How far along are you? 20+6 (I feel like time is all of a sudden going faster...where did this last week go?)
Rant/Rave/Symptoms? Rant: My body does not feel like a wonderland lately. I do, however, feel like some kind of motherly, boobied goddess. I told H he can start calling me "Goddess of the World" from now on. Rave: H thinks my new body is sexy. Symptoms: Pressure & RLP. Growing boobs & belly.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Same as before. My sister is coming over next week to help me get starting on re-purposing an old dresser into a changing table. Home Depot, here we come!
GTKY: I feel like I'll ask the same question every Friday....what are your weekend plans? Tonight H and I are having movie, pizza & milkshake night on the living room floor. Tomorrow we're helping his uncle process some pork that we got from him and Sunday...more ice fishing on the agenda
@mrsschmity - H is also a big fan of the boobs. I feel chubby, he seems to like it. Whatever floats your boat, man. Nice new title though! @cmiller36 - Swimming? Indoors or are you one of the lucky not-snow-bound ones? I miss AZ sometimes for that reason... How far along are you? 19w1d
Rant/Rave/Symptoms? I had like 10 bites of food last night for dinner and felt like a freaking blimp. It was awful. Rave: It's FRIDAY! And we have visitors coming up! And I get fat pants this weekend! Rant: I forgot to clean the house for their arrival so we will be speedy cleaners in the couple hours after work and before they arrive. They wouldn't care, but the patches dog hair that spontaneously tumble across the kitchen floor are not really "guest appropriate", even if those guests are family and bestest friends.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Checked up on other day care prices, had a mini heart attack, told H that we're going to be broke forever, signed LO up for day care anyway. Ugh.
Questions? Is it possible to healthily get to 20 weeks without having a noticeable bump? And still waking up on my stomach? I feel like I'm not a large person (5'3") and there can't possibly be enough space in there for a mango sized baby, but...
GTKY: I feel like I'll ask the same question every Friday....what are your weekend plans? Buying fat pants! My BIL and pregnant SIL are coming to visit so that we can head up to the Motherhood Maternity Outlet nearby! Comfort, here I come! Also, maybe eating cake in preparation for my birthday on Monday. And because cake is always a good choice.
Rant/Rave/Symptoms? Rant- Just waiting to hear when we get to make it to the specialist, waiting game on what's going on with our LO until then... Rave- I'm so thankful for a husband who is so sensitive and in tune to my needs. He's struggling with the news just as much and is willing to show it and just cuddle with me but is then making sure we stay busy and remain as positive as we can. I'm so lucky to go through this journey with him!
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Taking just a little pause until we know more. I can't focus on anything too baby specific without crying...
Questions?
GTKY: I feel like I'll ask the same question every Friday....what are your weekend plans? Try and stay busy
@mrsschmity Please track your progress! I love DIY projects. Post pics here @cmillar36 I hear ya. My dog was up hourly last night for some reason. Sleep training I guess. Caffeine here too!
How far along are you? 22 weeks today!
Rant/Rave/Symptoms? I am seriously feeling enormous right now. Like extra wide. Not like cute belly. I am starting to have some self esteem issues already - this happened the first time around too. Some people wear pregnancy beautifully. Some don't. However - pregnancy in general is beautiful, and I am so thankful for that.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Same old same old. Still just getting DSs room ready. This morning I was doing research on how to paint trim.
Questions? Anyone have any tips on painting trim? Ours is maple oak - going to white.
GTKY: I feel like I'll ask the same question every Friday....what are your weekend plans? Read above. All I will be doing is working on my sons room. I am looking forward to Sunday thought... Crock pot ribs and homemade mac n cheese.
@junebabyjoy Hugs to you It's great that you have a good support system in your DH! We'll be thinking of you.
@NicknShan I'll definitely share the progress pics with you guys! I love DIY projects, and this way we don't have to shell out money for a brand new changing table. Also, I've seen your HDBD pics...you look like a goddess too
@cmillar36: I've been sleeping like crap too. I cannot seem to get comfortable anymore no matter how many pillows I pile around me.
