My office has decided to create a pumping room, rather than give us locks on our office doors.. Wth! One way, I can continue to be productive.. The other way, I'm face booking for an hour a day.
Not to mention, there will be at least two of us pumping at the same time.. So I guess we work out a schedule for room use??
Yup we have one pumping room in our clinic too, so they have a daily schedule and we sign up during what times we'll be in there. Last time I pumped I signed up daily from 1030 - 1100
@elasticheart13 I would totally make something different for dinner, but i can be spiteful like that. I would use the excuse of being too tired and make something with a lot of veggies.
Ratatouille and eggplant Parmesan come to mind...yum!
Mine goes out to toddler constipation. For the second weekend in a row DD didn't poop Saturday or Sunday and has woken up at like 4/5 howling in pain. The only thing that will comfort her is to be held. This morning she woke up screaming 5 minutes before my alarm at 5:30 so I ended up running late for my flight this morning bc I was comforting her. Oh and I also got flagged by TSA scanner for a boob pat down. Awesome. Glad this is my last trip for next 6 months.
Have you tried giving your toddler mineral oil inside their juice/milk? Whenever my daughter didn't poop for a couple of days I would give her half a dose once a day and then she started pooping.
I got one more and it goes to my ass, which has gotten bigger over these last few months. My tailbone can't take it anymore. I dread each time I have to sit and then get up because it hurts so much.

Don't be mean now, haha! That would give me a melt down
WTF balloon fingers? I have had zero problems with swelling up to this point (surprisingly enough). I took off my rings over the weekend while I did the nursery and today when I went to put them back on, my wedding set was tight and my mom's ring that I *never* go without wouldn't go on. I'm not ready for this.

Mine have gotten really bad in the last 5 days or so. I'm down to wearing just my wedding band, and asked DH to buy me a QALO for our anniversary in a couple weeks because even that is a little uncomfortable.
@misstopsail do you have a laptop or something that can go with you in the pumping room? From experience being on FB for an hour a day doesn't sound like much fun. We have a pump room at work and it sucks having to share it and pump around someone else's schedule especially if they get hung up in a meeting and everyone else has to modify their schedules.
Unfortunately, my office computer is a desktop... HR did say I could pump in my office, but wouldn't be getting a lock. So I may go for the 'sign on the door' routine. i'm just really anxious about having to be away from my office, when I am fortunate enough to have a private office that would be perfect, and allow productivity too.
Hopefully it won't be a big deal.. I'm just imagining two plastic chairs in a dark room. My office would be way more comfortable than that!
My BFM goes out to this weird food-hangover I've had all day. The high sodium, fatty Super Bowl goodness we indulged in last night left my brain all funky from dehydration.

New BFM: Friend: So I just looked at your registry... I don't want to get anything off of it. What do you actually still need?
Me: Wow... I really wish there was a way I could list everything I need and want for the baby in one place and show it to everyone so I didn't have to individually tell them what to get me. -.- If you are so dead set on not buying something off the registry then a gift card or a set of onesies would be great. Actually I don't have any baby towels or a robe or anything of that nature.
Friend: That's boring stuff!
(It's been an hour. I still don't know how to reply. What does she mean by "what do you need?" If she isn't actually giving a shit about what I need? And how the hell do people keep looking at a registry that only five things have been purchased off of and can't find a single thing to buy? )

Nipple cream, preparation H, and depends.
My BFM goes to my cats, who somehow managed to knock a beautiful, heavy mirror over causing it to smash all over the floor. I got the mirror for $5 so it shouldn't be a big deal but it was one of my first upcycled pieces and it was gorgeous
They're damn lucky there wasn't a baby in the vicinity.
Another BFM why the hell does my mom have to make comments on my income? Yes I am better off than they are but instead of acting proud sometimes she makes it sound like I just waste it. No we don't! All this came up because I told her we were going to do our taxes at a nearby H&R block instead of traveling a hour to my aunt who usually gives us a discount. I'm on freaking bedrest!!! I can't travel that far. I barely get clearance from my doctor to do things near by every so often.
So this isn't really a BF but it was kind of weird. Today my 1 HR glucose was scheduled for 830 am but my OB had to reschedule for 3 pm because she had to perform an immediate c-section (hope all went well for that mama). But unfortunately something else came up for her so I saw a different OB.
When end the nurse called me to reschedule she asked if I was ok with seeing a different OB, which I thought was odd because I thought it was just the glucose test, not an office visit so I said no I don't mind. She was about to hang up when I asked her if there were any "rules" I had to follow prior to the test because I read so many of you had to follow guidelines before the test. She sounded unsure of herself but said nope go about my day as normal.
When I got to my appointment today, the OB who saw me was prepared for a regular office visit of checking HR on the Doppler. She told me I needed to get my 1hr glucose test done ASAP because I am 28 weeks. I told her I thought that's what I was doing today--she was confused but then said ok yeah if you want to, you can do it today. Then she tells me my OB also ordered blood work for my thyroid but not the reason why. So I'm sitting here wondering what the heck could be wrong.
I received my tDap vaccination while I was here, might as well.
I was curious to know how much weight I have gained during this pregnancy. The nurse told me, and I was surprised because I thought I had actually gained more than what I did. I am fine either way, if I gained more than expected or not, because I believe my body will gain what it has to. But the nurse made some backhanded comment which is what bothered me. She said some remark to the regards of "well for women who already start out on the pudgy side don't need to gain as much weight anyway" EXCUSE ME, who you callin pudgy huh!?
Its 5:04 and my blood gets drawn at 5:23 pm. So I'm just sitting here reflecting about how weird this whole visit was. Normally Kaiser has their shit together, but today felt very off for some reason. The glucose drink wasn't all that bad though, tasted like flat orange soda.
@kalanieileen I would lose my sh*t if some nurse called me pudgy. No no no. And lodge a complaint, because that's completely uncalled for. She's not a doctor.
I enjoyed my glucose test this time around. I had a hysterical nurse who had to watch me drink it. Then I sat in the lab waiting area with another 28 week btdt mama as we listened to a newly pregnant couple discuss their relationship drama loudly. She was sure it was a girl because of the heartbeat at their 8 week appt. He was asking her about when her shower would be and if he would attend, which is when she told him she was focusing on the baby and could careless what he did.
WTH, dog? You bark and growl RANDOMLY which scares the crap out of me and then when I look outside, there is NOTHING THERE. I get my pregnant butt back on the couch and you DO IT AGAIN. Then, you just come inside and go to sleep on my bed. Thanks for the heart attack.

I feel really lucky about the lactation room at work. It's separated into cubicles, so 5 moms can pump at the same time in privacy.
@kalanieileen the exact same thing happened with me today. I got an appointment for the glucose test today as I didn't show up for my 28 week one, and it got rescheduled with a different midwife than the one I usually see (in Sweden, all pregnancy related appointments are with midwives) and it was like a regular check up. She mentioned I should take the glucose test soon, and I was like "but I already fasted. I was told it's today o_o" She was very pleased to know I was fasting and proceeded to give me the test immediately.
