I know I'm echoing what others have said, but I think there is little point in making "rules" for yourself before baby arrives. when I had my son, I let myself be guided by instinct and just did what seemed best and safest for him, my husband and I. For us, that meant cosleeping and extended breastfeeding - things I didn't "plan" on doing. Just...wait and see.

  • Before I had a kid I was anti-co-sleeping and bedsharing. Then I actually became a parent and I learned how much easier it is. (Hint: WAY freaking easier!)
Now our son is two and he sometimes sleeps in his bed and sometimes sleeps in ours. It works well for us.

    Same.

We didn't start co sleeping or bed sharing until she was around 8 or 9 months though. She was rolling and had head control plus that's when I mastered laying down and nursing so I would just roll over and fall asleep with her nursing.

I'm another anti co-sleeping (as in bed sharing). For us our bed was just way too small for me, h, twins and dogs even if I wanted to. My husband is such a deep sleeper and moves around a lot and I became a really light sleeper so I never wanted to put the babies in the bed with us. I exclusively breastfed and it was just way easier taking them to the nursery for feedings because I stayed awake better than laying or sitting in bed and trusted myself more that way. I don't plan on cosleeping this time around either. I do like having them in my room for a while though next to the bed.
