The Flu

So I was just officially diagnosed with the flu. I'm terrified that my LO is going to get it. Him and dad are at my parents house and plan to stay the night there, but I'm afraid it might be too late. Since I started having a fever, I've been wearing a mask and washing my hands constantly. Anyone else gone thru this yet? If so, did your LO make it thru without getting sick?

    While I didn't have the flu my entire household all got an awful cold and LO got RSV at the same time. My recommendation is to sanitize sanitize sanitize! Lysol became my best friend. Hope you feel better and LO and you husband don't get sick.

    I have had 2 bouts with the flu since DS has been born and have avoided him catching it both times.  He is EBF so we spent a lot of time in close proximity as well.  I washed my hands so much they hurt but it worked!  Good luck.  If you are breast feeding any antibodies you are making for it you are also passing onto him.

    The first two weeks of LO's life, my toddler came down with hand foot mouth, passed it to me, and on top of it I had the flu. LO was fine the entire time.

    I really hope he doesn't get it. He's staying with my parents and I miss him terribly. Unfortunately I was unable to continue breastfeeding due to medical problems so I'm not able to pass on any antibodies.
