Is anyone planning anything special for the 20wk mark? I'm so excited to be almost there after everything we've been through. I told DH I wanted to do a romantic dinner at our favorite spot and I'll probably do a ridiculously goofy happy dance.
Nothing planned. I doubt my H even knows how many weeks pregnant I am. But, I do have two important anatomy scans coming up so if those turn out good - then I will totally celebrate...with FIFTY GLASSES OF WINE.
I'm so excited to be at the hallway mark! Happy dance and ice cream sounds perfect.
@CourtJack I KNOW my H doesn't know how many weeks I am, I asked him last week. Wine sounds great too, but 50 glasses seems extreme, I think I'll limit myself to 48.
You know we also get to celebrate at V day too... Right? 24 weeks? It's the week that doctors say if a baby is born, he or she has the potential to survive.

@laurenm2123 I rationalize ice cream with "baby needs calcium" too!
If we decide to find out the gender, maybe we'll go out to celebrate after the anatomy scan. We have a fav Italian restaurant nearby which is where our rehearsal dinner was. We always go there for celebrations.

Eat. Ice cream. Every. Day.
I have issues with a lot of dairy--it tends to make me really sick. But ice cream doesn't. I actually see a nutritionist because I have a history of an eating disorder and it keeps me accountable. She told me I need to eat at least 2-3 milkshakes a week for the calcium. I love being able to remind my husband of that when I ask him to get me a milkshake or he sees me eating one.
@PBear93 That's awesome! (Not awesome that dairy makes you sick, that other thing about the milkshakes). There are no good places around where I live that make milkshakes that are open in the winter
Back on topic, I'm getting a massage on Monday! Somebody will literally be patting me on the back for making it to 20 weeks

I'll only be 21 weeks on V day. I"m not 24 weeks until the first week of March.
My 20 weeks is next week! I'm really excited to be almost half way there. I have my a/s next week, and if the baby decides to reveal its gender I will most likely treat myself to so cute baby clothes.
@huskypuppy14 V day stands for viability day. It's the day that, if born pre-term, the majority of infants make it. It's generally considered the 24th wk with current neonatal care. (Given the variety of outcomes/long term issues, I'm holding celebrating that till wk 26) it's a really exciting milestone!

Oh, thank you; I had never heard of viability day. I thought she meant Valentines day, which I believe people who about 20 weeks now will be 24 weeks on Valentines day. Coincidence!
I'll be 20 weeks a week from Wednesday. I have my anatomy scan that day, and I'll just celebrate by finding out some clever way of telling the kids if they are having a brother or sister (haven't thought of it yet).
We are at our halfway point this week and tomorrow is also our 2 year wedding anniversary. We are going to go to our favorite little town for the afternoon for a walk on the pier and dinner out. Hopefully the snow doesn't hold us back.
My 20 week mark is Monday!!!! I can't even wait to have this baby. Seriously counting down the days, and I whined on the phone to my mom how I would have to be pregnant 7 weeks longer than I was with my girls. Pregnancy literally brings out the baby in me! (Pun intended)
We had our anatomy scan and found out the sex. Afterwards we had a nice dinner and I had a virgin blended drink. I think the virgin blended drink was celebration enough, haha!
Then we went and bought a boy outfit and my husband keeps bugging me about treating me to some maternity clothes since I'm finally at the point where I can't get normal pants on at least it's a good sign that my hips are FINALLY getting wider.
ETA: Congrats to all the 20 weekers and all those who will be there soon!!!! It was fun switching out the 1 to a 2 on my weekly bump banner.
Celebrated 20wks last night! Ordered all the cheeses and yes, yes that is Maple Bacon Popcorn. Fresh popcorn mixed with bacon pieces and drizzled with caramelized maple sugar. hope everyone had a great halfway Partay!

Dang girl! Ya'll got some serious game.
You're living the pregnant girls dream!! I'm incredibly jealous...& hungry...*drool*
It was a little bittersweet. I could only take a few bites of each thing we ordered, I've been struggling to eat much the past two days. But you better believe I took that popcorn home for later. Nomnomnom!
We have our anatomy scan at 20 weeks exactly, and as long as everything looks healthy, are celebrating by doing pink or blue filled amazing cupcakes from our favorite bakery with our two daughters that afternoon to tell them the sex.
Just joined this party on Thursday! Although I'm happy to be halfway there, I'm also freaking out... bc, from this point forward, with every week that passes we'll be closer to the due date than to the beginning! #FTMfreakout
I was 20 weeks last Sunday and just celebrated by not going to work. I eat like I'm celebrating everyday oops! I told my husband the only thing I really look forward to while pregnant is eating.
I'm 22 weeks tomorrow, but I'm waiting to celebrate purely because I'm too backed up (sorry ladies!!!!) to really want to do much haha. Once it passes (literally) I'm game for a nice mini mimosa
