ETA: I actually don't belong on this thread, I apologize.
2. How far along are you? 5w2d 3. Next milestone you're looking forward to? My first ultrasound in a few weeks. 4. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: My boobs are so sore but they are a little bigger (like they are right before I start my period) and they look nice so that's a plus. I haven't been sick yet and I'm so thankful for that but I do feel a little nauseated every now and then. 5. GTKY: Have you bought anything for baby yet? DH and I bought a lamb stuffed animal for the baby on Saturday. It is so soft and so cute.
3. Next milestone you're looking forward to? My appt next @ednesday.
4. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: The symptoms are in full force this week which I knew they would be...my worse weeks are always 6-8...just two weeks I can do this!
5. GTKY: Have you bought anything for baby yet? No and I probably won't till we find out the sex since this is my second baby!
1. Introduce yourself if this is your first PGAL check in.
Hi! I am glad this thread exists. I am not exactly sure what to say as far as an introduction. DH and I have been TTC #1 on and off (mostly on) for the last 5 years. We had a m/c around when we first started trying and had not been able to get pregnant since. I randomly decided to take an hpt on the day I was supposed to begin birth control to start IVF. It was positive. Of course, we are both super excited, but we are also very nervous given our history. We both work full-time. I am a psychologist, DH is in construction.
2. How far along are you?
Not exactly sure, but guessing 5w1d.
3. Next milestone you're looking forward to?
Ultrasound on Feb 19!
4. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes:
I AM EXHAUSTED!!
5. GTKY: Have you bought anything for baby yet?
No, and to be honest, I probably won't for a while. I am not letting myself get "attached" yet. I know that's probably bad. I think I am going to tell my sister in two weeks when I am in town for my nephew's 2nd birthday. I am thinking of buying him a shirt that says "I'm the big cousin." I guess that's not really for the baby, but it's a big step for me.
*Loss & bfp mentioned*
me 28 (Lean PCOS, hypothyroid) dh 33 TTC #1 since early 2011 May 2011- natural pregnancy (metformin only); m/c @ 9 weeks + D&C July 2011- lap to remove dermoid cyst August 2012-current- 9 rounds of Clomid, 1 cycle of Femara, several cycles of soy isos, 1 IUI, O'd every cycle, BFN August 2014- lap to remove uterine septum. Everything else looking good. Moving onto IVF Feb/March 2016 Just kidding. Natural bfp 1/30/16. 1st beta 2/1 = 110. 2nd beta 2/3 = 332.
First ultrasound 2/19 - one baby with a heart rate of 127! EDD 10/11/2016
1. I can't remember if I've posted before or not, but this is my 6th pregnancy. I have three kids and two angel babies.
2. I'm 6w1d, due 10/2/16
3. We made it past our first milestone, first loss was at 6 weeks. I had my hcg drawn at 5w4 days and it was 22,000. The next milestone is u/s at 9 weeks, then hope we can get to the second trimester.
4. I'm feeling more positive about this pregnancy now that I have symptoms and we've reached 6 weeks.
5. GTKY: I'm trying to save as much money as possible right now, so no baby purchases, but I've done some window shopping.
3. Next milestone you're looking forward to? I consider each new week a milestone, so I'm looking forward to making it to 6 weeks.
4. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: Is it weird that I want morning sickness? Like, any kind of reassurance that things are going as they should?
5. GTKY: Have you bought anything for baby yet? I bought a few newborn cloth diapers and DS picked out a baby toy at BRU the other day. I told him we could buy it for "a" baby, not "our" baby because he doesn't know yet.
3. Next Milestone: I just need to get to our first ultrasound already!
4. Rant: I can't tell if I'm spotting or if my eyes are playing tricks on me. If I am, it's super light in color. Trying not to freak out, as that won't really help anything. ***EDIT*** Definitely red streaky blood. Not A LOT, actually very little... just the one I couldn't tell and then once again of the numerous times I checked afterwards. Doc is sending me for an ultrasound, tests and put me on bed rest. Pretty terrified.
