Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Rave: Pregnancy sex is awesome...that is all. Rant: Actually don't have one this morning...probably due to my rave.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? More bathroom remodel this weekend. Hopefully some talk about baby names.
GTKY: Do you have any bad habits that you're trying to quit, cut back on or improve? What are they? Not too bad but I'm tying to watch the sugar. I feel like I substituted my glass (ok, ok, glass and a half) of wine with dinner and swapped it out with desert after dinner now that I'm KU. I'm worried about the GD test even though it doesn't run in my family and I'm not high risk for it.
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: I bought an adult coloring book at Target yesterday (and a bunch more stuff that I probably didn't need. Thanks Target) in hopes that it might help for those moments when I can't sleep. Also, I AM STARVING all the freaking time. I'm eating the recommended 300 or so extra calories and drinking lots of water, but I can't seem to get enough food. This is ridiculous. I'm wondering if it's because I'm back doing my normal workouts again. I feel like I could win an eating competition.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? I purchased some crib sheets that will drive most of the color scheme of baby's room. As soon as they get delivered I can pick out paint colors for the walls. I also got a shitload of DIY stuff from Craft Direct earlier this week to get started on some homemade wall decor.
GTKY: Do you have any bad habits that you're trying to quit, cut back on or improve? What are they? I have a habit of going to bed without washing my face, and I'm really trying to stop doing that. Luckily I haven't had much for acne or breakouts, but I'm trying my damndest to stick to a skin care routine.
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Actually slept most of last night so that helped!s
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Peri appt today to check my cervix!
GTKY: Do you have any bad habits that you're trying to quit, cut back on or improve? What are they? I'm trying to eat better. I'm not doing too bad but I pick the unhealthy option too many times.
DS 9/2/13 was a BFP from an IUI! Triplets due 6/29/16 also from an IUI!
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: After ranting yesterday that I wasn't feeling him move, my LO has been making himself known since late morning yesterday. He seems to like when I eat, since I feel him a few minutes after each meal. It's exciting, & surreal, & definitely makes my day! AND DH & I have finally begun to move forward on our nursery decorating ideas..so, he's no longer a twatwaffle. Symptoms...RLP, heartburn, & headaches.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Spending too much money online shopping for nursery items, lol. I have zero self-control. And tonight is prenatal water yoga.
Questions? None today.
GTKY: Do you have any bad habits that you're trying to quit, cut back on or improve? What are they? I feel like pregnancy really helps to eliminate any bad habits, lol. I would like to stop biting my nails. It's helped that my nails are so much stronger right now, but I still catch myself doing it every so often. And swearing...I don't mean to, but I do it far too often. I need to stop that...at this rate baby's first word will be "F&@!." Oops!
Edited because the last part of my GTKY was cut off.
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: I think my new prenatals (I needed more and H picked some up for me) are making me nauseous. Looks like I have to go buy my old ones again and see if that helps. Lord, I hope it does and that MS is not coming back! Rave: I wore maternity pants today and it's like the heavens are opening and angels are singing. I am SOO comfortable! They're like pajamas! Rant: They also do absolutely nothing to control the bump so to those that don't know I'm growing a human, I just look pudgy. Damn baby needs to grow more so that I look pregnant!
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Finished the registry last night and went through it all with H to make sure he was on board with it all. So we are DONE! I will run to Target to physically see some of the items, but I doubt that any of them will change.
GTKY: Do you have any bad habits that you're trying to quit, cut back on or improve? What are they? I'm trying to be more social. I'm very introverted and greatly enjoy watching movies at home. H needs more social interaction, so I'm trying to be more flexible with him going out without me and us going out with people more often. Especially since I know things will change with this baby and we will be moving away from our friends in a few months. I need to be more social so I can make new friends in our new city!
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Rant: another early morning of waking up at 4am. Started to work out, but I seem to have caught whatever DS has and couldn't stop coughing through it. Rave: it's almost Friday!
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Nothing today.
GTKY: Do you have any bad habits that you're trying to quit, cut back on or improve? What are they? Drinking soda (I've been drinking caffeine free) and just trying to be more organized. I feel like that'll be pretty important with 2 kids!
@mrsschmity let me know how the coloring book is! I want one so bad! @mkemommy get it! We're all catching this cold around the house so that's been off the table for the past few days
@mrsschmity - Are you eating back your exercise calories too? Maybe that is why? Or maybe it is just a growth spurt for baby. I have weeks where I want to eat everything in sight...and ironically I don't gain as much weight...and then "normal" weeks...and ironically I put on the weight then.
