@joose it's totally normal to be a bit disappointed if you were hoping for a little girl but wonderful news you have a healthy baby boy coming! Try not to beat yourself up about your feelings of disappointment, let yourself feel that way for a day or so & then start shopping for all the cute little boy things you can find! Congrats to you!
@joose159 I wanted a girl with #1 and we got a boy. I am utterly obsessed with him. He is so yummy, delightful, cuddly, sweet, fun and beautiful. I now want all boys because he is so amazing. I'm having a girl this time. Haha.
@joose159 we both want a girl so that's why we aren't finding out. In my mind I won't be disappointed once they hand me a baby. Hell after what will probably be 24+ hours of labor I won't care if it's another dog.
My point being- Don't feel guilty at all! The only thing that matters is how much you will love your healthy baby boy when he gets here! And as my mom keeps saying "eventually you'll have a girl!".
I was bummed when we found out our second was a boy. Part of it was shock that I got pregnant when our daughter was 13 months.
Regardless, he's been pretty great (crazy as all get out, but GREAT)! There's nothing like having that mama-son connection. It's totally different than the mama-daughter connection. I'm now pregnant with another boy, and I'm super excited for it!
Anyway, all that to say, allow yourself all the feels and you're totally right that you'll forget it all once he's in your arms
@joose159 I'm slightly worried that I might have the same feelings after our a/s (this Friday). It will mostly be hard because I have such a strong gut feeling that it's a girl...so I think my disappointment will mostly be in myself. Just know you're not alone...all of our babies will be so loved!

I definitely think the fact I was SO sure it was a girl threw me the most.... I was genuinely surprised.