@Kballew10: Have fun shopping this weekend! Yes, cake is always a good choice. Thinking of making one to celebrate my SIL being PG also. That's a great reason for cake, right?
@mrsschmity : Sounds like a fun weekend! I'm still waiting for my boobs to grow, but sometimes I wonder how my belly can possibly get bigger. It's feels so full and stretched sometimes! How far along are you? 19w4d
Rant/Rave/Symptoms? Rant: Um...had to come in to work today on time? Rave: IT'S FRIDAY!! And I have a 'rescheduled doctor's appointment' so I'm leaving early. I just couldn't work a full day. Symptoms: Lots of heartburn this morning.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Finally going to do registry stuff tomorrow! I can't wait! Will also try to finish cleaning out the nursery.
GTKY: I feel like I'll ask the same question every Friday....what are your weekend plans? Pizza and WoW tonight (sooo exciting, haha). Registering at Buy Buy Baby tomorrow! Then Sunday dinner with family. Either myself or my SIL will host.
Me - 33, DH - 33 Married - May 2014 DH - Low Count/Motility/Morph - Varicocele vein x 2 - surgery (8/11) - success! BFP - 10/10/15, EDD - 6/20/16 - It's a BOY! @mrsschmity - I have maternity leggings (which are the BEST), but there isn't anywhere in town that sells maternity pants, so I had to wait. I'm not patient.
@junebabyjoy - I hope you hear back soon! The waiting must be awful! I'm glad that your H is being incredible!
@NicknShan - You may not feel beautiful, but I'm sure that everybody else sees you that way! Your HDBD pic was adorable and not enormous at all!
@BakerBird525 - Yes, that is a fabulous reason for cake! Congrats to your SIL!
Rant/Rave/Symptoms? My chest is soooo big... I don't find this attractive, I feel chubby. DH is happy but I too am having some insecurities about it because I feel like my boobs are way overshadowing my bump...
What are you doing to prepare for baby? New day same stuff, registry online, working, trying to save $$.
Questions? None today
GTKY: I feel like I'll ask the same question every Friday....what are your weekend plans? Tonight DH and I are having dinner with one of my best friends and her boyfriend, looking forward to a big Italian meal!! Tomorrow we'll be heading an hour north to my families for my sisters 40th birthday party. Sunday - relaxing!!
Rant/Rave/Symptoms? Slept better, weirdly. Apparently 3 am I'd going to be baby party time, and I don't mind! Like PPs, the boob fairy is working her magic. H and I are super happy about it
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Cleaning more stuff out today/this weekend. Physically going to BRU (finally!) to work on registry stuff: furniture, stroller/carseat, crib bedding, glider, etc. Looking to test out the Chicco Bravo stroller + keyfit 30 carseat, maybe Britax travel system, and see if anything else catches our eye to try.
GTKY: I feel like I'll ask the same question every Friday....what are your weekend plans? Visiting friends tomorrow BRU registry Kitchen showrooms and countertop fabricators (YAAAAAY) Obligatory Home Depot visit, because e wind up going every single weekend, ha. Nap Milkshake, because @mrsschmity inspired me.
@mrsschmity I love the new title!! H is definitely enjoying my larger boobs too!
@kballew10 Enjoy the maternity clothes shopping!!!
@junebabyjoy I'm keeping you and your LO in my prayers!
@nicknshan I'm struggling with my changing body as well. I thought I would just feel beautiful and amazing, I definitely underestimated how much the changes would effect me.
How far along? 18+6
Rants/Raves/Symptoms: Rant- I feel like a giant and still think people probably just think I'm overeating not growing a human. Also our A/S is Wednesday and I'm so nervous. I didn't realize how many problems they could find on the scan and I'm freaking out. Rave: It's Friday! I get to sleep in tomorrow! Symptoms: RLP is still a b****
What are you doing to prepare for baby: Worrying about the upcoming A/S and getting huge.
Questions: None
GTKY: I need to work on a project for school My little sister has a cheer competition Sunday so I'm going to that. I think that's about it
@Kballew10 with my first people kept telling me I wasn't showing until well after 30 weeks. I'm 5'2" and I felt pretty enormous by that point. But yeah, it can be normal to not really show even when you're small.