@deepaddy24 - I'm so jealous of the prenatal water yoga...that sounds so relaxing!
@huskerfanz - Hope your cervix cooperates today at the peri!
@mrsschmity Target is like a black hole, I swear. I've been wanting one of those coloring books though.
How far along are you? 22+3
Rants/Raves/Symptoms: Rant - as expected work blows. My boss doesn't seem to understand that the best course of action when one of your employees storms out because she's overworked is NOT to bombard literally the other half of your staff (me) with work and bullshit. I had a meltdown yesterday when I got home. H and I got into a huge fight. Something needs to change. Rave - I'm picking up a supposedly only opened, never used rock N play I found on a buy, sell, trade Facebook page for $30 today. Score. Hopefully the lady shows up.
GTKY: Do you have any bad habits that you're trying to quit, cut back on or improve? What are they? I can't think of anything else right now and I was up late working on a paper so this is dumb but I'm trying to work on my overuse of commas. One of my professors pointed out how much he hates improperly used punctuation and gave us a stupid packet on how to properly use it so I've been really anal about it lately on my school work. So weird.
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Rant: Just trying to get through the day! Rave: Cici's pizza for dinner tonight, can't wait! Symptoms: My nose is soon stuffy and I cannot breathe out of it, bleh.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Buying more maternity clothes with my coupons from Old Navy? Does that count? Going to do the My Registry option to have it all in one place. thanks for all suggestions yesterday!
GTKY: Do you have any bad habits that you're trying to quit, cut back on or improve? What are they? Trying to quit diet soda. I'm at one can a day with or without caffeine. I just have no will power. It's my one vice and my doctor okayed it. Stop being so impatient? Not going so great though. Eat better. Pregnancy makes me want to eat junk 24/7. I am hoping I'll be able to get back on the healthy eating wagon after baby comes though.

Hi ladies, I am exhausted today and have a pretty slow day at work so I will likely be visiting this check-in frequently- nice to hear how everyone is getting on.
How far along are you? 19w5d
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Rant/Symptom- I wake up slightly dizzy and out-of-breath every day. I have very low blood pressure to begin with, and it all seems to bounce back quickly but it's annoying and I feel pretty useless with my toddler or even just getting my breakfast together for the first 10-15 min of the morning. Another symptom- I got some very brief but quite painful twinges in my lower left pelvis yesterday- very brief but happening every few seconds for 5 min or so--- happened twice. Babe still wiggling around and I know random aches and pains are all part of the process but it still freaks me out every time. Rave- I was really productive at work yesterday so it looks like a pretty un-stressful end to the week, as long as no unforeseen student or staff crises come my way. Sometimes I feel guilty for not being uber productive all the time but I try to cut my tired pregnant self some slack.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? I still feel pretty boring on this front. I will not be doing a whole lot for the next few months, aside from getting a few baby things out of storage at my mom's house. The baby will be in our room for the first 6 months, and then we are going to transform our big room into the kids' room (should be fun) and move into our daughter's cozy little nook- so no exciting nursery plans or pics for me.
GTKY: Do you have any bad habits that you're trying to quit, cut back on or improve? What are they? Good question! I chewed gum a lot before I got pregnant but pregnancy seemed to kick that one for me- no interest in it now. Otherwise, nothing I really care too much about. It's taken me years to appreciate all my quirks and to not be so self-critical, so in general I think I'm doing ok. Mind you, I do feel a bit guilty every time I drink diet pop... but I continue to do it, even when pregnant (certainly not every day but...).
@ahernandez16 - MAJOR score on the rock n' play...WTG! Your job really really blows. I would say I'm shocked that your boss isn't kissing your feet right now to keep the employees you guys have but it sounds like your boss is just an idiot. I hope something changes soon.
@tjenkins528 - I'm sorry you aren't feeling well. Cutting back on soda is hard...I went through that for a period of time in law school...I drank 4 diet cokes a day or so. Now the thought of one makes me sick.
@Kballew10 - Being social is hard work (said from one introvert to another). I love smaller group interactions vs big group ones. Would it help to start small? Or join a group centered around a hobby you like?
@Kballew10 Welcome aboard the maternity clothes train They are the shit. @tjenkins528 I started using the coloring book last night, and it seems to be very relaxing! It's very detailed and requires some concentration, so I feel like I had lost track of time and my brain kind of shut off for a while. So far I love it!
@mkemommy I'm eating back my exercise calories too. I was thinking growth spurt too because this happens every once in a while where I'm starving all the time, and then the next few days it seems like my bump grows overnight.
