R/R/CS: I let the BSC get me today. I had a box of 2 FRERs that I swore off after last cycles false positive/evap/whatever it was. DH brought a box of them home not knowing they're actually the devil. Just so you know, they lived up to their reputation. 2 obvious lines on both and BFNs on 2 digitals. I let it get me really down but I think I'm over it and will now just chill until AF.

My parents were not great about the double gift thing... although they did get me some pretty sweet "one-for-two" gifts, like a Barbie Corvette that I could drive around the neighborhood. So sweet. Also, I am in love with your dog! Creepy happy dog-birthday wishes from this internet stranger!

@atcwag Pomeranians are not my style either. My friends mom has 2 and they are little devils. Although I think it has more to do with the owner and how they care for them rather then the dogs themselves.
@samijrichards FX for your BFP, a couple things though. I noticed you haven't really participated much with the exception of a dear diary post. I would recommend putting your TW at the top of your post and not so hidden. If you do get your for sure BFP (and I really hope you do) you may want to think about changing your username when you move to your BMB. I am guessing its your full name with internet safety and all.

@m6agua thank you for the suggestions! I try to participate as much as I can - I have in a couple of TWW threads as well as GTKY threads, and even tried to start a few (with the exception of the dear diary), life is just hectic right now and I get spaced out sometimes. I wasn't positive of where to put the TW, and honestly not sure if it was needed because I saw a few people say that it wasn't (only in the TWW threads). But I wanted to post it just in case. Also - it's a shortened version of my name, but I will definitely change it up. thank you for the FX as well!!
Month/Cycle: 2 months TTC / probably over 6 months measuring BBT and using CBFM
CD/DPO: CD30, 14 DPO
Timing: Not sure what this means?
Testing Plans: I'm trying my best to wait until my period is really late.
R/R/CS: Not sure what this means as well?
Today, AF is due, but it hasn't come yet. Normally, a few days before AF, I get very light spotting (very little brownish discharge with CM, sorry TMI), but those symptoms have not shown either. My bbs were sore few days ago, but they are less sore now.
I tested at 8DPO but got a BFN That was pretty discouraging and it's making me afraid to test again. My plan is to wait 3 more days when my period is considered really late.
timing: when you had sex in relation to ovulation day. -5 through +1 are acceptable choices based upon the number of days sperm can survive in reproductive tract.
R/R/CS: Anyone else get really, really angry at the First Response tv commercials that start with "Imagine knowing you're pregnant the moment it happens. Science is getting close." ? I yelled at the TV yesterday. No, it's not close, jerks.

R/R/CS: AF is due today, and I had a small bout of spotting yesterday but it's gone, and now nothing. I'm sure AF is just messing with me. I usually spot for about 3 days before AF, and I know it's all the same; but I totally felt it was finally it this month. (Just like everyone else I know)
GTKY: Do you have any pets? What kind? Names? 2 cats, names are pretty distinct so I won't name them in case someone I know is on here
@gardeniagirlknits Omg that commercial... cute, but so annoying. During the recent blizzard, one of my friends who has never TTC told me she would expect a blizzard baby from me and all of her other TTC friends in 9 months. I was just like, that's... that's not quite how it works.
@RatParade Tan Rat is so cute! And awww, Templeton is just the best rat name ever.
@BusinessWife I hope you can pull yourself out of the blahs soon! Funny how it's hardest to exercise when you feel blah, but exercise is the best cure. I need to force myself to hit the gym today, too.
GTKY: I have a beautiful little grey cat who I love so very much. She's alternately sweet and BSC. She's locked out of my office right now because I had an important videoconference and couldn't have her climbing on my chair, and she's been crying outside the door the whole time.
@MRSCORKER I didn't realize FRERs gave false positives! I used a clear blue early this morning and it was neg, but the dye looked runny, so I was going to pick up a box of FRERs on my way home! Should we be avoiding them? I thought they were the best option.
bender29 I think we have a similar cycle. I'm 14DPO today and AF is scheduled to arrive today. I also get very light spotting a few days before my period, but this time, there's nothing except mild AF-like cramps and sore bbs which have tapered off and not really as painful anymore.
I don't have plans of testing because I'm afraid to get a BFN, but if period is 3 days late (which is this Thursday/Friday), then maybe I'll test. I don't know why something in my head is telling me that I'm going to get a BFN anyway.

