Hey I'm going to preface by saying I've been here since October so I'm not new.
If anyone has an extra 28$ I really recommend this pamphlet series that I ordered online. They helped me understand the cascade of interventions used and theyre pretty clear and detailed about pros and cons of procedures offered/performed on mom and baby. Lots of great pictures. It's a company called Plumtree Baby out of Colorado.. MUCH better than 'What to Expect' book in my opinion.. seems more current and has a works cited in the back! Anyway, thought someone might benefit. Enjoy if you get them.

    These take an unbiased approach to interventions which I liked. They're more like workbooks than a brochure. They're informative in the way they outline the stages of labor and give advice on how to combat pain and discomfort with poses and different strategies. I haven't found any science-based guides that actually have studies listed. I want to be well informed and random websites are paid for by special interest/ads.