5. We bought a little stuffed turtle at the aquarium last week. We want to give this baby all of the excitement, but we're just so cautious.
3. Next milestone you're looking forward to? Like everyone else the doctors appointment on 2/17. I will not be able to stop holding my breath until then.
4. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: Anytime I get worried I just go look at baby stuff online. It makes it feel more real. I've showed DH some of the stuff I picked out that I know he will like.
5. GTKY: Have you bought anything for baby yet? Nope. I don't think I will until at least after we tell everyone but most likely not until after we find out the sex
1) Introduce Yourself: I can't remember if I checked in for the last one. Thanks, mommy + pregnancy brain! Just in case my name is Michi (short for Michelle). I have one DD who is now 10 months old and am crossing my fingers and praying hard for a successful pregnancy!
2. How far along are you?: 4 weeks, 6 days.
3. Next Milestone: My OB appointment next Tuesday.
4. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: I'm really happy that I'm still pregnant but I'm also riddled with anxiety. I check the toilet paper every time I pee for blood and hold my breath until I see that it's clear. But I'm trying to keep my positive vibes by flat out planning for this baby. I'm going to treat this baby as if he or she is happening for sure!
5. Have you bought anything for baby yet?: Not yet. I've looked online for things but no concrete purchases yet.
3. Next milestone you're looking forward to? I want to hit 6 weeks.
4. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: @peggyolsonFTW I totally understand and I am in
the same boat. I really want morning sickness to start to help me feel more at
ease.
5. GTKY: Have you bought
anything for baby yet? We had bought a dresser and rocker with our first
pregnancy before the loss so I have those and my BFF has apparently been
hoarding me diapers and baby toiletries for months so she has started bringing
them to me (we live in different towns). Having the baby stuff helps me feel
like it is real and will hopefully stick this time. I really want to buy a crib
but I know that is crazy and that I should wait longer. I am the opposite of a
procrastinator and I like to have everything ready and situated as soon as
possible so waiting is really hard for me.
1. Introduce yourself if this is your first PGAL check in. Been here before, but since we are all still learning about each other: I have two living children, DS1 (7) is my adopted son, and an angel daughter we lost at 21 weeks due to an incompetent cervix and DS2 our rainbow baby will be two on March 1st.
2. How far along are you? 5w4d
3. Next milestone you're looking forward to? DS2 will be two on March 1st. We will have all the grandparent and my brothers over on the 5th for his party. Since our first dr appt is the day before on the 4th, we plan to tell everyone at the party. I'm excited for that.
4. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: I'm feeling tired and overwhelmed with lots of stuff in general.
5. GTKY: Have you bought anything for baby yet? Nope. We have a lot of baby stuff leftover from DS2. My house is already overrun with baby/kid stuff. I probably won't buy anything specific for this baby until I pass viability.
Married 11/23/11, TTC starting 10/12, BFP#1 11/30/12, Adoption of stepson finalized 03/19/13,Loss of our daughter at 20w4d due to incompetent cervix 03/27/13, BFP#2 06/28/13, DS2 born 3/1/14.
1. Introduce yourself if this is your first PGAL check in. I can't remember if I posted an intro on here but I'm Mary, mom to three and expecting my fourth. We had a rough go with TTC #1 and I lost two IVF pregnancies (one ectopic and one miscarriage at our graduation ultrasound). I have also had two chemical pregnancies, the most recent was this past July.
2. How far along are you? 4 weeks 5 days
3. Next milestone you're looking forward to? the 5 week mark in a few days but I'm really looking forward to getting out of the first tri!
4. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: I took another test today and the test line is now darker than the control line!
5. GTKY: Have you bought anything for baby yet? No way, jose. I am going to buy a fetal doppler monitor in about 2 weeks and I can't wait to start using that puppy.
