TWTuesday!!

Re: TWTuesday!!

  • @adorkablepixie It would seem you are not alone in situations involving bodily fluids in houses without working water...

My best friend had just bought her house recently after I found out I was pregnant, and was super excited to take me on a tour as soon as she had the keys in hand. Unfortunately, I was not feeling well that day, and totally threw up in her bathroom...and the water hadn't been turned on yet. Thank goodness she's such a good friend, because she just laughed and said that if anybody was going to "christen" her new house in such a way, she was glad it was me and the baby and not something/someone else. I still felt pretty terrible about it, though. :P

  • I have two TW's today. The first is the little girl in my class who laughed, pointed at me, and said "you forgot to brush your hair!". No I didn't, that's just what my hair looks like when I don't straighten it. Second is myself, for drinking so little water I didn't poop for two days and then had to spend an hour in the bathroom, passed something the size of my forearm, and am now bruised on my rear end.

I have so much empathy for you. Back when I had roommates for the first time, I was too embarrassed to poop and didn't for a week. When I finally did, it was horrific. I swore I would never have children because orifices should never have to push out things that large.
  • @TheThornBird right before my big push I said to my baby "okay I'm gunna push, but this time you need to stay put!". He literally did a wiggle dance once it was over!
  • It's Wednesday now but I am having some serious TW tech woes.

Does the bump technical team not run a single regression test to make sure they're not breaking existing functionality when they do a new release? Because it happens EVERY time. Maybe they figure it's the job of their user base to find the bugs instead of their own people?

And speaking of bugs, I come in this morning hoping to close out a whole bunch of them that I saw got resolved at the end of the day yesterday, only to discover the developer in question did not actually build his fix and he won't come strolling in until about 11 AM so I have nothing to do for the 3 hours I am in the office at normal person time.

Okay I am biased because I'm a software tester but COME ON people!

Ha, I bet he thought "thank God I finally have some room in here!"