@NicknShan I like to do it without removing from the wall, otherwise it's a big headache to get it back on (also when I was 15 and painting the house, for some reason we removed the trim and I ended up stepping on it and having the nail go all the way into my heel, AAAAGGGHHH). Use a good brush and a semi-gloss enamel. You can do it without tape if you're really careful and have a good brush but it's probably safer to tape everything.
How far along are you? 19+5
Rant/Rave/Symptoms? I don't think I've ever been so tired in my life. My toddler is having a really hard time with reflux lately (going to the doc on Monday) and the night before last was up three times to barf all over my bedding and was restless and miserable in between. Last night mercifully no puking but she had a night terror at 3am and ended up waking up completely when it was over rather than going back to sleep. Then she was up for the day at 6:30 instead of her usual 8am. I am a zombie.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Still in the midst of kitchen renovations. My apartment is a disaster...every room is either filled with stuff that's supposed to be stored in the kitchen, or a million IKEA boxes full of as-yet-unassembled cabinets. I am way too exhausted to deal with this shit.
Questions? Anyone else feel like their hips are so loose they're virtually dislocated? Any tips on how to deal and relieve the pain?
GTKY: I feel like I'll ask the same question every Friday....what are your weekend plans? Hopefully finishing the kitchen so we can get back to life as normal!
How far along are you? 18 week(repeat)...it's like groundhogs day over here!
Rant/Rave/Symptoms? No rants today. I'm kind of just feeling lucky to be here with my little girl. Rave - my SO's mom, who does not like me at all, called me to check on us (me & LO) last night. She was very sweet and she prayed for us over the phone before she hung up. She hasn't been happy about this pregnancy at all so I felt like this was a big step. Symptoms - crazy heartburn and trouble sleeping.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Putting crib together. Also, her chandelier came yesterday so hopefully we will get that put up as well.
Questions? None right now.
GTKY: I feel like I'll ask the same question every Friday....what are your weekend plans? DS and I will be having movie night tonight. We have an odd custody agreement so my ex has him 3 weekends a month. When we get an extra weekend (months with 5 weekends) we always do movie night. I love it!! Working on baby's room and spending some needed time with SO.
@mrsschmity My H is like yours - yesterday when I was looking at my belly trying to see how pregnant I look, he said how sexy I am...I feel like a big blob!
@KBallew10 I don't have much of a bump at 20 weeks, but look a bit rounder than I did before. I can wake up on my stomach without being uncomfortable, but it almost feels like I'm laying on something small and hard. I'm sure baby is in there somewhere -maybe our internal organs are just more accommodating
@NicknShan Ugh on the dog waking you up (see my rave below!)
How far along are you? 20 weeks! Halfway there
Rant/Rave/Symptoms? Rant: I think that I have bronchitis or a bad chest cold. It is miserable. Rave: For the past month or so, my dog has been waking up at like 2am and 4:30am every day. Eventually realized that she just woke up, wanted a treat, and would go back to bed. I forced my husband to ignore the whining and we basically sleep trained her - last night is the 3rd night in a row that she has let us sleep thorugh the night! YAY! Symptoms: A little RLP, but that's about it right now.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Researching CD. There is so much to take in and learn!
Questions? Not today
GTKY: I feel like I'll ask the same question every Friday....what are your weekend plans? FIL is coming to visit, my sister is coming on Sunday so that I can help her finish a baby quilt for her friend, and we're going to a basketball game on Sunday. Jam packed weekend!
@Kballew10 I'll be 20w tomorrow (STM) and have barely any bump. I have to wear tight clothes to see it at all. I can still asleep on my stomach with no discomfort. I will admit I am a little nervous about our A/S on Monday.
Rant/Rave/Symptoms? Feeling a few good kicks here and there. But when I put a hand on my abdomen to see if maybe H could feel them too....I get crickets. This baby has been so stubborn! Also, if the baby could stop kicking me in the cervix...yeah...that'd be greeeat.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Nothing much today. I have an eye exam. So I guess we'll see if this pregnancy has screwed with my vision like the first one did.