*lurking... again* I actually have a question about +1. I have read in this study https://npr.pl/badania/timing_intercourse.pdf that +1 is not fertile. Does anyone here have a source that says it is?
I've read multiple sources that say an egg is still around and able to be fertilized for 12-24 hours after ovulation. Some say up to 48, but most say 24. Here is one source: https://americanpregnancy.org/getting-pregnant/understanding-ovulation/ but you can find others by Googling "how long does an egg last after ovulation"
@britters314 There's also the maturing process the sperm have to go through that takes some time (up to a couple days) so it's not a straight shot to the egg like a lot of people think. Nova did an amazing segment on the whole process.
"It's the slow pokes, caught up in the cilia lining the tube, that may have a better chance. It's probably here that chemicals in the woman's body alter the outer coating. *Only those sperm that have been altered can get a date with the egg.* The sperm are released gradually, over the course of a few days so that at any given time only a couple hundred will move on..."
R/R/CS: Still here in limbo. I called my doc today and they said "a line is a line" and took my info (new doc) and said the Midwife will be calling me for my first OB appt in a few days. I'm not believing sh*t until I see a blood +. Still no AF, temps still up, boobs still hurt.

I can't get your link to load for some reason, but now that I think about it, I remember in The Great Sperm Race that the sperm will capacitate once the egg is released and if they aren't already in the Fallopian tubes they'll capacitate too early and won't make it to the egg. I haven't done too much research into it, so I was just sharing what I had read in passing
@korycir Thanks :-) he's the biggest sook, he thinks he's a dog. We rescued him just over 2yrs ago and have had to rescue him 3 times since from people we've handed him on to, now he is a permanent fixture here. That photo was taken just before his first ride, 2yrs ago.

@britters314Mmmmm I'm skeptical because there is no actual study that is cited here. The egg can still be hanging out, but the outer layer becomes brittle and it can't be penetrated by the sperm. In the study I cited the scientist did not have a single woman who conceived if they only had sex on +1. Here is a link to another study that had the exact same result https://www.nejm.org/doi/full/10.1056/nejm199512073332301#t=articleResults . I could not find any studies at all that showed pregnancy resulting from intercourse exclusively on 1dpo.
edit: Should mention I still think it's a good idea to have sex 1DPO just in case you're wrong about O day.
edit #2: This study also disproves the concept that sex further from O makes girls, closer to O makes boys. Which I think we all already knew, but good to see a study confirming.

Month/Cycle: 3 TTCAL
CD/DPO: 16/3
Timing: -4,-3,-1,0
Testing plans: not sure yet
R/R/CS: Yay for CH. I really hope this is our month. I am getting a small tattoo at 6 DPO, I am kinda nervous about it.
GTKY: We have a Siamese cat named Carlos. He is in my profile pic.
- BFP: 3/10/16 — Baby Girl born 11/20/16
TTC#2 April 2019CD/DPO: cd24, 10dpo according to zero science, just an assumption. (Traveling)
Timing: EOD whole cycle.
Testing plans: I made a drunken pact with myself the day AF showed up last time that I would wait until day 31 to test from now on. My cycles in usually 26-29 days long.
R/R/CS: i think I got pregnant last night because my team won.... That's how it works right?! The commercial told me so...
GTKY:
@DaAliDShow I had that same corvette!!!! Woooo cool kids on the block!
@thefarmerswife0411 I love his birthday face!! Lol. Too funny.
@BusinessWife hugs, sorry you're feeling blah today
@rkstro2 sorry you're sad today, hugs
@lizzie5831 sorry bout AF! Booooo!
I'm loving all the pictures of the kitties
Married May 2014