@ahernandez16 I hope your work situation gets better
****Question**** I forgot my question today...pregnancy brain. Is anyone else experience numbness in their thighs/legs? My left (only my left) thigh goes numb sometimes, especially in the evening. I'm not sure if it is exercised related or just sitting all day at a desk that exacerbates it.
How far along are you? 19+5 (although baby measured a bit ahead)
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Rave: We had our A/S yesterday and everything looked great! We found out we're having a little BOY!! He weighs 11 oz which according to TB is bigger than 21 weeks lol. Yesterday he measured at 20 weeks but they're keeping the due date the same. Symptoms: RLP and pressure in lower abdomen, heartburn, and lots of kicks. I found out yesterday I have an anterior placenta but I feel baby all the time and our family has felt him from the outside already.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Finally working on names!
Questions? Did anyone else find out how much baby weighed at their A/S? I don't know if baby is just a chunk or TB is on the lower end. Anyone else with an anterior placenta already feeling lots of movement from inside and outside?
GTKY: Do you have any bad habits that you're trying to quit, cut back on or improve? What are they? I need to watch my language especially once it gets closer to the time he will learn to talk! Also I need to be more active to set a good example
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Slept well....until 4 am, then up until 6 or so, dozed until H's alarm at 630. Gave up at 445am and ate a bowl of cereal. Cranky.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Registry continues. Found a convertible crib we like on wayfair that is half the price of anything we liked at BBB. Woo!
GTKY: Do you have any bad habits that you're trying to quit, cut back on or improve? What are they? Procrastination. Swearing.
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: No new symptoms, just the same ol’ RLP and waking up during
the night. I learned yesterday that I have
an anterior placenta so no surprise that I’m not feeling baby much yet. Rant: I
have to get another ultrasound with a peri after yesterday’s A/S. They will call me “within the next week” to schedule.
Why in the world would they make worrying pregnant women wait to schedule an
appointment? Rave: Tomorrow is Friday!
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Nothing today.
Questions? Not today
GTKY:
Do you have any bad habits that you're trying to quit, cut back on or improve?
What are they? I’m trying to get out of the habit of being lazy in the
evenings. In the first tri, I was so
tired that all I wanted to do was have dinner and go to bed. With a little more energy now, I need to get
my butt off the couch and do things!
@MrsB8214 - Yeah for sweet baby boys!!!! Congrats! As to your question, my doctor just told me a percentile for weight...52%. I have a feeling that is going to go up though...I've gained about 5-7lb in the last 3 weeks alone and I certainly haven't eaten that many calories so it must be going somewhere?!? Also feeling movement finally with an anterior placenta. Mostly at night before bed when I'm sitting quietly and only in the last week did it start for me (I'm a few weeks ahead of you so its great you are feeling it already). H has only felt baby girl once from the outside...she's still hiding out in there from him.
I have to ditto everyone else on the swearing habit. I swear like a sailor. I don't know how cutting back on that would turn out...
I say the stupidest things in place of swear words when I try to quit. I don't even bother lately. I need to watch the F-bombs though once baby arrives. Also pretty funny? We actually call our dog both by his name and "bastard" depending on his behavior...baby girl is going to think we named the dog "bastard" though because we use "bastard" 9/10 of late.
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Heartburn was slightly better... I think my belly is growing or getting firmer. Yesterday I started to get the rib pain when I sit down.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? DSs room to get him out of the nursery still.
Questions? ** Question Below ** For those that did have strong heartburn (beyond Tums) what did your doctor recommend? The pharmacist recommended Prevacid, and I think that is what I have read. I haven't called my OB yet.
GTKY: Do you have any bad habits that you're trying to quit, cut back on or improve? What are they? I have a lot. I *should* cut back on my Wednesday night runs to Taco Bell before I hit the grocery store. I *should* cut back on my soda intake. I *should* pack a lunch from home more. I *should* close the toilet bowl lid.
I can't say I am actively working on any of those...
@NicknShan I'm LOL'ing at your habits comment I *should* do a lot of things too, but some of those things are either petty, or help me get through the day without ramming my fist into someones face (hence my too many cups of coffee when I'm not pregnant).
@mkemommy I have noticed some numbness on the outside of my right thigh recently. I meant to ask about it but I forgot. Babies eat brain cells. @Kballew10 I am wearing my maternity leggings to work today for the first time and I and LOVING IT! @DeePaddy24 Glad your DH is no longer a twatwaffle. I can't wait to get started on our nursery. So far, I have been consulting with my DH on ideas and he hasn't really given very much feedback so I'm hoping I don't run in to the same problem you had when I start making some real decisions.