GTKY: I feel like I'll ask the same question every Friday....what are your weekend plans? Dinner with friends at a new place tonight! Then house projects if I can decide how to approach it. Big playdate on Sunday for my daughter and 5-6 of her friends.
June 2016 April Siggy Challenge: Reasons my kid is crying
@mrsschmity ditto to time flying! I can't believe how fast this seems to be going by.
@cmillar36 hope you can catch up on sleep this weekend
@kballew10 you won't regret the stretchy pants, they're sooo comfortable. I'm 19 weeks and can still sleep on my stomach and to people who don't know I'm pregnant I still just look a little chubbier than normal. I can feel the top of my uterus expanding upwards so I know the baby is growing, they just seem to be growing up, not out a ton yet.
How far along are you? 19+0
Rant/Rave/Symptoms? Feeling pretty good, loving my small but there-if-you're-used-to-staring-at-my-torso little belly. Rave- our dog doesn't have giardia like we feared, likely just generic bacterial irritation in his intestine that caused the runs, nothing that the antibiotics they gave him can't handle. Rant- the test to rule out parasites did find a high load of lungworm eggs. We have no freaking clue how or where he managed to get it and even the vet had to read up on what to do since he hasn't ever seen it. It's simple to treat but seriously, wtf have you been eating dog?? Also, the antibiotics he's on are causing some majorly awful gas. I can't sit next to him on the couch, its so disgusting.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Finished up the few thin patches in the nursery. Just need to touch up the ceiling and molding a smidge and then the paint in there will be totally done. DH will be sanding down the dresser I used in college and then we're repainting it, maybe this weekend, we'll see.
GTKY: I feel like I'll ask the same question every Friday....what are your weekend plans? Baby prepping.
Rant/Rave/Symptoms? Had the anatomy scan this morning & our baby BOY was wiggling all over the place. He was stubborn (like his Dad, lol), but I think they got all the pictures they needed. I'm definitely in a bit of shock right now, and DH is over the moon! ❤️
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Having a little reveal for our family tonight, so after my OB appt we're going to get decorations for that.
Questions?
GTKY: I feel like I'll ask the same question every Friday....what are your weekend plans? Gender reveal tonight, tomorrow DH & j are going out for dinner to celebrate. Other than that we'll just be relaxing.
@mrsschmity - Damn right, your pregnant body is sexy. Work it, girl.
@kballew10 - By week 20 my bump was out in full force...its has grown overnight in the last few days and I'm clearly pregnant now to strangers (I'm 5'4"). Happy early birthday!
@NicknShan - You ARE beautiful. I get how you feel but from a third-unbiased-party, take it from me.
@MrsBeachNJ - Hugs, I'm sorry you feel that way. I love my bigger boobs but I only started with C cups. What did you start with? Where are you now (if you don't mind me asking of course)?
@MrsB8214 - Sounds like a common theme right now...I think everyone is feeling large. YOU are beautiful too.

Rant/Rave/Symptoms? So grateful it is Friday
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Plumber is coming on Monday for our bathroom remodel (we finally found one)!!! We are doing some prep work this weekend for the bathroom to get ready. Also, hopefully putting the crib together.
GTKY: I feel like I'll ask the same question every Friday....what are your weekend plans? Bathroom remodel stuff and going to a baby shower.
Rant/Rave/Symptoms? OMG A COOOOLD!!! Whhhhhhhhhy??? I can't breath, my throat hurts, I can't sleep, sinuses are on fire all day! UGH
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Ordered the furniture and it should be here early next week.
Questions? How can I make my sinuses not feel like they are burning so I can breath through my nose. I've tried neti pots, teas, steam showers, humidifier, and nothing has worked
GTKY: I feel like I'll ask the same question every Friday....what are your weekend plans? Nothing actually except for a D&D game Sunday
Rants/Raves/Symptoms: Had our scan yesterday. The tech was weird. She didn't talk the entire time and then finished up, said "yep. He's a boy" and that the doctor would call us after he read her measurements. Even a half hearted "looks great" would've been nice. Hopefully, he calls soon. I'm hoping if anything was really wrong we would've heard something by now....
