I think having a winter wedding is ridiculous unless you are getting married somewhere where it's warm all the time. Otherwise, why are you risking people's lives in the middle of ice/sleet/freezing rain/snow? And it's cold. You can't have your pictures outside (unless you're rude and want your bridal party to freeze to death), and people don't like to go out as much in the winter.
But yes, schedule your winter wedding so it is "different."
It might depend where you're from? In some areas people are quite used to snow/cold so maybe it wouldn't bother them as much. That being said, I DID grow up in an area prone to harsh winters, and I would hate it if I had to stand outside for photos. Bottom line, if you're going to have a winter wedding, don't ask me to be on the bridal party
I agree however here where I live the reason is : college football. Spring is too expensive and summer is too hot.

I doubt this will be much of a UO, but I just wanted to vent. I can't stand how the weather forecasters are saying a bijillion different things in regards to the winter storm that is starting up tonight and going through Saturday. In the past couple of days I have heard that we are supposed to get one of the following: quarter inch of ice inch of ice six to twelve inches of snow twelve or more inches of snow six to ten inches of snow and sleet mixed a mix of all of the above not to total more than six inches
Ummmmm and that is just for our area. They can't seem to make up their minds!!!!!!!!!!! Each forecast they say something different. Meanwhile, the milk and bread are disappearing on the shelves like crazy. And I need snowboots. I doubt I will be able to find any, but I need some. We don't get a lot of this type of weather down here and I keep forgetting to buy snow boots until I need them and then there aren't any left.
Just for a regional reference for those that might not live down south. The south is ill equipped to handle this weather b/c it is not a regular occurrence so basically everything shuts down. i.e. we got less than a half of an inch of snow yesterday that barely even stuck to the roads and school was closed for today. I hate snow/ice/sleet etc. I don't mind it if it falls and the only thing it sticks to is the grass. I'm fine as long as it leaves the roads alone. But usually it will stick to the roads too and cause a huge mess. B/c the south is so ill equipped to handle this, only the main roads get taken care of first. By the time they get to the secondary roads, it has melted. So basically if you live in an area that is not near a main road, you pretty much get stuck in your driveway for a day or two. I can usually deal with it better than I can this year. This year is what if something happens to the baby while I'm snowed in and can't get to a hospital. I know the chances are slim, but that is usually how my luck goes. Last year I miscarried during a snowy time period. That was NOT fun.
Also people buy weird items in preparation for snow. I had to get groceries anyway today so I was dreading going to the store with the milk and bread snow crazies. Anyway they have sold out of frozen pizzas. How in the heck are you going to cook frozen pizzas when the power goes out? Power outages are super common here with this kind of weather. I mean really.

Speaking of men's fashion, I don't like men in skinny jeans... or long scruffy beards. We have mucho hipsters here so I get to see these looks all the time.
Late to jump on UO today, and enjoyed finding out that it's a UO to hate avocados, to love them, or to think that they're just okay. Basically if you've ever eaten an avocado and could comment on it one way or another, it's an unpopular opinion!
I also want to comment on the confused people who are pretending to not like pizza. You do like pizza. Everyone likes pizza. I don't know a single person in real life that doesn't like pizza.
Trying to think of a UO of my own so I can give you guys something to make fun of me for now, but my brain is too tired. Happy Thursday night!!

This made me laugh SO HARD! But I agree. Everyone loves pizza!

I like the pepperoni on the pizza...does that count as "liking pizza"? Because if so, I guess I have to say I lied about my unpopular opinion lol for real though...just...ew.

Yep same here. I will eat the toppings. I just don't like the whole crust part. Blech!
Apparently this is an UO, but I think being overweight has negative health impacts. This does not mean that I believe all thin people are healthy.
I don't think this is an UO. The problem is people telling others what their body should look like. The majority of people who are overweight know they are and don't need to be reminded of that fact. The same goes for thin people. There are MANY other things that are way more deteriorating to your health than being overweight/underweight.
My UO is I LOVE 90's country music, and current country music, but mostly 90's. I had the best shower concert last night belting out all my favorites.