Aug 2015 Dx: Thyroid Cancer and Hashimotos
Total Thyroidectomy October 2015
Ovarian Cystectomy Nov 2015
CANCER FREE and resumed TTC Dec 2015.
CD/DPO: 32/5
Timing: -3, -2, -1
Testing plans: 9 or 10dpo (Fri or Sat)
R/R/CS: I ate like crap all weekend, and I am definitely feeling it today. Blegh!
GTKY: Do you have any pets? What kind? Names?
I have a dog that has more become my family's dog. He's a Queensland heeler named Bandit
BFP on 7/2/2013
CD/DPO: CD30, 14 DPO
Timing: Not sure what this means?
Testing Plans: I'm trying my best to wait until my period is really late.
R/R/CS: Not sure what this means as well?
Today, AF is due, but it hasn't come yet. Normally, a few days before AF, I get very light spotting (very little brownish discharge with CM, sorry TMI), but those symptoms have not shown either. My bbs were sore few days ago, but they are less sore now.
I tested at 8DPO but got a BFN
timing: when you had sex in relation to ovulation day. -5 through +1 are acceptable choices based upon the number of days sperm can survive in reproductive tract.
r/r/CS stands for rant/rave/chart stalk.
CD/DPO: 21/6
Timing: -3, through O
Testing plans: nope, staying strong (for now).
R/R/CS: Anyone else get really, really angry at the First Response tv commercials that start with "Imagine knowing you're pregnant the moment it happens. Science is getting close." ? I yelled at the TV yesterday. No, it's not close, jerks.
GTKY: Do you have any pets? What kind? Names? @mrskratt Yay for aussies! We have a one-year-old red tri.
*lurking... again* I actually have a question about +1. I have read in this study https://npr.pl/badania/timing_intercourse.pdf that +1 is not fertile. Does anyone here have a source that says it is?
CD/DPO: 27/? (not temping)
Timing: not temping, but most likely terrible
Testing plans: Waiting until at least Wednesday.
R/R/CS: I was out of town for the first 2.5 weeks and based on CM and sex drive, I'm pretty sure I ovulated before coming back, but we'll see. I never did anything other than just BD before DD1. Now I'm over analyzing everything and have learned a lot about the TTC process. I'm definitely learning a lot more about my body this time around!
GTKY: Do you have any pets? What kind? Names? Unfortunately no, our landlord won't allow any, but I'm loving all the pet photos!
I'm pretty sure that +1 is not considered fertile, but we include it here to cover all bases since O date could be off by a day.
Married: July 2015
BFP: 5/20/16 | EDD: 1/28/17 | Twin boys born 1/16/17
CD/DPO: 28/13
Timing: -2,-1,0
Testing plans:
Wednesday
R/R/CS: AF is due today, and I had a small bout of spotting yesterday but it's gone, and now nothing. I'm sure AF is just messing with me. I usually spot for about 3 days before AF, and I know it's all the same; but I totally felt it was finally it this month. (Just like everyone else I know)
GTKY: Do you have any pets? What kind? Names?
2 cats, names are pretty distinct so I won't name them in case someone I know is on here
@MrsCorker My fingers are crossed for you!
She's locked out of my office right now because I had an important videoconference and couldn't have her climbing on my chair, and she's been crying outside the door the whole time.
bender29 I think we have a similar cycle.
I think AF is messing with me too.
CD/DPO: 7 DPO
Timing: -3, -2, -1, 0
Testing plans: none bc I hate the BFNs

RRCS: At work we hired an additional staff member who started last week. I'm suppose to pass half my duties to her and my coworker Jaime is giving me some of her work. Well last week Jaime kept giving the new girl her work because I was closing the month and didn't have time and she needed work. Jaime needs to give her work. It's pissing me off she's not following the rules! I can't give new girl work if Jaime is keeping her busy. AHHH
GTKY: two coonhounds Molly is in the front. She is a 2 yr old Lab/Coonhound. Maggie is in the back. She is a 3.5 yr old Walking Treeing Coonhound.

CD/DPO: 27/8
Timing: -4, -2, -1, O
RRCS: I've been so good and relaxed so far since O. No crazy or SSing or anything. I woke up this morning and was like "maybe I should test. I mean people get BFPs at 8DPO. It could happen!" So clearly the BSC is starting to set in. I'm hoping my willpower holds up till Valentine's Day.

GTKY: Do you have any pets? What kind? Names?
Thanks :-) he's the biggest sook, he thinks he's a dog. We rescued him just over 2yrs ago and have had to rescue him 3 times since from people we've handed him on to, now he is a permanent fixture here. That photo was taken just before his first ride, 2yrs ago.

R/R/CS: ff told me I could test today. My lp is normally 9-10 days and today is day 11 and my normal pms symptoms are not here yet, so I think I let my hopes get up a little too high. Now I'm feeling pretty sad. I guess I should expect af tomorrow.
GTKY: Do you have any pets? What kind? Names? We have two Weimaraners and a cat, and they're spoiled rotten. They make me so happy though!

@virginiaham my mil breeds havanese!!! (or used to), they have 3. They make the cutest puppies! Here's some from the last litter...toooo cute!
edit: Should mention I still think it's a good idea to have sex 1DPO just in case you're wrong about O day.
edit #2: This study also disproves the concept that sex further from O makes girls, closer to O makes boys. Which I think we all already knew, but good to see a study confirming.