How far along are you? 22+1
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Rant- it has been pouring here since mid-day yesterday and our yard is flooded and yucky. We had some pretty serious flooding back in October and still haven't dried out so everyone gets in a bad mood when we get under water again Rave- I think I found a good daycare that will hold my spot for August and is $100/week. It's affiliated with the Baptist church in a neighboring town and won't be much out of the way to take baby on the way to work. Symptoms- super hungry, super thirsty, super tired (even though I am getting plenty of good sleep), and as always, stupid indigestion. But- I'm not complaining!
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Nothing today. Browsing the nursery design thread for ideas to steal!
GTKY: Do you have any bad habits that you're trying to quit, cut back on or improve? What are they? I used to bite my fingernails really bad but I haven't been doing that since pregnant. I also used to smoke and I quit right before I found out I was KU and haven't looked back. I really need to start making better eating choices and getting organized.
Edited to accurately report the cost of daycare. Whoops.
My favorite story:
One time my TV wouldn't turn off and I I said, "oh COME ON you mother fucker" annnd my dog came bolting out of the room like I had called his name. H (then fiance) said, "yeeeeah. We probably shouldn't have kids any time soon. Or ever." And here we are....
On the swearing front, I keep it pretty clean around my daughter but she's definitely picked up "oh my God." It sounds hilarious from her little toddler voice. It's not the coolest thing to have passed on but I can live with it.
@Huskerfanz best wishes at your apt @DeePaddy24 I hear you on the baby movement. I was freaking out for awhile last night because after I felt the pains I described, he was pretty still for awhile. Then of course when I'm trying to go to sleep he starts a karate party. @ahernandez16 Commas! That's a good one! I pride myself on my writing but I too love the comma. @BakerBird525 I also have Old Navy coupons to use- gonna go there this weekend. Happy shopping!
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: I am starving all the time. Quite worried about weight gain, even though I'm not eating particularly badly. I wasn't very hungry during the first trimester so perhaps I am just making up for it now.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Baby names, registry, etc.
GTKY: Do you have any bad habits that you're trying to quit, cut back on or improve? What are they? I'm trying to be more athletic/active. I'm not a very athletic person by nature but I want to set a good example for our children. I was cutting down on alcohol before I got KU, so that may still be a battle once the little one is here (because lbr, three-quarters of a bottle is really much more satisfying than a glass).
@kballew10 I switched to prenatals with DHA and it was a big mistake, I'm having a terrible time keeping them down. I was worried m/s was back, but luckily it wasn't.
@ahernandez16 Really sorry that work sucks. Good luck with the RNP, I hope she shows up!
@NicknShan my doctor recommended Zantac (maximum strength) when I was pregnant with DS so I stocked up on that for this one too. Hopefully it helps you!
@BakerBird525 - I have an Old Navy gift card and I'm trying to figure out what I want to get! It totally counts as prepping for baby...
@mkemommy - I'm good with small groups, but most of the small groups that we hang out with are mostly guys (I'm an engineer, so I don't meet women through work) and I could really use some female friends! I need to get up enough confidence to join groups. I'm hoping having a LO helps with that since I'll have an excuse to join things.
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: I don't really have any rants or raves today. Except maybe I'm ginormous now!! Within the last week, the babies have just popped out! I'm finally almost back up to my pre-pregnancy weight (for the longest time, I just kept losing - whoever thought I would complain about that!?!) I'm starting to feel uncomfortable, which seems super early. But I guess with two babies, that's the way it is!
What are you doing to prepare for baby? This morning, I've been obsessing about all the things I want to do before I go on maternity leave - specifically, stock up on canned food or food I can freeze and clean out my pantry and cupboards. Also, I've been pinning a bunch of nursery stuff in Pinterest. Next month, the doctor is putting me on "limited activity", so I want to have some crafts to do on the weekends so I don't go crazy!
Questions? Nope
GTKY: Do you have any bad habits that you're trying to quit, cut back on or improve? What are they? I need to quit stopping at McDonalds every morning for a breakfast burrito. They're not that great, but it's the easiest breakfast! I, too, swear way too much. And I use too many exclamation points when I write stuff. I'm sure it looks as though I'm always excitedly yelling at you!
