Re: TTT

  • @LadySamLady we didn't take that one because our practice offered a course that covered a lot of the same material (course was led by a current NYU L&D nurse). We did the virtual tour/info session and the infant first aid and CPR course through the hospital.

I hadn't been there before the tour so afterwards we found the elevators we would need to take. The walk seemed much longer during labor but it was comforting to me knowing we had already done the walk once.

  • 3. Tmi but is it weird I get excited when I have to do #2 these days and I actually go. I feel so successful. 10. I just clogged my toilet ugh....
You are niether weird nor alone. I too feel accomplished any day I poo and today's success clogged our toilet.
I feel accomplished and also somewhat surprised :smirk:
  • @Merciel. Maternity pants are awesome. Mine feel sturdy. But we might have different standards as I haven't seen any "cheap" clothes for first sale yet. Lol. I picked up most of mine from a consignment shop for really cheap.

    1. My hubby ticked me off early this morning. Trying to blame me for his lack of effort to get us a house. Don't be jumping on me at 630am! Not cool.
    2. Maternity/paternity leave is whack! In the USA. Just about non existent for me and for hubby.
    3. I'm totally looking forward to not going to work even with sleep deprivation on its way.
    4. I didn't take enough advantage of my boss leaving me alone today. I got alot done but could have done sooo much more. My friend distracted me for much of the afternoon.
    5. I have to do ten things now because I need to have a T number to end with.
    6. Dessert was dinner :'(
    7. School is back in session tomorrow so we get our clients back for a full day as well. I'm so excited....Sarcasm is fun.
    8. I got to hold a two month old today. So cute. I'm ready to hold my baby. Well a full term baby please.
    9. I will of course be ready soon after to pass the child on as often as people are willing to cooperate. :D
    10. I have completed my first ten things! I'm awful chatty today. Think it's my third post today.

  • You know, now that I've worn them around for a little bit, I think it's just that I'm not used to jeans being this... stretchy.

They feel like fake clothes almost. Like little kid training pants, before they're coordinated enough to work buttons or zippers.

It's really weird. But hey, can't complain, I just needed something to walk the dogs in and these seem like they'll do the job.
  • @valerie4786 ibotta is awesome! It's super easy and you can get the cash back to PayPal rather than random gift cards. I've been using it for 6 months or so. Ebates is great too, but for online shopping cash-back.

@BabyL52716 Not weird at al. I am always excited when I poop, especially when it's multiple days in a row. I told DH that being pregnant has really made me appreciate regularly pooping. He lold.

Same here. I get excited when it's anything more than gas, my gas lately has been epic.
  • @swflJD- we toured our hospitals L&D last weekend. They just showed us the 3 rooms that we will be in (one for intake, one for actual labor and delivery, and the finally recovery.) We weren't allowed to see the nursery, and other wings but overall I'm really happy with the hospital. A lot of my birth plan was already standard for them ( immediate skin to skin, delayed bathing, feeding within the hour after birth for bonding) and we have the option to have the LO room in with is. It definitely made it very real that in a few months she would be here!
  • 1. I popped the zipper on my largest/warmest winter coat at the dog park over the weekend and had to order a new one. I ended up getting a regular coat in XL instead of a maternity coat because I plan to wear it for many more winters. It arrived yesterday and it's great having something that fits over the bump, it's comically large but I'm still committed to it. H just laughed and predicted this will be the one and only winter I wear it.

I have also Hulked through my biggest winter coat and my dear friend (who is getting gastric bypass surgery tomorrow! T&Ps please!) gave me a bunch of her "fat" clothes saying "I can't have these in the house!" I now am wearing her HUGE comfy winter coat (size 2XL!!) that is basically a sleeping bag on me (I am only 5'2") and loving it! We were talking about evacuation procedures at the school in case of fire or bomb threat and how to handle the cold temperatures (do we have the kids or teachers grab their coats if we are going to be out in the cold for a while?) and my principal joked that I could probably fit half a classroom in my giant coat! Yo, if it saves lives and keeps me toasty, haters can just keep on hatin'.

Now Taylor Swift is stuck in my head :disappointed:
