/CS: I'm a little concerned that I haven't turned an OPK positive this cycle...I usually O on CD12 or 13, so I thought I'd have a positive this morning...or at least an 'almost' positive...but no such luck, just a very faint line :\

GTKY:  what's your pet peeve? I have a million. One that I deal with on a daily basis is when people don't realize they're in an exit lane or a "lane ends" lane on the interstate and then hurry and try to cut over. Like, you've had a mile or two of warning signs...figure it out.  I also can't stand when people interrupt other people while talking or try to talk over people. I deal with that on a daily basis too  :|

GTKY:  what's your pet peeve? I have several, but the first that comes to mind is when people use the word "vagina" to refer to the whole of the female genitals. It bothers me a lot when kids do it, like I see what the parent is trying to do, using the scientific language and all, but it's not ALL the vagina!
  • @BelcherEars I just started so I may be wrong, but yes plan is once I turn an OPK positive BD that day and (ideally) everyday until it's negative. I've seen some people have positives for 4 days or so depending on the brand.

GTKY:  what's your pet peeve? Mine is when I'm on the phone with someone and they start talking to someone else in the room. Now I'm all riled up before my commute, lol.
  • @CJT121413 I’m sorry you are having a hard time. I can’t imagine what you’re going through, but I’m sure it sucks. Internet hugs your way.

@greatgiginthewomb looks like we have the same GTKY peeve! When DH and I were dating, if we grabbed something through a drive thru, I would make him turn the radio on while we ate. Couldn’t stand hear him eat. It’s not that he is necessarily a loud chewer, but if you’re sitting in a quiet car, you can hear everything and it would drive me up the walls. Thankfully he didn’t take it personal.

@e=mc21 Thanks! I tried to read up about it on FF and other sites, but some of their “facts” vary.

R/R/CS: This is the first CD 1 that is really bringing me down. I know this sounds silly, but I wanted to be one of those couples who had a baby before their first anniversary. If we conceive this month, our baby will be sometime after - I really know this isn't a big deal, and when I get KTFU I will be so ecstatic no matter when I'm due, it's just PMSy me being sad and silly while I wait for DH to get off shift so I can tell him it wasn't this month for us.

    GTKY:  what's your pet peeve?
You know, I have a few. I'm a little mean, apparently. I think the thing that gets me riled that is really an innocent thing is when people have multiple noisemakers on. You don't need the TV on while you watch a video on your phone and have a loud conversation! One noise maker at a time!!

@michmich11 - set an alarm for the earliest time you are usually getting up, and temp at that time. I do occasionally temp earlier if I wake up near that time.

@e=mc21 - Omg ew ew ew. I've never seen anyone save their gum before, that is so gross.

@DiFazette - Ahhhh I love small children rec sports! I never played because my parents weren't into it, but they flipped their ways with my sister so I used to go to all of her games when she was a kid. I love nonprofessional sports!

@michmich11 I would set my alarm for 5AM and temp every day at that time then just go back to sleep. That is what I do for exactly the same reason.

@lcsrva (I'm answering here from yesterday), green tea supposedly helps increase CM but I started drinking it more because of its other health benefits. I have also read though that green tea (and black tea as well) could diminish the absorption of folic acid so I try to space apart tea and prenatals (I take my prenatals in the morning, drink tea at night) and I don't drink more than one cup a day. The other thing I read around here is that it could negative affect implantation and you should stop drinking it after ovulation.

    Month/Cycle: 4/3

    CD: 23

    WAYDTGKU: all the stuff

R/R/CS: so I spent all night questioning dr Google with nothing but things to make me worried lol. I had my positive opk yesterday morning (first month for OPKs) and negative today. I felt some cramping yesterday and I though "ok that makes sense if I'm ovulating or about to"... Well then I checked my chart last cycle and around the same time I had caramels as well (although I do remember them actually being worse, longer and I was just overall bloated). I know this will all be solved with a few more days of temping to see if I O or not but my *question* is - for those of you that experience multiple LH surges per cycle, does it usually happen around the same time every cycle? I'm wondering if maybe my body tries to O around this time and it doesn't happen, or possibly last month that happened but not this month idk yet.