I am the exact opposite. I peel all the toppings off and eat the crust. That's the best part!

Pizza crust is by far the best part of pizza!!
I am also in the I don't like "rustic" camp. That kind of decor is what I lived with growing up because we were poor. Everything was beat up, broken, or unfinished. Rustic = my poor childhood. I'll pass on that.
I think this one might actually be a UO, I hate full panel maternity pants. I own a few pairs but I only wear them as long as needed and then I change asap. They are too tight on my belly and make me itch like crazy. I much prefer low panel maternity pants.
My "ketchup is spicy" data set is from State College:) And a group of sorority girls at Penn State who insisted that none of them could eat ketchup because it was too spicy.

I was married in upstate New York on December 28, 2012 and no one died. It was the only way we could afford a wedding that we had to pay for ourselves, and the time of year was beautiful. We also didn't have to pay to decorate the church or the reception hall because they were still decorated. I didn't need pictures outside, inside the church and the fireplace were perfect. Almost everyone we invited came, but then again they're all from upstate NY so cold doesn't make us blink an eye.
My UO: I don't care if people send me a thank you note. Personally, I send them, but it doesn't matter to me if I receive them. I get people a gift because I want to, not because I'm expecting something in return. I'd never stop talking to someone or get pissed over it.
Keebler makes similar cookies to girl scouts that taste better. In agreement that it's the one per year aspect of girl scout cookies that make them some desirable. But seriously, I used to love caramel delites, but then I found coconut dreams, and my love affair with girl scout cookies ended.
I used to hate it too a long time ago but it's grown on me. I love Nutella, peanut butter and banana sandwiches. So much yum!!
Avocado on the other hand... Ugh I hate the feeling of it. It has nothing to do with the taste or anything, I just hate how it feels like bitting into butter...it's so waxy/fatty feeling.
Me neither! DH was eating it tonight (right out of the jar with his fingers ) and I couldn't even stand the smell, I had to move away from him!
Ok . . . Nutella or not that makes me feel really nauseated. It makes me think of George Costanza eating Jerry's peanut butter out of the jar with his hands. If MH ever did that he wouldn't know what hit him. He's a bit OCD though so I don't see that happening! lol
I've actually never tried Nutella. I have the worst sweet tooth, and I figured it's better to just not know what it tastes like. It's hard to want something when you don't know what you're missing. And clearly I'm not hurting in the sweets department since I just introduced everyone to coconut dreams.

Lol, I'm in the exact same boat. I have so many friends that looooove Nutella. Once I buy something, I don't have the best self control so I need to abstain completely. Therefore, I've never had Nutella!

bahahah that Seinfeld episode was on last night and George eating the peanut butter with his fingers disgusted me so much I felt like I was back in first tri!

Trust me... I was grossed out as well! He's usually not that disgusting!
While I think they look good on others, I really can't stand maternity tops/pants. They may be more comfortable, but I'm at the stage where they just make me look exceptionally large, and I'm not feeling it.
ETA: It is because almost all the tops have the tie under the boob and then I feel like the pants encourage me to stick out my stomach further because they are so elastic. Maybe I just have odd clothes.
I can't STAND maternity clothes! I'm still forcing my belly into mostly pre-pregnancy clothes with the exception of a few pairs of pants (couldn't do the bella band anymore) and a couple of tops.
Say what?!? This might be a UO but I LOVE maternity clothes!! Full panel pants are my BFF. I've realized ruching doesn't do me any favors but I'm so into tunic-y pregnancy tops. I'm telling you, Pink Blush!
Agreed! I told my husband that I was going to continue wearing my maternity pants post- baby because they are so comfortable and he responded, "well that's when you know you've given up on life!"
Also, I can not get on board with all the food hating. Pizza, ramen (or, frankly, any noodles in hot broth), avocado...hmmmm, maybe I'm pregnant?
