I had the Moby Wrap with my last one and it was awesome! My daughter was very colicy and it helped to sooth her by walking around with her. My husband wore her too for my sometimes and he didn't mind a bit. We used it until she started crawling. I plan to buy another one. It is one of my personal must have items.
We started out with a k'tan and ergo, and later upgraded to add two Tulas and a Tekhni woven wrap. I loooooove our Tulas and wrap. The k'tan was great for when my son was teeny tiny and I didn't have the confidence to wrap. I'm hoping to add a sling this time!
Baby wearing is all good, especially for infants. I wore my infant out of practicality, it wasn't a philosophical choice. I still wear my 1 year old on occasion. I'll probably do more baby wearing just trying to juggle two. I just wish it didn't come with a whole lifestyle/attachment parenting philosophy. I've met so many dogmatic baby wearing people. I don't get that.
I totally agree. I also cloth diaper and lately my son has been co sleeping (he was hospitalized for almost a month so this makes him happy and I'm ok with that) but I hate the stereotypes associated with these things. I don't think I'm crunchy, for instance. Not that there's anything wrong with it, it's just a label I don't associate with. But ultimately I love what we do with our son. He's happy, we're happy, all is good.
I wore DS with an infantino newborn, k'tan, mei tai and ergo 360. Haven't tried the Tula or ring slings but have heard wonderful things. I Found a water-appropriate carrier on Amazon and used it to take DS in the ocean and waterfall in Hawaii.
Plan to continue and wear this one as well. DS wants out usually unless he's tired. He's 10 months and does not want to be contained.
