My Co-workers and boss are my TW's - they can never get their asses to work on time. Its really annoying. I know things happen and come up where you are running late here and there, but every single day cruising in at 810? Ummm no. IF your job begins at 8 be there at 8. ARGH

I had a lead therapist at my internship do this EVERY DAY but it was between 10 and 20 minutes late, and we started each day with an 8am meeting.  Then she would hole herself up in her office and send emails asking questions that we went over in the meeting...

  • Parents in my neighborhood are serious twat waffles. We live on a road that dead ends into a low income area and I have babysat the kids here on multiple occasions without even knowing the kid(s) or their parents. I would come home and see children playing on my property and tell them they weren't supposed to be there when we weren't home and without our permission. Their response was that their mom left them at our place and I'm supposed to watch them.

Umm, what?! I can't even imagine this. So you are expected to be responsible for all the neighborhood kids without being told? That is just simply bizarre.

Maybe I'm just not an understanding but I would call child protective services on them, if they are willing to leave their kids at your house unsupervised where else are they willing to leave them?
  • @laurenmdrn16 you are having a BAD DAY!!!!!  OMG.

and @thismakes4 I agree with @bookelf221 ... I think I'd call too.  Who does that??
  • Ugh!  I can't imagine having to work in a 77degree office!!  That's so hot!  You sound way more reasonable.

Oh, it gets better! I just got a call that the joint credit card that MH and I have is past due to the tune of $595 and is completely maxed out. MH and I had a deal that if I handle the mortgage/child care costs, he would be in charge of credit card and utility bills. So I massively TW'd out and just called and took his name off the credit card. Yup, he better not even try to use that piece of plastic today! I sent him a super passive aggressive text and am not looking forward to tonight.

  • Having coworkers show up at 8:10 sounds like heaven. I work on a team of all-male developers and most of them trickle in between 9:30-10:45. Crazy to me.

This week's TW is DH for me. He is really unhappy at his job right now and completely overwhelmed between us buying a house and preparing for twins, which is understandable, but somehow your pregnant wife seems to be taking everything in stride and managing not to be a terrible person to be around. (At least I think so.)

His latest thing is complaining about all the appointments - OB, perinatologist, pediatrician interviews (that haven't even started yet), daycare tours (which we are done with), childbirth classes, etc. It's getting to the point where I dread telling him we need to set an appointment for something because he's just going to complain that there are too many appointments and he can't just leave work whenever I want him to. Yep - because *I* dictate the doctors' schedules...
  • 10:45? Man, I roll into work at like 5 pm most days.

(and yes, it's an office job, and yes, all my coworkers keep normal hours, and no, there's no particular reason I don't, except that we are allowed "flexible hours" and if that gives me license to live like a vampire, by god I will do just that)
  • Today is dedicated to my DH ... He has issues with bipolar and balancing his emotions so typically I am the strong one in the relationship, and surprisingly, through this pregnancy. However, enough with giving me $@&! When I have 1 minor mood swing. I mean, one, I'm human and I'm allowed to. Two, I'm pregnant and allowed to be hormonal. Three, I work 12 hour days and I'm exhausted. Four, you work from home and barely make an income... Suck it up dude!!!
  • @laurenmdrn16 Gross, she wanted you to check her IUD?! Why on earth would anyone think a coworker wants to get all up in their hoo-hah?!
  • I will have to read through everyone's TW's later when I get home, but I finally have one big enough (to me) to post about.

I got to work this morning at 9 am and the first thing I had to deal with is someone's software having issues. Well it turns out our main outsourced IT company decided it was okay to delete two of our computer users from our server. We had to completely recreate their users and re setup ALL of their software and e-mails. I am so beyond pissed. It took them FIVE hours to finally get everything fixed! That is five hours that three employees couldn't do the work they were supposed to be doing. Ugh, my day has completely gone to waste. Happy TW Tuesday to me!

  • Farrah from teen mom is the biggest twat waffle everrrrrrr!.... Ahhhh. Ok. That is all.

The low income area is so bad here. If that ever happens again I will definitely call CPS. I just don't understand these people. I have a hard time leaving my kids with people I trust and know.

  • @Knottie30128190 this is from CA, but I'm sure there are a million other sites with info like this. You should keep your office no higher than 73 degrees :)https://www.ccohs.ca/oshanswers/phys_agents/thermal_comfort.html
I would be dying at 76, ugh. Gross!

  • My TW is a woman I work with. She's a teacher at the school and both of her kids are in my class. Yesterday someone flooded the bathrooms Home Alone style and were pretty sure it was her kids (they basically confessed, but we have no official proof). Today she was talking to every parent who came to her door about it (my entire class could hear them!) and then she came in at lunch to ask me if I knew who "really" did it because she "just didn't really think it was her kids", and then she went to the office to ask the office manager if she had heard anything about it. So unprofessional!
Second TW goes to my students, who because of the bathroom incident listed above and no one officially saying they did it, they have lost all individual bathroom passes and have lost completely "leaving the room" duties. No chores (which they love), no library this week, and no going to the bathroom whenever they want- we have to go as a group like the kinders (we're second/third). I told them I was disappointed and we were grounded from being outside the room on our own. Hopefully someone comes clean soon and I can let them do shit for me- I hate taking out my own trash :)
