Rants/ Raves/ Symptoms? Feeling pretty good these days, which sometimes makes me nervous! Pants are starting to not fit, but it doesn't look like I have a baby bump yet. Too much pudge in the way.

One of my dear friends burst into happy tears when we told her, which was awesome. I also was discussing my due date with one of the ladies in my book club (older, wealthy) and told her that I should be starting teaching just a few weeks later, and she said, "Well, I don't think that will be happening!" Um...actually, it will. I have no maternity leave as it's a brand new job. I'm going to have to start the semester on time.

Rants/ Raves/ Symptoms? I thought that my nausea was getting better after having the 24 hour flue bug two weeks ago. However this morning it is back with a vengeance.

GTKY: What's the best or worst advice or comment you've gotten about the baby/ pregnancy? it wasn't said to me but it was said to my husband. When he told his boss about our DD he asked when I would be quitting my job. He told him that I was going back to work after the baby. He was just stunned and said OH. My husband is in sales and all the other sales wives are SAH moms. He gets asked this in a regular basis now and our DD is 6. I am not sure how his boss reacted this time.

GTKY: What's the best or worst advice or comment you've gotten about the baby/pregnancy? I told one of my best friends at Christmas, and she said "OMG THAT'S THE BEST CHRISTMAS PRESENT EVER!!!". She was the first person I told (before my parents or ILs) so that being the first reaction was wonderful.
How big is baby (fruit size or other)? toy soldier, ripe apricot, or a small macaroon.
Rants/ Raves/ Symptoms? I have a cold so that's overriding any symptoms I may still have.

My mom went on a crazy word vomit after we told her, including: (1) I need to quit CrossFit, (2) if I need to give up my dogs, she'll take Olivia Benson, but not the other two, (3) I might get fired from the job I'm starting in August, (4) she'll move to Nebraska to take care of the baby, and (5) my sister was going to be so pissed (my sister was struggling with IF and did her first round of IVF the same month we got pregnant). She's a character.

We haven't told many people yet so I haven't gotten much advice.
How big is baby (fruit size or other)? Lego Man! (when I told my MIL this morning she said she was holding a lego man that my niece had left out followed by lots of heart emojis! lol)
Rants/ Raves/ Symptoms? Signed up for our Bradley Method birthing class last night! It starts in May! I am very excited and the instructor seems really awesome!

GTKY: What's the best or worst advice or comment you've gotten about the baby/pregnancy? So far everyone we have told has had a great reaction so that has been so awesome!
I talked with 2 friends about birthing classes the other night and they both told me they were a waste of time and money, and that they can just tell me their stories. I know they meant well, but neither had the best birth experiences and I don't think they realized the in depth class I was looking at (vs the hospital class they took.) I know they meant well but it was annoying how dismissive they were about it. Meanwhile my mom is so happy and confident in the Bradley Method (used it for my sister 22 years ago, with a VBAC, 36 hour labor, back labor and NO epidural) she offered to pay for the class for us! Awesome!!!!

Rants/ Raves/ Symptoms? The worst symptoms for me are sore boobs, slight nausea. The bloating went down significantly, but I picked up headaches and acne along the way! We FINALLY have our first ultrasound on Tuesday. I can't wait!!

GTKY: What's the best or worst advice or comment you've gotten about the baby/pregnancy? We haven't told many people yet so I haven't got much advice. My good friend said, eat whatever you feel like you can! She didn't judge when I said I just wanted doughnuts and Mac and cheese.

Rants/ Raves/ Symptoms? Still exhausted and nauseous pretty much all day. Would really like to start feeling up to exercising again! I'm much happier when I get to work out!
Questions? Nope, second time around and just ready to tell work so I can start showing off my 12 week bump that appeared about two months earlier than the first time.
GTKY: What's the best or worst advice or comment you've gotten about the baby/pregnancy? Nothing this time, but the first time my MIL said: "Don't do anything strenuous, like vacuuming." Well, working out four days a week is more strenuous than that, I think I'll be ok to continue keeping my house clean...

I haven't gotten much advice this time around because it's my third but my first pregnancy I got a ton... The worst was when someone went through my registry and made a list of things I should add and remove.. I was SO annoyed haha I hate unasked for advice.

My MIL thanked me profusely for making her a grandma and when she talks to my H only asks how baby is doing. I know she means well she's just pushing all my buttons.
