I can not believe I am asking this but I am at a loss. I am having terrible gas pain! I am 99% sure it is gas , that's why I am not completely freaking out. Any suggestions on what I can do?
Happened to me last week two days in a row. It was a bad reaction to diclegis. Long shot but in case you are taking it for nausea you may want to stop. Relief only came after hours in the bathroom. Sorry for tmi. Once I stopped taking it, everything returned to normal. I did call my ob to let her know.
If you can lay down for a while in the fetal position that also might help.
Gas x is totally ok. And I have been having the same issues. Sorry. It SUCKS. totally not too TMI. Seriously this is one of the least gross aspects of pregnancy bahaha I mean don't get me wrong, I don't plan on discussing it with my husband but I'm hoping this board will be a pretty open place. Let's face it.... pregnancy is a wonderful, amazing, disgusting, and challenging thing to go through!
It has been my WORST symptom!! I say I have pregnancy induced IBS. Happens about every three days no matter what I eat (I did not have this problem before ). I'm glad you asked about it, I have found no one I'm comfortable talking with about it that has had it this bad. I mean it doubles me over in pain! I'd take nausea any day!
Mine too... Not flatulence but painful bloating gas cramps making me feel nauseated, sick and just plain miserable and making me look like I'm showing much farther than I really am. It's depressing actually lol

I'm an RN and we commonly rx simethecone (the active ingredient found in Gas-X) for painful, gassy bloating. I'm giving you the name of the active ingredient in case there is a generic brand that is cheaper for you.
This happened bad to me last night, I was doubled over with sharp shooting pains! I took gasX and 30 min later I was still in pain so my mom suggested laying on my back and pulling my knees into my stomach/chest repeatedly in like a pumping motion. I did it for like 5 minutes and my intense pain faded into mild discomfort and then within 30 min I felt fine. I did dispel some of the gas while doing this so don't do this with an audience lol. I guess it makes sense as I worked it through with the motions but was shocked how quickly I felt better!

This is what helps me most with gas-I lay with a pillow under my legs (between knee and butt) to lessen the lower back pressure and I am able to pass gas better that way and I drink peppermint tea. Gas is no fun for sure
Try sitting in a squatting position for a while (or you could just squat, but that can be hard on your legs and hard to balance). Like, sit down on a small stack of books, a yoga block, a low stair, or something like that in a squatting position and just stay there for a few minutes. It should release some of the gas. Also, you might want to do this while you're alone!! We did this as a yoga pose in my prenatal class (it's supposed to be good preparation for the birth), and I discovered it has the miraculous side effect of helping with gas.
I have this pain a lot and it is so uncomfortable I thought I was the only one! I will have to try some of these remedies. Anyone know if tums will help?
Luckily my extreme gas seems to have passed but I would like to tell you ladies that I also suffer from pretty bad constipation. For Christmas, my mom got me the Squatty Potty from Bed, Bath & Beyond. It is amazing! I swear by it! I strongly recommend it to anyone who has trouble going #2

Anyway, give it a try. I hope it helps!
