I am making French toast for dinner, but I only have sandwich bread instead of thicker bread so my French toast might be a little flimsy. Kinda bummed about that..
Married July 2014 DD born June 2016 Second due August 2020 (team green!)
My husband decided it was an awesome idea to go on a week long hunting trip. We had painters come Tuesday and they just left today so my living room and kitchen were disaster areas. Apparently when you Unplug a receiver from direct tv to move the tv away from the wall the satellite wont work anymore. We had an ice storm today. So Ive been stuck inside with a 2 year old by myself, with no TV, while trying to get work done. To top of off I told my husband he couldn't go on the trip when he asked 3 months ago. I finally got Netflix to work and my 2 year old picked fucking Barney to watch.
Donate those gift cards to families who have children in your local children's hospital. They are so thankful to have a nice meal in the midst of their turmoil.

You could play with the two year old if you hate Barney so much...

I LOVE YOU!!!! I had no clue what to have for dinner tonight, but now I'm having French toast
We have been given so many clothes since my son was born that they have taken over our basement storage and our den. Sigh. We have at least 9 tubs of clothes 24 months and smaller.
I am the biggest germophibe. I use way to much germ-x and colorox wipes. I sweep my floors every night after dinner. I was casually sweeping around the dogs dish tonight, moved it a little the right and there was a DEAD MOUSE laying there. Yup a real life dead mouse. I feel like I just need to flatten my house down and start over because who the heck knows where the mouse went and how many more are living here.. Ahhhhhhh!!!

That's a serious problem, not a first world problem!
Ate too much pizza for dinner, now I have a stomach ache.
Also, got a notification that I used up all my data for this month because the wifi at my school sucks. Data doesn't reset until Sunday...what's a girl to do?! Not use anymore data before then, or pay more this month?

At that moment in time I was having to work from home. Can't look over pricing while playing. Don't worry though, after I clocked out we made homemade organic play dough with essential oils, painted a water color portrait of each other, both learned itsey bitsy spider on the guitar, and made homemade pizza for dinner. It was amazing.
We scored a free jeep that is actually really nice (leather, power windows/locks, runs and drives, 4WD) but now my husband is going to spend all weekend playing with his new toy outside instead of entertaining me.

The stupid cat is in bed with me right now, and is purring insanely loud. It's DH's turn to take her out, but he's playing video games so I'm just waiting it out and getting more annoyed by the second. (We put the cat in the garage at night because she has a terrible habit of waking us up with her purring and incessant neediness at 2 a.m.).
@sdnybrk OMG!!!!!! That is the greatest thing ever!!!!!!
@malgal85 I have no clue... lol. I was working with glitter mesh/netting today (making giant bows and gathering more for tiny tutus) and I think whatever was on my shirt fell in my pants when I had to pee. Needless to say, my toilet is now covered in rainbow glitter.
It snowed, and my boots are in the attic. Yesterday I wore rain boots to play in the snow and my feet were cold. I may do it again today unless DH offers to get my boots. I don't want to go in the attic.
Im out of icecream, and I want a hot fudge sundae with a fresh brownie. I also don't have brownies.

Every time I sit on the couch and get cozy the cat ignores me.... Hmmm maybe I'll go get a snack...cat hops up, curls up and falls asleep.. Dammit cat.
@sdLindenberg I feel your pain with the glitter. One of our spring productions involves glitter bombs/glitter cannons to be imbedded into the costumes. FML.
Mine is an actually problem, hope that's ok. I posted on the check in too but thought maybe this would get more traffic... Not baby related but wondering if anyone has advice or experience... We live in a fairly drafty house- even when our heat is set at 72 it is always in the high 50s in our bedroom so we have a space heater. The space heater reads actual temperature in the room when it's running, well last night I woke up (melting) and the heater said our room was at 87° (the highest setting on the space heater is 75) so this was a result of our home heater... We turned off the space heater & turned the heat down to 70 but it's still really warm in the house (the upstairs feels like 95!) I'm nervous because this has never happened before... I had my husband outside in the snow storm to check that no vents were covered or anything (he says they aren't from what he sees). I'm nervous about carbon monoxide or the heater overheating?! (Is that a thing)?! The air coming out of the vents is hot... Any advice welcome!
*eta being too hot in a blizzard is a first world problem I suppose?!

If you are nervous about CO, get a detector for every level of the house. It needs to be outlet level and within 5' of every bedroom or sleeping place.
Our house runs on the cold side because we need more insulation in the attic. Maybe the snow has iglooized your house and helping to keep the heat in? I really don't know anything about this though, but I do know about CO detectors as we just bought our house and they are important. I just hope baby doesn't discover them one day and press the fun "test" button.
@CopperLane thank you I know we need to get new CO detectors but we can't go anywhere today (it's coastal flooding outside & a foot + of snow that's still coming down) I will get them this week but I'm concerned about the immediate situation... Thanks for your thoughts on the snow acting like an igloo, I guess it's possible?! No idea! We're over here in shorts & tank tops in a snow storm!
@MsBeachNJ there's really no other way to tell, unless you have a canary for the old mine trick. I bet you could google your heater model and see if it would emit CO. maybe sleeping next to a cracked window will help ease your mind as well until you can get a detector.
@MsBeachNJ what kind of heat do you have? CO is given off when the gas or other energy source is not completely burned. If your house is so hot it sounds like the fuel source is being burned and the thermostat is the broken part (not recognizing the temp and turning off). If your house is heated with natural gas and there was a dangerous amount of gas in the home it would smell like rotten eggs it's a very distinct smell. Typically unsafe amounts of gas accumulate when there is a leak in the system and the gas that has not been burned is escaping.
Just last week I walked into my sons preschool and immediately smelled strong natural gas... NOT GOOD! I asked three staff members if they could smell it and they all said "yeah I smell something gross but I don't know what it is" and I knew for sure that I was smelling gas. So I had the front desk lady evacuate the building ASAP and call the utilities company. Sure enough there was a broken line outside that was spewing so much gas that the inside of the building stunk. I was inside the building for about ten or fifteen and had a terrible headache. I called my OB and they said if I never lost consciousness then baby was fine because there was still plenty of oxygen in my system.
If you're worried I would call your utilities company or an HVAC company to come check out your system.

I'm covered in glitter from making custom costumes. Somehow it's even in my underwear. TMI? Possibly, and I apologize.

And this isn't fffc..oops
@Kycleaves3 the only solution is to burn the house down. I just don't see any other option.
@TwoBadMice is awesome.
@malgal85 @sdLindenberg at least you didn't do this...
I'm so lazy anymore. Geez.
