Anyone deal with a stomach bug yet?

One of my twins started vomiting in the middle of the night and after every feeding. We are now pumping and giving him small amounts every hour or so. Its so scary and i feel so bad for him. Anyone else go through this yet? How long did it last?

    Haven't gone through this, just hope you called your doctor! DD puked twice and we called and they were worried about dehydration.

    My LO threw up a couple times for about 3-4 days. Never took him to the doctors bc I monitored him at home. No fever and no other obvious signs of it being anything other than a bug. Bought gripe water. That seemed to help a bit. He seems fine now. If you're really worried you should call his pedi.

    Called rhe pedi...they said as long as he as a wet diaper every 8 hours we r ok. He has been spitting/vomiting all day...we r not leaving his side. I am just so scared of dehydration. ..he has had wet diapers but not at lot..we r giving him breast milk in a bottle to monitor intake.

    When DD was vomiting, I had to try nursing for 5 minutes every 30-60 minutes while keeping her more upright between feedings. They also suggested 1 tsp of pedialyte every 30-60 minutes for 4 hours if she had spit up or vomit one more time.

    Be sure to check for other signs of dehydration like a sunken soft spot or lack of saliva. Also, does he have a fever? Have you checked his rectal temp? There's a virus going around right now that causes vomiting and a temp in babies.

    UPDATE WE monitored him closely and decided to take him to the ER turna out he needs surgery. He has pyloric stenosis. ...i am so glad we took him...he is recovering so well he is my little champ...he had the surgery this morning. He looks great...it was the scariest day of my life...i was so worried but all the doctors were amazing.
