Hi everyone! Pregnancy has been on mine and my husbands minds a lot lately. We're 26 & 27, and we always imagined having kids by now. We're finally ready for that next step in our lives! So we both agreed this is the year we want to get pregnant. Ideally, we'd like to wait to try to get pregnant around July or August. But in the mean time, what should I be doing to be getting my body prepared for pregnancy? I have some weight i'd like to lose and i'm already working on that. When should I take prenatals? Should I see my OBGYN? I appreciate all feedback!
Re: Preparing for Pregnancy
You can start taking prenatal vitamins whenever, just make sure you take them when you actually start TTC or NTNP.
You don't really need to see your OBGYN unless you have major concerns about fertility, try unsuccessfully for over a year or if you already have an annual exam scheduled. A lot of info can be found on these boards and online.
Be sure to stick around and participate in discussions on this board. Best of luck!

And OP please keep in mind it can take a healthy couple up to a year to get pregnant. I know you have an ideal time frame you'd like to get pregnant but don't be surprised if it takes a lot longer, or happens super quick. It's harder than you might think