Also, Dr Google said that if you experience LH surges without ovulation it is cause for concern - but I've heard tons of people on here say that happens to them so I don't buy it. If anyone has any input on that I'd love to hear it as well!

    GTKY:  what's your pet peeve?
Chewing loudly or with your mouth open, and also people who can't sit still :)
  • @Sparty18 Wow, that is interesting. I didn’t know that was an actual thing!

@cjt121413 I'm sorry about your friend. I completely understand where you are coming from. *hugs*

    Month/Cycle: 5/5

    CD: 12

WAYDTGKU: Just PNV BD EOD this cycle... I may do a few OPKs but I'm trying not to pressure myself too much

R/R/CS: just trying to relax this cycle. I actually feel great after DH and Is talk. I know it will all work out eventually

    GTKY:  what's your pet peeve?

Poor grammar. I have honesty deleted people from fb for their common missuse of proper vocabulary.
Daily selfies.... You look the same as yesterday.
People that talk down to others. Especially in a condescending way..
and lastly.. When people shhh me.. Ahh drives me crazy lol

  • Month/Cycle: 1/1 TTCAL

    CD: 5

WAYDTGKU: AF has almost left the building. Then everything.

R/R/CS: Just waiting for this week to be over. Getting familiar with FF again and my Wondofo OPKs and HPT test strips came in. Nothing overly exciting.

GTKY:  what's your pet peeve? I cannot stand the sound or feeling of styrofoam. Just opening packaging with it makes me cringe.

  • Month/Cycle:  5/3

    CD:  6

    WAYDTGKU:  PNV, Metformin, sex, temping

R/R/CS:  Finally almost have everything out of the old house so my husband and I went out to dinner to relax and it was very delicious and nice!  Now I just need to get through today and tomorrow at work without losing my mind!

GTKY:  I agree with many of the previously stated ones, but I'll add that I hate when people take personal credit for an entire group's work.  I have a coworker that always says that HE did something when he never put his hands on the project, he was simply in a group that worked on said project TOGETHER.  Also, this coworker is a masogonistic a**hole so that doesn't help...

  • @beary67  I had no idea David Schwimmer was on that show - now I must check it out!
  • Month/Cycle: 7/5

    CD: 16

    WAYDTGKU: pnv, temping, opk

R/R/CS:  started feeling crappy last night and when I woke up and finally got a positive OPK I realized oh how fun, I've got the flu. Still no o confirmed from temping but I feel like that's out the window because I had a 99.89 "fever" when I temped this morning because I'm sick, no idea how that will work with FF confirming O.    Hopefully it will be -2, -1 and there are super sperm around this month

GTKY:  what's your pet peeve? When people ask a question and then argue with your answer or tell you you're wrong.  Um okay, don't ask me then!
  • @anj27 that's interesting about the green tea, thanks for sharing that. I drink it everyday but sounds like I need to take a little break after ovulation this time around...

  • Month/Cycle: 3/3

    CD: 13

    WAYDTGKU: All the things

R/R/CS: I just feel like giving up temping this cycle.  My sleep has been off and I keep getting weird high temps (it's my fault, I had some wine the nights before some of them).  I had a few pretty cycles and got used to it I guess.  This cycle has me like

I guess I'm glad I'm also using OPKs and CM this cycle to track.

GTKY:  what's your pet peeve?  People who talk during movies.  The last thing we saw was a horror movie and some people brought their baby that fussed through the second half of the movie and they weren't thoughtful enough to take the baby out of the theater.  Everyone was staring at them but no one said anything.  I still don't know what we should have done in that situation, because I didn't want to create an issue during the movie for others.  I guess my bigger issue is when people are rude and thoughtless to others.

  • I agree with y'all on all of your pet peeves. I am a neurotic woman.

    Month/Cycle: 7/6

    CD: 13

    WAYDTGKU: PNV, BBT, checking CM

R/R/CS: just waiting for go time. Hopefully it'll be here soon!

GTKY:  what's your pet peeve? SO. MANY. THINGS. When people stand right next to you when looking at a clothes rack. Bad grammar. People who chomp and pop their gum. People who don't use turn signals, and don't do a friendly wave when you let them out in traffic or let them cross the street or whatever. People who post vague Facebook posts like "Prayers plz," or "You know what you did."