Also we bought a new car yesterday! I was a little sad (okay, a lot) saying goodbye to my Jeep but not dealing with a 2 door car and a carseat will be worth it. H was impressed with my negotiation skills with the dealer. I was able to get our monthly payment on a brand new car (Nissan Sentra), with a trade in that was way under water VERY close to what we're paying now. It was fun lol.
GTKY: What are your weekend plans? Homework. Might go to Target to register on Saturday. We're a little broke until I go back to work full time after the baby is born sooo I don't imagine we'll be doing anything exciting any time soon. Haha
Rant/Rave/Symptoms? My rant is minor, but I've been somewhat annoyed at how seriously my husband has been taking baby advice from people at work. Like yesterday he came home saying someone at work told him that we need to get a wedge pillow to use for sleeping right when our baby is born so that our baby doesn't end up needing a helmet. He thought it was great advice. Ummm newborns can't use pillows at night right when they're born - SIDS! And why assume our baby will end up needing a helmet?? Just stuff like that he takes serious and comes homes with every day. I know he's just trying to help so I've been trying to be nice about it but it's getting old lol. "So and so at work told me..." Oh here we go!
Rave is that its the weekend!! And I'll actually be able to spend time with said husband !
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Putting the crib together this weekend! Also getting some baby stuff on sale for "baby week"
Questions?
GTKY: I feel like I'll ask the same question every Friday....what are your weekend plans? Pizza tonight! I've been looking forward to it all week also this weekend is supposed to be in the 40s or 50s, so probably taking the pups on some much needed walks. Other than that, netflix and food with my husband! We did get invited to a work get-together for my husband's work. But everyone always gets drunk and it doesn't start until 830. I go to bed at 9ish... So we'll see. If my husband really wants to go we will.
Married July 2014 DD born June 2016 Second due August 2020 (team green!)
Rave - baby didn't wake up at 4am! I still woke up, but she was pretty still in there, so I could fall back asleep And I found out my friend that I haven't seen in over a year is coming into town next weekend! Symptoms? - my back has been getting more and more sore. Time to break out the yoga ball!
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Officially planning on doing the nursery this weekend.
GTKY: I feel like I'll ask the same question every Friday....what are your weekend plans? Painting and finishing the nursery, cleaning, visiting family and a chili bowl on Sunday!
@NicknShan: Does the trim have polyurethane on it? If yes, scuff the glossy surface first with a medium grade steel wool or fine sanding block, wipe down and vacuum dust, tape edges (unless you're also painting walls and ceiling, since if found its easiest to paint trim first), paint with semi-gloss enamel paint. As I recall, we didn't sand our varnished trim when we painted a couple of years ago, and got a couple of rips in the paint when we pulled tape. Just touched them up, but that's largely avoided by sanding for a grippier surface. Also, I think we used Behr Ultra semi-gloss with paint + primer. It's a water-based paint, and worked fine over the varnish. Have fun! Also, I second everyone who said your HDBD pics are always gorgeous! I understand what you mean about struggling with body changes. My skin is horrific, and that's been one change that's hard for me to deal with.
@DeePaddy24: Congrats! Glad your appt went well, and how exciting you're having a baby boy!
@mkemommy: Woohoo for hiring plumbers! Hope construction goes well!
Yay for all the ladies shopping and with fun weekend plans!
@Emztron500 have you tried sleeping with a pillow between your knees? My OB also said to try and avoid/adapt anything that separates the knees too far. I.e. When getting out of a car, swing both legs around rather than throwing one out.
@NicknShan agree with Emz. I left mine on, taped, and definitely use a good primer.
@SGoldberg247 glad your dog is doing better, even though he's gassy.
@mkemommy Thank you I started with a 36C/D, I'm now overly uncomfortable in a 36DD, yesterday I wore a 38F and it was the first day that I didn't need to rip my bra off the moment I got home from work. I think I'm struggling because I lost about 25 pounds over the last 4 years (I've never been overweight per-say but I def. benefited from losing that weight) and now its all coming back, obviously its for a great reason!! But its still hard to get used to and not to feel the frumpy, uncomfortable I felt before losing the weight. I appreciate the support!!
For the record...when I say that my boobs are growing that means I started out with a small B and have now upgraded to a large B. Might not seem like much, but the added cleavage is making me giddy.