1. Introduce yourself if this is your first PGAL check in. Ahoy! Still here... Hallelujah! Happy for each week I hit.
2. How far along are you? 5w3d... Only about 35 to go!
3. Next milestone you're looking forward to? Honestly... I'm terrified about all of them. I've got a beta on the 19th that will prompt an ultrasound. My big stress doesn't come until the nucal scan. If I have a good one at about 13 weeks... then I might relax a touch.
4. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: Every feeling I get could be a sign of pregnancy AND also MC... *sigh* What I wouldn't give to feel a touch nauseous just to make this pregnancy different than the last.
5. GTKY: Have you bought anything for baby yet? I have quite a few things but no, I haven't bought anything this pregnancy.
1. Introduce yourself if this is your first PGAL check in. Not my first check in.. but just as a refresher, I'm Ashley- this is my 6th pregnancy.. I have three kiddos and have had two m/c (one at 4 weeks and one at 13 weeks)
2. How far along are you? 6 weeks even
3. Next milestone you're looking forward to? I have another ultrasound in two weeks and just hope everything is good then.
4. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: had an ultrasound today and saw a little tiny bean with a little tiny heartbeat.. it sounded a little slow, but I think it was within normal..AND! I lost ten pounds since my annual in december.. which I had been working really hard toward before I got KU.
5. GTKY: Have you bought anything for baby yet? A belly band..
1. Introduce yourself if this is your first PGAL check in.
hi all! I'm Tara from New York. I have a son who will be three this spring and we lost our last baby at 14 weeks this past October.
2. How far along are you?
6 weeks, 1 day
3. Next milestone you're looking forward to?
Our next appointment in 2 weeks.
4. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes:
We had an appointment today so we got to see the baby and see and hear a heart beat which is exciting. I have some morning sickness, but it's occasional and I constantly crave pizza. My only "complaint" which really isn't one is that I'm super exhausted.
5. GTKY: Have you bought anything for baby yet?
No and we probably won't buy much. We still have everything from our son and we're not finding out the sex, so if we do buy it'll be something random or after the baby is born.
1. Introduce yourself if this is your first PGAL check in. We got pregnant on our first try last fall, but at the scan discovered it was a blighted ovum. It's only been six months since we actually started trying, but we had to wait such a long time to get to the point where we could try, it feels like a lot longer. I have PCOS, so that complicates things, and I'm 34, so that scares me even though I know the magic 35 is arbitrary.
2. How far along are you? 4w4d
3. Next milestone you're looking forward to? I can't believe anything until I actually see the baby on a screen. In the meantime, if I could have stronger symptoms than my last pregnancy, I'd find that reassuring.
4. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: My rant is that if I hadn't lied about my LMP to get an accurate due date, I would have had an earlier sonogram! How would that have hurt anything? Of course, a later one shouldn't hurt anything, either.
5. GTKY: Have you bought anything for baby yet? Other than a few things I have bought throughout the years for future-possible-baby, I just ordered a plush Yoshi egg and Nintendo star pillow. I have a vague idea of using the egg in my pregnancy announcement, and I also have vague plans for a Nintendo-themed nursery.
1. Introduce yourself if this is your first PGAL check in.
I am pregnant for the first time following a loss back in May of 2014. I was 15 weeks and the baby (my son) was diagnosed with Down syndrome. His heart hadn't formed correctly. We knew at 12 weeks that something was wrong with his heart but I didn't know about the T21 until the following week. It was a scary time and this loss is by far the hardest thing I have ever gone through. I am terrified of being pregnant again & having to go through a loss like this. I feel like I won't be able to relax until I hit the 16 week mark and am further along than I was when I lost him.
2. How far along are you?
5w 1d
3. Next milestone you're looking forward to?
US on 2/18 to check viability
4. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes:
We are trying to stay positive but I can't help but say things like "If we have this child..." "If all goes well..." "If... If... If..."I don't want to be so paranoid but being pregnant after a loss is a huge reality slap to all the possibilities that can go wrong. So much can go right too so we're trying to focus on that.
5. GTKY: Have you bought anything for baby yet?
I bought a onesie. I have it in my bedroom so I can focus on being pregnant today & staying positive that in October I will have a baby to put in it.