Question: I changed my mind, I actually do have a question. I know that we're supposed to be limiting our caffeine but is anyone worried about limiting aspartame? I don't drink coffee but I've been addicted to diet coke for ages (probably one of those things I need to quit). I've done pretty well not drinking any while pregnant, but lately, about once a week, I'll just really need a pick me up and will get a small diet coke (usually with my breakfast burrito!). I know it's not a lot of caffeine but should I be worried about that aspartame? Thoughts?
@jaceyannie it's a good question and I imagine a lot of people have differing opinions on it. I don't drink it every day but I have a diet pop a few times a week, or a "skinny" drink at starbucks or something. I took this approach with my daughter (mindful moderation, but certainly not abstinence!) with my daughter and of course I tend to think since she turned out perfectly then the same approach will be A-OK this time .
@jaceyannie I don't think anyone thinks that aspartame is good for you, but official FDA regulations say that moderate aspartame intake is safe. I've been drinking more diet pop than ever since I got pregnant (to be fair, I very rarely drank pop/soda before pregnancy) at social events, etc. in lieu of wine/beer/cocktails and I haven't been worried. You're only drinking a can a week which is insignificant, imho.
@mkemommy it sounds like restless leg syndrome, I have experienced it pre-pregnancy but its gotten 100xs worse since being pregnant. I lay a pillow just under my rear end when laying on the couch or when I'm in bed - it helps! There are some stretches you can do for it too but I haven't found them that useful.
@jaceyannie my doctor told me 0 aspartame or artificial sweeteners so I cut them out completely. I was never a soda drinker but I have had the random craving for one now & again but I've resisted... definitely talk to your doctor about it!
How far along are you? 19 weeks 6 days!!
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: I survived my last closing shift (till 1030pm last night) until after I return from my maternity leave. I give immense props to anyone who works in any industry on their feet while pregnant. I work a desk job all day but when I do these closing shifts its 5 hours on my feet- by the end of the night I was pretty much crying in pain I had such bad RLP, my feet were killing me, as was my back... so to any of you ladies in retail, food service, anything on your feet while pregnant- HUGE props to you... you are my new heros. I also had my first person stop me to say OMG when she saw my stomach because she didn't know I was PG, so I guess I'm visibly showing now!! I feel like my bump is doubling over night lately.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? A/S tomorrow!! So excited & hoping that our tech/dr. stay mum so we can stay team green!!
Questions? Nope
GTKY: Do you have any bad habits that you're trying to quit, cut back on or improve? What are they? I feel like getting pregnant really took all the bad habits away from me! I no longer drink (too much) wine*, coffee, added sugars or sweeteners... man all the good stuff!! I have been very lazy about exercise though so I'd like to cut back on my laziness and get my butt moving!!
*Edited to add note for clarity because when I read it back it sounded like I was saying I no longer drink too much wine but that left the suggestion that I still drink any - I do not!! I just used to enjoy too much on the weekends
@MsBeachNJ good to know about your doc's opinion re. sweeteners. I should ask my OB too rather than remain blissfully ignorant. Good luck with your appointment!
@ahernandez16 Literally dying laughing at your dog story. That's amazing.
@jaceyannie My doc OKed me putting splenda in my coffee. But that's not aspartame based. I cut out all diet sodas (I was an addict before I got pregnant), so now I'm just drinking regular caffeine free sodas in moderation. Like only when I eat at a restaurant, I'll order a sprite or something like that.
How far along are you? 22w4d
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Rant: DH is super stressed about work and he's just been wandering around the house with a cloud over his head. He may or may not get the second half of his bonus that he was promised so I'm trying to talk him out of buying the SUUUUUPER expensive nursery furniture he wanted. We'll see how that goes. Also, I had crazy nightmares all night last night and didn't sleep very well at all. Rave: The sun is shining, it finally stopped snowing, and I'm actually venturing outside the house today (yay for getting rid of cabin fever).
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Trying to talk my H into a cheaper nursery furniture set. Waiting on my crib bedding and paint swatches to arrive so I can pick a color for our walls and get working on that.
Questions? Are any of you guys planning on making/freezing a bunch of meals before the baby gets here? I'm debating when is a good time to actually start making those. I just don't want to be 9 months pregnant spending all my time in the kitchen.
GTKY: Do you have any bad habits that you're trying to quit, cut back on or improve? What are they? I'm in the same camp as everyone who needs to stop swearing or my son's first word is gonna be fuck. Other than that, my bad habit is getting super fired up about any given project, getting half way through it and then getting bored and stopping. I have a lot of half-finished mini projects all around my house. whoops.
Re: Thursday Check-In
How far along are you? 22 w, 1 d
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Rave: Pregnancy sex is awesome...that is all.
