FFFC 1/29/16

Let's hear those confessions. Keep in mind, they are rarely flame free.

Same. Actually brought new brush cleaner yesterday because I felt so guilty.
  • I want to smack someone at work. This person is being difficult for no reason other than to be a pain and just rejected a work item for doing what it was supposed to do. And now I just had to spend 45 mins explaining why they did their job incorrectly. Not that any of that matters bc they sent it back again essentially saying 'sorry, but I'm not passing this'. I didn't even look at it again beyond that and sent it to my lead. I'm not dealing with stupid idiots today.

I bought a beta fish and set up a 1 gallon tiny tank at work for him... I'm not sure if that is actually allowed but I'm just not going to mention anything. Yay fish friend at work!!!
That's awesome! I need an aquarium at work! I'm pretty sure our facilities manager would flip his shit if he walked in my office and saw one...which would make it even better! I

My office won't even allow me to have an air purifier so I don't feel like I am dying in here. Jealous you get to have a pet!

  • I too want to smack someone at work.  Yesterday an employee came to me all upset because he wasn't permitted to sign up for health insurance when he should have been.  So I go and file a loooong appeal for him, because it wasn't right.  I get the response today - turns out he lied about the whole thing.  They offered him the insurance and he decided he wasn't interested because he didn't want to pay for it.  So now I look like a jackass who doesn't know what's going on because this guy decided he would intentionally give me wrong information.
  • Decided I am going to call in sick Monday for my Glucose Test. DH and I are going to play hooky the rest of the day. Really need a break from work and co- workers and dammit I deserve a three day weekend
  • I've got my feet elevated because they're so swollen and I'm using the awkward positioning to excuse my terrible work ethic today. It's just really hard to post all of this account activity when I can't work ergonomically...
  • I have the responsibility of doing cold calls at work, so since I'm not in the mood to annoy old clients or really to deal with ppl today after the morning I had, I signed off and emailed my regional saying I made all the cold calls due when really I'm sitting here eating peanut butter and watching YouTube videos while reading TB :)
  • My GD test results came back normal yesterday so I brought a little box of those conversation hearts for a snack. But I'm going to the gym after work so I don't feel guilty. Not that I would if I wasn't going to the gym.
  • @Aquinna82 I would be so ticked off! I will typically go to bat for my associates, especially when I feel they are right, but I would not want to help him out again after a stunt like that...

Why do they make so many freakin maternity shirts that have horizontal strips?!?! As IF I didn't already feel huge! Let's make a ton of shirts with the most unflattering pattern for a woman gaining weight to wear!
I was just thinking this the other day while browsing maternity tops. I mean, it's just such an unflattering pattern that makes me look about twice as big as I already am!  Unfortunately, maternity "fashion" doesn't seem to have changed significantly in the past several decades (see 1980s ad below). I've seen variations of each of these outfits recently. Sure, there are a few better options now, but I still don't feel "fashionable" in anything I wear these days. :/

I don't know about you, but I would totally rock that green pantsuit. All about the collar baby! Ooof.

Is it bad that I would totally rock that red dress?

That's my FFFC too... Doing it right now actually. And I went one further and lied and said I was doing the three hour test to make it seem like a more legitimate sick day. Hoping that I don't fail my one hour now - karma!

Exactly.  In the future he's getting a "here's the web site.  File an appeal with your info."
  • I normally don't judge other moms. Seriously I never care what other people do with their kids. However, I saw a pic on fb of a child strapped into a car seat with a HUGE puffy jacket. I mean huge. There's no way that is safe.

I'm not close with this person so I passive aggressively posted a video about car seat safety.
Good for you!! I repost every car seat safety post I see because people don't freaking get it!!! It's life and death!
  • I think it is redundant to call any kind of shower "gift grabby."

    I thought this too!!!
  • My confession is that I don't wear makeup. Ever. And I never have.
Me neither. I don't even know how to properly put on makeup. I did have someone put makeup on me for my wedding.
My wedding is also the only time I've ever gone for a mani/pedi. And I don't think I've worn nail polish since!

  • Next week is my last week of work and I am already basically checked out. I'm so sore and exhausted and I know the end is near so I'm pretty much autopiloting...and milking the pregnancy thing. And I don't even feel bad.

Same here! I wouldn't know what to do even if I wanted to wear makeup. My sister in law did my makeup for my wedding.