@julia50286 Praying for you! Even though spotting is so common, I can relate on the terror front. Hope you get your ultrasound and happy news ASAP. Xoxo
3. Next milestone you're looking forward to?
First ultrasound...FRIDAY!!!
4. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes:
Hormones are in FULL swing...like, so much crying...but DH is so sweet about it, and keeps telling me "I'm sorry you're sad but it makes me so happy that you're this hormonal!" since it wasn't this extreme last time.
5. GTKY: Have you bought anything for baby yet?
Not since this BFP, though we do have a little stash of goodies...but we've been keeping a pregnancy journal that we're writing as letters to the baby!
3. Next milestone you're looking forward to? hitting 6 weeks.... then 7... then 8....then 9..... ect.
4. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: I'm terrified to book my first appt. With my loss I went at 8wks and had an ultrasound and everything was looking great and then I MC at 9weeks and so I feel like I dont even want to go....
5. GTKY: Have you bought anything for baby yet? I have a small collection of onesies, pjs and cloth diapers that have been bought at super cheap prices.
me 28 (Lean PCOS, hypothyroid) dh 33 TTC #1 since early 2011 May 2011- natural pregnancy (metformin only); m/c @ 9 weeks + D&C July 2011- lap to remove dermoid cyst August 2012-current- 9 rounds of Clomid, 1 cycle of Femara, several cycles of soy isos, 1 IUI, O'd every cycle, BFN August 2014- lap to remove uterine septum. First ultrasound 2/19 - one baby with a heart rate of 127! EDD 10/11/2016
1. Introduce yourself if this is your first PGAL check in. Hello everyone, DH and I have been trying for our first child for a little over 2 years now. and we are happy to finally get a BFP! I was diagnosed with PCOS the first year of us trying, but I participated in Acupuncture which helped tremendously. I look forward to what the future has to bring our way!
2. How far along are you? 4w3d
3. Next milestone you're looking forward to? first Ultrasound is on Feb 24th!
4. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: it still seems a little unreal, but I am very excited.
5. GTKY: Have you bought anything for baby yet? I went all baby fever a year ago and bought a crib, and some clothes... so yeah. I have a few baby things.

Fertility Acupuncture March 2015 - December 2015 First BFP on 2/6/2016!
1. Hi Ladies. I'm so happy to be joining you here. I got my BFP yesterday and confirmed this morning with a few more HPTs and a digi. I'm tentatively excited after an early loss in November but keeping my FX for a sticky bean!
2. How far along are you? 3 weeks, 2 days
3. Next milestone you're looking forward to? Confirming with blood work and seeing my levels (hopefully) double.
4. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: My grandma passed away on Friday and even though it sounds silly, I feel like maybe she sent me this little bean. I know it's just a way to cope with her loss but it makes me feel better so I'm going with it.
5. GTKY: Have you bought anything for baby yet? No. Probably won't until after an US/heartbeat is heard.

BFP #1: 11/18/15 - CP BFP #2: 2/8/16 - EDD 10/20/16 IT'S A BOY!!!! DS Born 10/16/16
I'm 6 weeks, and 100% hormonal, I cried when I took college Chemistry test because I didn't know 1 answer! Cried at gas station pump because I parked on wrong side of gas tank, cried when Cell phone died. Snapped at friends.......oh the joys of pregnancy. I'm an emotional mess. Just started 6th week of pregnancy. I dislike this part of the journey. I'm exhausted, but can't sleep. Hungry, but sick at the same time....I haven't called OB yet as they wont see me until 9 weeks anyways, so just hanging back until next week, then I will call. For me I've had MC so I won't feel certain until I'm further a long so I won't be buying baby things yet.
3. Next milestone you're looking forward to? my first ultrasound on 2/19.
4. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: It's strange but this pregnancy feels more unreal for me than the last one. I completely understand what @2015dee is saying about not getting attached in a way. I think it's partly because we have not told anyone yet, so I'm not really talking about it much in my everyday life. I'm very excited, but it's just different than last time.