Triplets due 6/29/16 also from an IUI!
How far along are you?

Rant/Rave/Symptoms:
After ranting yesterday that I wasn't feeling him move, my LO has been making himself known since late morning yesterday.

@Huskerfanz FX for a good checkup and healthy cervix!
@DeePaddy24 These are the crib sheets I got. I figured they would be good for either boy or girl

Rant/Rave/Symptoms:
Rant/Symptom- I wake up slightly dizzy and out-of-breath every day.
@tjenkins528 - I'm sorry you aren't feeling well.
@Kballew10 - Being social is hard work (said from one introvert to another). I love smaller group interactions vs big group ones. Would it help to start small? Or join a group centered around a hobby you like?
@tjenkins528 I started using the coloring book last night, and it seems to be very relaxing! It's very detailed and requires some concentration, so I feel like I had lost track of time and my brain kind of shut off for a while. So far I love it!
@mkemommy I'm eating back my exercise calories too. I was thinking growth spurt too because this happens every once in a while where I'm starving all the time, and then the next few days it seems like my bump grows overnight.
@ahernandez16 I hope your work situation gets better
Rant/Rave/Symptoms:
Slept well....until 4 am, then up until 6 or so, dozed until H's alarm at 630.
Swearing.
@Huskerfanz good luck at your appointment!
@Kballew10 yay for halfway!
@mkemommy Glad you’re enjoying yourself
@Huskerfanz Good luck at the appointment today! Hopefully your cervix is looking good!
@DeePaddy24 Prenatal water yoga sounds awesome. I wish I had that around me!
@Mrsschmity LOVE the sheets!
How far along are you? 20+6
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: No new symptoms, just the same ol’ RLP and waking up during the night. I learned yesterday that I have an anterior placenta so no surprise that I’m not feeling baby much yet. Rant: I have to get another ultrasound with a peri after yesterday’s A/S. They will call me “within the next week” to schedule. Why in the world would they make worrying pregnant women wait to schedule an appointment? Rave: Tomorrow is Friday!
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Nothing today.
Questions? Not today
GTKY: Do you have any bad habits that you're trying to quit, cut back on or improve? What are they? I’m trying to get out of the habit of being lazy in the evenings. In the first tri, I was so tired that all I wanted to do was have dinner and go to bed. With a little more energy now, I need to get my butt off the couch and do things!
How far along are you? 22w6d
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Heartburn was slightly better... I think my belly is growing or getting firmer. Yesterday I started to get the rib pain when I sit down.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? DSs room to get him out of the nursery still.
Questions? ** Question Below **
For those that did have strong heartburn (beyond Tums) what did your doctor recommend? The pharmacist recommended Prevacid, and I think that is what I have read. I haven't called my OB yet.
GTKY: Do you have any bad habits that you're trying to quit, cut back on or improve? What are they? I have a lot. I *should* cut back on my Wednesday night runs to Taco Bell before I hit the grocery store. I *should* cut back on my soda intake. I *should* pack a lunch from home more. I *should* close the toilet bowl lid.
I can't say I am actively working on any of those...
DST T4L
@Kballew10 I am wearing my maternity leggings to work today for the first time and I and LOVING IT!
@DeePaddy24 Glad your DH is no longer a twatwaffle. I can't wait to get started on our nursery. So far, I have been consulting with my DH on ideas and he hasn't really given very much feedback so I'm hoping I don't run in to the same problem you had when I start making some real decisions.
How far along are you? 22+1
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Rant- it has been pouring here since mid-day yesterday and our yard is flooded and yucky. We had some pretty serious flooding back in October and still haven't dried out so everyone gets in a bad mood when we get under water again
Whoops.
One time my TV wouldn't turn off and I I said, "oh COME ON you mother fucker" annnd my dog came bolting out of the room like I had called his name. H (then fiance) said, "yeeeeah. We probably shouldn't have kids any time soon. Or ever." And here we are....
@Huskerfanz best wishes at your apt
@DeePaddy24 I hear you on the baby movement.
@huskerfanz Good luck at your appointment!
@MrsBB214 I'm glad your a/s went well! Congrats.
@Huskerfanz - Good luck today!
@MrsB8214 - Congrats on the baby boy!
@denny+lee - $100/month... total? Lord I need to move to where ever you live!
@catherinekate - These new ones have DHA as a separte pill, where my last ones just had it included. FX that's the issue with me too!
I have a lot of half-finished mini projects all around my house. whoops.