@hockeyfan42 Ditto. With the 50/50 odds of having a boy or girl, I feel like the boy odds have already been used up, so that must mean I'm having a girl. That's logical, right?
@Sgoldberg247: Yikes! Glad that it is something easily treatable and hope he feels better soon! Dogs will seriously eat anything it seems. I know someone whose dog ate a whole pound of raw hamburger that was defrosting on the counter AND the packaging! And I mistakenly left a stick of butter too close to the edge and it was gone and most of the wrapper.
@junebabyjoy: Thinking of you and your LO. So glad you have a supportive hubby.
@adiaz132003 : Ugh, hope you feel better soon!! I wish I had some tips you haven't tried. Umm...have you tried those little nose inhaler things? I'm honestly not sure where you get them or what they're called (real helpful, I know!). They look like a tube of chapstick. DH always had them and they somewhat work. I'm sure they are safe, but may want to check.
@mkemommy: Have fun at the baby shower and GL with the bathroom remodel and crib!
@DeePaddy24 : Congrats on the baby BOY and glad the a/s went well! Have fun with the reveal tonight!
@MrsAlliKat : Hope you feel better soon! Did your dog just start that behavior all of a sudden? That's great you got her back to sleeping through the night. It's so hard to resist them when they are whining. Crate training was the hardest!
Congrats @DeePaddy24 and @ahernandez16 (I can't remember if you knew already or not) on the little boys! Stay strong @mrsschmity! Somebody needs to be left with me on team green!

My Chart
Visiting friends tomorrow
BRU registry
Kitchen showrooms and countertop fabricators (YAAAAAY)
Obligatory Home Depot visit, because e wind up going every single weekend, ha.
Nap
Milkshake, because @mrsschmity inspired me.
GTKY: I need to work on a project for school
@NicknShan I like to do it without removing from the wall, otherwise it's a big headache to get it back on (also when I was 15 and painting the house, for some reason we removed the trim and I ended up stepping on it and having the nail go all the way into my heel, AAAAGGGHHH). Use a good brush and a semi-gloss enamel. You can do it without tape if you're really careful and have a good brush but it's probably safer to tape everything.

@junebabyjoy hugs to you.
How far along are you? 19w6d

@crdo and @BakerBird525 - Enjoy registering!!!

Haha
20w1d!
I've been looking forward to it all week
We did get invited to a work get-together for my husband's work. But everyone always gets drunk and it doesn't start until 830. I go to bed at 9ish... So we'll see. If my husband really wants to go we will.
DD born June 2016
Second due August 2020 (team green!)
Rave - baby didn't wake up at 4am! I still woke up, but she was pretty still in there, so I could fall back asleep
@mkemommy You are so sweet!! Thank you!
I don't know what I would do without you guys. The support here is absolutely amazing!
@NicknShan agree with Emz. I left mine on, taped, and definitely use a good primer.
@SGoldberg247 glad your dog is doing better, even though he's gassy.
@DeePaddy24@ahernandez16 Congrats on your baby boys!
@mkemommyglad you found a plumber!
@adiaz132003 hope you feel better soon!
Same... And I feel like everyone is having boys, so I'll definitely have a girl.

@hockeyfan42 Ditto. With the 50/50 odds of having a boy or girl, I feel like the boy odds have already been used up, so that must mean I'm having a girl. That's logical, right?
@junebabyjoy : Thinking of you and your LO.
@mkemommy : Have fun at the baby shower and GL with the bathroom remodel and crib!
@crdo : Have fun at BRU!

@Sgoldberg247 - I'm glad that your pup is okay! I agree that they eat some questionable things... it's gross.
@mkemommy - Hooray for plumbers!
@adiaz132003 - Feel better!!!
Congrats @DeePaddy24 and @ahernandez16 (I can't remember if you knew already or not) on the little boys! Stay strong @mrsschmity! Somebody needs to be left with me on team green!
Congrats on your baby BOYS @DeePaddy24 and @ahernandez16 !!!
And @mrsschmity I just assume it because, you know, law of averages. H would be thrilled! He really wants another girl.
