I am and will be 24 when this bean is born - was 22 with DS. DH will be 33, so if we average out the difference I guess we'll land in the majority section lol.
27! I'm lumped in with the almost thirties! It will be weird to not be a "young mom" this time around. I know 27 is young but for where I live and what I do, 22 was freakish! Eta: I was 22 with my first
I totally get this and I still feel SO young at 24 since my side of the family have babies later. I believe my stepmom told me with a disapproving look "you can join teen mom" when I was pregnant last (at 22, married, homeowner with an established career). Since we already have one, I'm expecting fewer of those comments this time around but we'll see...
Me too. I have to do the math every time. My dad used to say the same thing, when I was a kid, and I always thought that was weird, but now I get it. I recently thought, "I can't believe I'm 29 and I still [do something... can't remember what it was]. No wait, I'm 30. No, 31." An hour later, I was like, "No, I'm 32."
I'm 26 and will turn 27 on June 26th. It was cool being the same age as my birthdate finally! I'm the same age my mom was when she had me, down to turning 27 while pregnant. ❤️
@TheTamedShrew thanks for starting this!! I keep waiting for the 31-34 categories to increase but I guess I should stop holding my breath. I'm with @AnnaS930 as I'm constantly forgetting how old (young ) I am!
I had one first little princess right before my 21st birthday. My second at 25. My husband and I really wanted our last two closer in age. Well we were just shocked to find out we are expecting twins! We are extremely excited. I will be 26 this will be final pregnancy.
Okay, now I read the replies and I shouldn't have said I wouldn't be a young mom this time. I'll still be young just not like "whaaaaat?" Like I used to be. Also I hope I'm lucky enough to have a baby when I'm in my late 30s!
Ha I was about to say... I still feel pretty young at 25 (26 in April)! Lol. Although I always still think of myself as like 22-23 for some reason.
Glad to see some same age and younger than me! I'm the second youngest person in my other BMB. ETA: it will be my third!
32 and having our first one . Not very many of my friends have kids yet. I think in the SF Bay Area, particularly the Silicon Valley, women sometimes wait until much later to have children. (So this forum has been a lifesaver for commiserating, insight, and since we haven't really shared the news yet!)
