  • My husband is always great, but the in the past 24 hours he's gone grocery shopping while I napped & made me breakfast in bed this morning :) he's the best.
  • I was dying in my last two sessions (4 hours ) with the worst tension headache I have ever had. Called husband to tell him I was on my way home and asked if he could start a bath for me. No questioning or complaining he did it even kept the door shut so it would stay warm! Best husband ever!

  • I ended up with a small flu bug last night. After throwing up for the first time this entire pregnancy he went out and bought ginger ale, 7up and Sprite so I would have choices, saltine crackers and chicken noodle soup. This was at 10 pm. He also texted me throughout the day to check up on me and wanted to know what the doctor said (I called to make sure I wouldn't need to go in). He even made me dinner tonight (one piece of toast, but still), all this after being out of the house for over 12 hours for work.
  • DH texted me that he's officially down 21 pounds. I think he' s only been dieting/working out for 2 weeks... MEN! I'm so proud of him. He really needed to make a change to his diet (especially because he travels for work so much) and has actually started to work out. DH works in college athletics, so I think it's definitely important for his career that he looks the part. He put on his "skinny" pants the other day and looked so handsome. I know he's excited to be able to wear clothes that have been packed away for a while.

His dad was recently diagnosed with diabetes and I think that prompted him to make positive life changes now, especially with our 2nd kid on the way. I'm just so proud. His family all carries extra weight really easily whereas I'm just naturally skinny. I know it's a challenge for him and he's totally putting in a lot of effort to do this!
  • This pregnancy has been a complete difference than our pregnancy with our son. I have had more nausea this time around and last week our son had a throat infection and dealing with him I ended up getting it plus the stomach flu. I stayed at my parents for two days so he could sleep and go to work fully-rested and on the Friday I came home, he had cleaned the kitchen - done the dishes - mopped and tidied the main floor.

He's been so great during this pregnancy that sometimes we miss him too much when he's at work.
  • DH has been awesome lately with picking up the slack around the house. He was out of town for 5 days last week and since he came back he's been really snuggly and affectionate. He takes these trips every couple of months but hadn't taken one since we got married/moved/got pregnant and he said he missed me more than ever. He's been more attentive to the pregnancy, making sure I eat and am feeling ok. This morning he brought me breakfast in bed. I'm loving it!
  • Last night my husband took me to a Blazers game (and we won!), but while walking back to the car (we parked about a mile away because I hate dealing with stadium parking and I don't mind walking if it means not waiting an hour to get out of the lot) I got really overheated and queasy out of nowhere. I had to throw up on the side of the road in front of a bunch of strangers. So embarrassing. My wonderful husband helped me in the car and took me to get froyo, which is all I had been wanting all day long.

Then this morning I felt terrible because I slept like garbage and he let me go back to sleep and he walked the dog, went and got coffee, and brought home my favorite jalapeño cheddar bagels for breakfast, all before he had to leave for work. What a guy.
  • I have been sick with Influenza.  Dh has picked up my slack, taken care of me, the 2 kids and still gone to school. When I try to help, he stops me and says 'you need to focus on getting better' and puts me back in bed.
    Thank God for Raid.

  • Yesterday I took the kids (ages 5 and 7) to the zoo. By the time I got home I was exhausted. On top of that my girl needed anther lice treatment. We've been battling it for a short amount of time but I am so done. I just couldn't. So I asked my hubby if he would head this one off while I took a "short nap". He complied and I was off. At this point it was nearly 6. We both knew my nap would turn into bedtime and that I had no intentions of coming back out, especially since my brother in law and his girlfriend were coming over. instead of complaining he did the lice treatment, cleaned the house, got the kids to bed and brought me home dinner which he brought back to my bedroom. He periodically came and checked on me as the evening went on until I was asleep. AND when he came to bed he didn't try to wake me up for Sex. He's the best

  • What a positive thread! My DH is also the best haha. He works 7 days a week most weeks and still tries his best to help around the house when he can :) He makes time for DS and is the cutest, most caring dad! Even when lately my requests might be a little demanding/hormonal he is still incredibly patient, even though I probably wouldn't be that patient with myself lol
  • Since being diagnosed with a hematoma, my wonderful husband has been doing everything around the house. I can't carry anything, I'm not allowed to clean, and I shouldn't be taking the dog out (except when I get home from work since I'm home 3 hours before him and the dog has been alone all day). He really has made sure I'm not doing too much so that baby and I can stay healthy.
  • I had a rough day at work on Friday, so I proclaimed I needed cake on Facebook.  He came home that night with two cupcakes (both for me) <3

  • @Shelby00519 enjoy! When we found out I was pregnant, my husband got me a prenatal package with my fav masseuse, 9 massages total. It's the best gift I think I've EVER gotten :)
  • DH will text me once, sometimes several times a week telling me that he misses me and baby. Then when I get home from work around 7 he is waiting for me with a big hug. After I'm sitting down, eating the dinner that he's usually already made for me, he likes to talk to baby about how his day was and what he did at work that day, and make sure he tells baby how much he loves him or her. He is the sweetest.. I am so lucky to have this man as my baby's father  :)
  • My husband and I said no gifts for Valentine's Day this year but this gets sent to the office today with a card saying, "flowers die, bears don't". We are kids at heart too.