5. GTKY: Have you bought anything for baby yet? Nope, but I've definitely been scanning Pinterest for nursery ideas! We're house hunting now, so we try to imagine a nursery in every house we see.
1. Introduce yourself if this is your first PGAL check in. Hi ladies! DH and I have been trying for our first baby since January 2015. I have had 2 pregnancies so far, but unfortunately both have ended in miscarriages somewhere between 6 and 8 weeks (May 2015, November 2015). We were fortunate to get pregnant a 3rd time in my first cycle since my m/c in November and I am still a little shocked!
2. How far along are you? 5 weeks 3 days
3. Next milestone you're looking forward to? I have my first ultrasound next Wednesday on the 17th which I am excited for!
4. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: I am sooooo tired all the time. I sleep 9 or 10 hours a night and I am dying for a nap by 2 in the afternoon and don't even get me started on the mood swings. I am either on the verge of tears or pissed off at the world and not much between!
5. GTKY: Have you bought anything for baby yet? Nope... still super cautious at this point. Maybe we will get a little something to celebrate the 8 week milestone
Did anyone else struggle with whether to keep POAS/temping? I want to do both for reassurance but I'm afraid the line will be lighter or my temp will drop and I'll freak out. Ugh, loss really messes with your head. I want to be excited but I'm just terrified.

@MRSCORKER definitely stop both! They're only going to bring you anxiety. I'm handing my extra tests over to a friend today. Just remember, today you are pregnant and you love your baby.
ETA: You're pregnant until proven otherwise and you don't need to be the one to prove it otherwise. Step away from the BBT and pee sticks!
Just got back from vacation so I'm checking in late!
1. Introduce yourself if this is your first PGAL check in. I think this is my first check in. I'm kmalls, I'm 34 and live in MA. I have one DS and he's turning 1 next week. SO MANY EMOTIONS. I had a m/c at 6 weeks back in September.
2. How far along are you? 5 weeks today
3. Next milestone you're looking forward to? I have my second beta test in about an hour, and I should have the results a few hours after that. Going slightly crazy over here.
4. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: DH and I just got back from taking DS to Miami for a week, and just before we left I had pretty strong cramping and some bleeding. I was 100% sure I miscarried again and was devastated. We decided to go on the trip anyway as we knew nothing could be done if it was another loss. I left my wondfo's at home as I couldn't bear to see the positives getting fainter and fainter. When we got home on Monday I took a test to be sure the m/c had ended, and to my shock it was the darkest positive I've ever gotten. I went right in for a beta test and the results were well within normal range for this stage of pregnancy. The second round of testing today will tell us more, but I'm feeling fairly optimistic (although terrified) at this point.
5. GTKY: Have you bought anything for baby yet? NOPE.
@MRSCORKER Ah, I'm still temping and I've taken a second test five days after the first and plan to do another five days later. No one is checking my betas for me so it's the only thing I have! I know a lot of things interfere with temperatures, but I'm going to be all crazy about everything anyway. I might as well have some details - meaningful or not - to pore over.

I get that. I think for me, the cons outweigh the pros. As reassuring as BFPs and high temps would be, one temp drop would send me on a tailspin.

No, and to be honest, I probably won't for a while. I am not letting myself get "attached" yet. I know that's probably bad. I think I am going to tell my sister in two weeks when I am in town for my nephew's 2nd birthday. I am thinking of buying him a shirt that says "I'm the big cousin." 2. How far along are you? 3weeks/5days
3. Next milestone you're looking forward to? Just waiting for my doctor appointment on March 1.
4. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: I feel like I'm still dreaming. I just don't feel pregnant yet! I think an ultrasound will change that.
5. GTKY: Have you bought anything for baby yet? No I haven't. I want to wait for the first ultrasound.

5. GTKY: Have you bought anything for baby yet? I bought a few newborn cloth diapers and DS picked out a baby toy at BRU the other day. I told him we could buy it for "a" baby, not "our" baby because he doesn't know yet.
