Boy name help

So my DH has a major thing for names that begin with vowels, he thinks they sound best with our last name. DD is Olivia anne. We have had a much harder time with boy names but Owen and Elliott seem to be the top two (he also likes Ansel but I'm not a big fan). Do you have a preference for Owen Elliott vs Elliott Owen? We were leaning towards the former but the more I think about it I'm just not sure.

My cousin has kids named Owen and Olivia. I think it's a bit matchy, and Owen is definitely on the rise. I only knew 2 boys that were born last year, and they were both named Owen. Elliott is so cool and sounds great with Olivia.

I'd choose Elliott Owen, because I like Elliott better with Olivia. Owen and Olivia is too matchy for me.

I prefer Owen in general and I think Olivia and Owen are fine together. Unless having the same first letter bothers you which I assume it doesn't or you wouldn't be considering it. They aren't matchy in any other way.

I prefer Elliot over Owen but if you have an Elliot and an Olivia as a sibset I am going to assume you are a huge Law & Order: SVU fan.

I'm cracking up that i didn't connect the names to SVU considering my obsession with the series. That being said I don't think it's a huge deal Elliott has been gone for several seasons and I think benson and stabler is an association but since they use surnames so much in the series first names aren't a huge deal especially since they aren't on it together anymore. And as time goes on its even going to more of a past thing. I do love some svu though I'm watching it now actually!

I cant believe i didnt see that connection either when ive literally been binge watching that for weeks! I agree with PP that their last names are much more used because even I (I mean literally finished an episode like an hour ago....) didnt catch it. I still like Elliott and Olivia better than Owen and Olivia, but also dont have a huge issue with the matchy O's however might be odd if you involve a third child later on that isnt an O.

Thanks everyone! We aren't big tv watchers so have never seen SVU. I'm okay with the connection though

I think Owen Elliott flows better and is easier to say than Elliott Owen. I don't think Owen and Olivia are too matchy, why would they be because they start with the same letter?!? Lol. Anyway, my DS name is Owen Everett. You have great choices.
