Are any of you doing "Maternity Pictures", my in-laws keep asking me if I'm doing them and I keep telling them I'm not!! Then I get a million questions on "why not?!" I will probably do a few cute pics with DH and our dogs but I don't see the point in having a ton of pictures that I look HUGE in. What will I do with those afterwords?? I MUCH rather have adorable newborn pictures. They just don't understand and apparently are listening to me... thoughts?
Re: Maternity Pictures
To each their own though! We also did a newborn shoot in our nursery. I love looking at those pictures of us, in our home. We didn't do any where he was squished into some random object - just pictures of us together. These were some of my favorites...

I have a nice camera and a tri-pod so maybe I'll take a few on my own just to have but I think I'd rather spend the money on a newborn shoot when the baby is here and hopefully find a photographer that is willing to incorporate us into a few of the photos as well. We'll see. Maybe I'll get hormonal and want some. Who knows.

We've also taken belly shots each week just for us to keep.

Triplets due 6/29/16 also from an IUI!
I found a photographer that bundled maternity, newborn, six month, nine months, and first birthday pictures all into one price! It seems like a reasonable price to me so I will do maternity pictures. If it wasn't a part of the bundle I don't think I would go out of my way to hire someone to do them.

Another form my first session
Another couple when I had DS
I can definitely understand why some women don't want them. I've had friends who really struggled with their pregnant bodies, but all were so amazing and beautiful to me that it was hard for me to understand where they were coming from at first.
and it's a pain to set up the camera. so i am at 20 weeks and have exactly ONE pregnancy photo (that was my iphone set up on some books with the timer). and i don't really feel that excited about taking more.
I get super uncomfortable with photo shoots. we didn't even hire a photographer at our wedding (just had some friends take some shots).
I think that's what we'll do here too. I have a few friends that are excellent photographers. if they can take a couple just so we have something to commemorate this time, i think that will be enough.