LFAF April Siggy: TV/Movie BFFs
BFP #4 1/2016, DD born 10/2016
BFP #1: 7/15/15, SB: 11/14/15

2. How far along are you?
4 weeks 6 days
3. Next milestone you're looking forward to?
My 1st ultrasounder is scheduled for March
17. Should be able to hear Peanut's heartbeat.
4. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes:
Trying to follow the PUPO logic. Pregnant Until Proven Otherwise.
5. GTKY: Have you bought anything for baby yet?
I can't bring myself to even look, much less buy anything until I'm at least out of my 1st trimester.
3. Next milestone you're looking forward to? Like everyone else the doctors appointment on 2/17. I will not be able to stop holding my breath until then.
4. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes:
Anytime I get worried I just go look at baby stuff online. It makes it feel more real. I've showed DH some of the stuff I picked out that I know he will like.
5. GTKY: Have you bought anything for baby yet? Nope. I don't think I will until at least after we tell everyone but most likely not until after we find out the sex
3. Next milestone you're looking forward to? U/s on 2/17
4. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: just happy that I'm still prego!
5. GTKY: Have you bought anything for baby yet? No, won't for a while because I just don't ever do that. I buy things once I find out the gender.
How far along are you? 4 weeks 5 days
3. Next milestone you're looking forward to? I want to hit 6 weeks.
4. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: @peggyolsonFTW I totally understand and I am in the same boat. I really want morning sickness to start to help me feel more at ease.
5. GTKY: Have you bought anything for baby yet? We had bought a dresser and rocker with our first pregnancy before the loss so I have those and my BFF has apparently been hoarding me diapers and baby toiletries for months so she has started bringing them to me (we live in different towns). Having the baby stuff helps me feel like it is real and will hopefully stick this time. I really want to buy a crib but I know that is crazy and that I should wait longer. I am the opposite of a procrastinator and I like to have everything ready and situated as soon as possible so waiting is really hard for me.
4. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes:
I'm feeling tired and overwhelmed with lots of stuff in general.
5. GTKY: Have you bought anything for baby yet? Nope. We have a lot of baby stuff leftover from DS2. My house is already overrun with baby/kid stuff. I probably won't buy anything specific for this baby until I pass viability.
4. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes:
Every feeling I get could be a sign of pregnancy AND also MC... *sigh* What I wouldn't give to feel a touch nauseous just to make this pregnancy different than the last.
5. GTKY: Have you bought anything for baby yet?
I have quite a few things but no, I haven't bought anything this pregnancy.
3. Next milestone you're looking forward to? Until my first appointment on 2/25, the daily/weekly app updates
4. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: Even if I'm more emotional at times and cry or get irritated, my general/baseline level of anxiety seems to be on hiatus
5. GTKY: Have you bought anything for baby yet? Not yet but might after the first ultrasound to celebrate any signs of progress!
3. Next milestone you're looking forward to? The first ultra sound. Have to wait till 8 weeks. My old place would do one at 6 weeks
4. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: looking forward to the MS as it will make me feel like this baby is sticking around.
5. GTKY: Have you bought anything for baby yet? Nope. We won't till we know the sex.
5. GTKY: Have you bought anything for baby yet? A belly band..
3. Next milestone you're looking forward to? First ultrasound...FRIDAY!!!
4. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: Hormones are in FULL swing...like, so much crying...but DH is so sweet about it, and keeps telling me "I'm sorry you're sad but it makes me so happy that you're this hormonal!" since it wasn't this extreme last time.

First ultrasound 2/19 - one baby with a heart rate of 127! EDD 10/11/2016
First BFP on 2/6/2016!

2. How far along are you? 5 weeks, 1 day
4. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes:
I am sooooo tired all the time.

4. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes:
DH and I just got back from taking DS to Miami for a week, and just before we left I had pretty strong cramping and some bleeding.
NOPE.
