We have lots of play time early evening from 6 to 7:30 ish. Bath is anywhere between 7:30 and 8, then we read, I nurse and he's in his bassinet by the latest 8:30. If he doesn't fall asleep nursing he's really good about going down awake. He sleeps until about 2 (although recently it hasn't been a long. ..4 month regression???) then until 4 comes in bed with me and from there will sleep until 8:30 ish.
My son is formula fed and wakes up at night 1-2 times to eat. And he eats ALOT at those times. Did those of you who sleep trained have little ones who woke up to eat? Or did they wake up just crying out of fussiness? I am trying to figure out if he is getting up to actually eat then should I not sleep train and just let him eat? Thanks!
@mdandrea1436 mine would wake up to eat at least twice, but would only eat for 5-10 minutes each time so I think it was a combination of eating and soothing. I think he would wake up between sleep cycles, see a boob and want it! in his case, he has a lot of gas and reflux and he was waking up kicking and grunting starting at 4am so I really think taking a break from eating helps him sleep longer and better. Also usually sleep trained babies will just cluster feed a bit during the day to make up for it.
My LO goes down by 9. She falls asleep after a 2 oz. top-off bottle, white noise, and dim lights. She usually wakes up between 3-5 for a small bottle then sleeps in between 7-9. Most of this past week she's been sleeping 9 pm to 7 am straight through, but I didn't get too excited as its now 4 am and we're up lol.
I usually feed him at 10 and we'll walk around for a little bit then I'll put him down in his bed. He'll wake up 5ish for a feeding and the goes back to sleep at 7.
