You know, like actual kisses? My husband and I have been saying "kisses" and kissing her for months hoping she'll learn what it means so she can give them back. So just wondering at what age do kids learn how to do that? TIA.
Zachary was 7.5 or 8 months when he started. His kisses are basically his wide open, slobbery mouth all over your cheek. They're messy, but they're the best!
DD was 5 months. She can give me a kiss when I ask most of the time. She also gives me kisses when she knows I'm about to put her down so I can continue to hold her (which I do - I know, I'm a softie...)
DD started at about 6 months. We'd say "kisses" and she'd lean over, with her mouth wide open, and plant a big wet one on the cheek. I can't get enough of those slobbery kisses!
Now if DH and I kiss while one of us is holding her, she'll push DH's face out of the way so that she can kiss me
Around 7 months. She opens her mouth, leans over and places it on your lips. Lots of slobber involved, but it's adorable. Her new favorite thing is to try to do it with the dog. Ew!
I never knew DS was giving kisses, I just thought he was trying to eat our faces. He's given them to us just a handful of times, not on any regular basis.
Re: when did your LO give "kisses"?
Lucy started at about 7.5 or 8 months. and the sleepier she gets the more slobbery they are.
Last week she started blowing kisses too, and those are equally as slobbery
